Isaiah 57
1 The righteous one, hath perished, And not a man, hath taken it to heart—Yea the men of lovingkindness, have been withdrawn No one considering, That from the presence of calamity, hath the righteous been withdrawn.
೧ಸಜ್ಜನರು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಯಾರೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಾರರು; ಸದ್ಭಕ್ತರು ಗತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆಹಾ, ಶಿಷ್ಟರು ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಯೋಚಿಸರು.
2 He entereth into peace, Let them rest upon their couches, —Each one who went on a straight path.
೨ಇವರು ಸಮಾಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ; ನೀತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ದೀರ್ಘನಿದ್ರಾಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
3 But, ye, …draw near hither, Ye sons of divination, —Ye seed of an adulterer when your mother committed unchastity!
೩ಮಾಟಗಾತಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯ ಸಂತಾನದವರೇ, ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ!
4 Against whom would ye disport yourselves? Against whom would ye widen the mouth and lengthen the tongue, —Are not, ye, Children of transgression, A Seed of falsehood.
೪ಯಾರನ್ನು ಗೇಲಿಮಾಡಿ ವಿನೋದಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಯಾರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬಾಯಿದೆರೆದು ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚುತ್ತೀರಿ?
5 Who inflame yourselves With the terebinths, Under every green tree—Slaying the children, In the torrent-valleys, Under the clefts of the crags:
೫ಏಲಾ ಮರಗಳ ತೋಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಸೊಂಪಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮರದ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮದವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಕಣಿವೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಗವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವ ನೀವು ದ್ರೋಹದ ಸಂತಾನವೂ, ಸುಳ್ಳಿನ ಸಂತತಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
6 Among the smooth stones of the torrent—valley, is thy portion. They, they, are thy lot; Even to them, hast thou Poured out a drink-offering. Caused to ascend a gift. Over these things, can I cease to grieve?
೬ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಂತಾನವೇ, ಹೊಳೆಯ ನುಣುಪಾದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಗತಿ, ಅವುಗಳೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಲು; ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಪಾನದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೈವೇದ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಸುರಿದು, ಧಾನ್ಯದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಿ. ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆಗುವುದೇ?
7 On a mountain high and uplifted, hast thou set thy couch, —Even thither, hast thou gone up, to offer sacrifice;
೭ಮಹೋನ್ನತ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಮಂಚವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ, ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಲು ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿದ್ದಿ.
8 And behind the door and the post, hast thou set thy symbol, For, with another than me, hast thou uncovered thyself and gone up—Hast widened thy couch, And hast solemnised for thyself a covenant from them, Thou hast loved their couch a sign, hast thou seen;
೮ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಲುವಿನ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಂಚದ ಗವಸಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ. ಅವರ ಸಂಗಮವನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ.
9 And hast gone to the king with oil, And hast multiplied thy perfumes, —And hast sent thy messengers afar, And…lowered thyself as far as hades! (Sheol h7585)
೯ಬಹು ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ, ತೈಲವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಪರರಾಜನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿದ್ದಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರ ದೂರ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಿ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಾತಾಳದವರೆಗೂ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ. (Sheol h7585)
10 With the length of thy journey, thou wast wearied, Thou didst not say, Hopeless! The reviving of thy power, thou didst find, For this cause, hast thou not become sick.
೧೦ನೀನು ನಡೆದು ನಡೆದು ಆಯಾಸಗೊಂಡರೂ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹೊಸ ಬಲವನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಂಡಿ; ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಸೋತುಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
11 Whom then hadst thou been anxious about and feared that thou shouldest speak falsely, When me, thou rememberedst not, caredst not for me? Did not, I, keep silence even from age-past times, Although me, thou wouldest not fear?
೧೧ನೀನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ನನಗೆ ಮೋಸಮಾಡಿದಿ? ಈ ದ್ರೋಹಕ್ಕೂ ಹಿಂದೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ! ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಅಂಜದೆ ಇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಬಹುಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದೇ ಕಾರಣವಲ್ಲವೇ?
12 I, will expose thy righteousness, —And thy works—but they will not profit thee!
೧೨ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ತರುವೆನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ.
13 When thou makest outcry, let thy gathered throngs deliver thee! But all of them, shall A wind, catch up—A breath, take away! Whereas he that seeketh refuge in me, Shall inherit the land, And possess my holy mountain.
೧೩ನೀನು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಕೂಡಿಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನುದ್ಧರಿಸಲಿ. ಆದರೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಉಸಿರು ಅದನ್ನು ಒಯ್ಯುವುದು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುವವನೋ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು.
14 And one said—Cast ye up—cast ye up, prepare ye a way, —Lift the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.
೧೪“ಮಣ್ಣು ಹಾಕಿರಿ, ಹಾಕಿರಿ, ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಿಮಾಡಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ದಾರಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅಡಚಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಒಂದು ವಾಣಿಯು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.
15 For, thus, saith he that is high and lifted up—Inhabiting futurity, And, holy, is his name: A high and holy place, will I inhabit, Also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, and To revive the heart of them who are crushed; —
೧೫ಸದಮಲನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಶಾಶ್ವತಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಮಹೋನ್ನತನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಉನ್ನತಲೋಕವೆಂಬ ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ನಾನು, ಜಜ್ಜಿಹೋದ ದೀನಮನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು, ದೀನನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ ಜಜ್ಜಿಹೋದವನ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನೂ ಉಜ್ಜೀವಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
16 For not age-abidingly, will I contend, Nor perpetually, will I be wroth, —For, spirit, before me, would faint, Even the breathing souls, which, I, had made.
೧೬ನಾನು ಸರ್ವದಾ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಡೆಯ ತನಕ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೆನು, ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆತ್ಮವೂ, ನಾನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಜೀವವೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕುಂದಿಹೋದಾವು.
17 Because of his iniquitous gain, was I wroth—and smote him Hiding myself that I might be wroth, —But he went on turning aside in the way of his own heart.
೧೭ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ದೋಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದೆನು, ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ರೋಷಭರಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು; ಅವರೋ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತೋರಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
18 His ways, have I beheld, That I might heal him, —And guide him, And restore consolations to him and to his mourners:
೧೮ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿನ ದುಃಖಿತರಿಗೆ, ಆದರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.”
19 Creating the fruit of the lips—Prosperity! Prosperity! For him that is far off and for him that is near saith Yahweh, So should I heal him.
೧೯ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಯೋಗ್ಯಫಲವಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿ, “ದೂರದವನಿಗೂ ಸಮೀಪದವನಿಗೂ ಕ್ಷೇಮವಿರಲಿ, ಸುಕ್ಷೇಮವಿರಲಿ, ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
20 But, the lawless, are like the sea when tossed, —For, rest, it cannot! But its waters toss out mire and dirt.
೨೦ದುಷ್ಟರಾದರೋ ಅಲ್ಲೋಲಕಲ್ಲೋಲವಾದ ಸಮುದ್ರದಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅದು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರದು, ಅದರ ತೆರೆಗಳು ಕೆಸರನ್ನೂ, ಹೊಲಸನ್ನೂ ಕಾರುತ್ತಲಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
21 No well-being, saith my God, to the lawless!
೨೧“ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
