Isaiah 57
1 The righteous one, hath perished, And not a man, hath taken it to heart—Yea the men of lovingkindness, have been withdrawn No one considering, That from the presence of calamity, hath the righteous been withdrawn.
১ধার্মিক বিনষ্ট হচ্ছে, কিন্তু কেউ সে বিষয়ে বিবেচনা করে না; চুক্তির বিশ্বস্ত লোকদের একত্রিত করা হয়, কিন্তু কেউ বুঝতে পারে না যে, বিপদের সামনে থেকে ধার্মিকলোকদের একত্রিত করা হয়।
2 He entereth into peace, Let them rest upon their couches, —Each one who went on a straight path.
২সে শান্তিতে প্রবেশ করে; সরলপথগামীরা প্রত্যেকে নিজেদের বিছানার ওপরে বিশ্রাম করে।
3 But, ye, …draw near hither, Ye sons of divination, —Ye seed of an adulterer when your mother committed unchastity!
৩কিন্তু হে জাদুকরীর ছেলেরা, ব্যভিচারী ও বেশ্যার সন্তানেরা, তোমরা এখানে এস।
4 Against whom would ye disport yourselves? Against whom would ye widen the mouth and lengthen the tongue, —Are not, ye, Children of transgression, A Seed of falsehood.
৪তোমরা কাকে উপহাস কর? কাকে দেখে তোমরা মুখ খোল ও জিভ বের কর? তোমরা কি অধর্ম্মের সন্তান ও মিথ্যাবাদীদের বংশ নও?
5 Who inflame yourselves With the terebinths, Under every green tree—Slaying the children, In the torrent-valleys, Under the clefts of the crags:
৫তোমরা তো এলোন গাছগুলোর মধ্যে, ডালপালা ছড়ানো প্রত্যেকটি সবুজ গাছের নীচে কামনায় জ্বলে থাক; তোমরা নানা উপত্যকায় ও পাহাড়ের ফাটলে তোমাদের ছেলে মেয়েদের হত্যা করে থাক।
6 Among the smooth stones of the torrent—valley, is thy portion. They, they, are thy lot; Even to them, hast thou Poured out a drink-offering. Caused to ascend a gift. Over these things, can I cease to grieve?
৬তুমি উপত্যকার মসৃণ পাথরগুলির মধ্যে তোমার অংশ, সেইগুলি তোমার অধিকার; তাদের উদ্দেশ্যে তুমি পানীয় দ্রব্য ঢেলেছ, নৈবেদ্য উত্সর্গ করেছ। এই সবেতে কি আমি চুপ করে থাকব?
7 On a mountain high and uplifted, hast thou set thy couch, —Even thither, hast thou gone up, to offer sacrifice;
৭তুমি উঁচু পাহাড়ের ওপরে তোমার বিছানা পেতেছ, সেই জায়গাতেও তুমি বলিদান করতে উঠেছিলে।
8 And behind the door and the post, hast thou set thy symbol, For, with another than me, hast thou uncovered thyself and gone up—Hast widened thy couch, And hast solemnised for thyself a covenant from them, Thou hast loved their couch a sign, hast thou seen;
৮দরজা ও দরজার চৌকাঠের পিছনে তুমি তোমার চিহ্ন স্থাপন করেছ; তুমি আমাকে ছেড়ে চলে গিয়েছ, নিজেকে উলঙ্গ করেছ এবং উঠে গিয়েছ; তুমি তোমার বিছানা প্রশস্ত করেছ; তুমি তাদের সঙ্গে এক চুক্তি করেছ; তুমি তাদের বিছানা ভালোবেসেছ; তুমি তাদের গোপন অংশ দেখেছ।
9 And hast gone to the king with oil, And hast multiplied thy perfumes, —And hast sent thy messengers afar, And…lowered thyself as far as hades! (Sheol h7585)
৯তুমি তেল মলেখ দেবতার কাছে গিয়েছ আর প্রচুর পরিমাণে সুগন্ধি ব্যবহার করেছ। তোমার দূতদের তুমি দূরে পাঠিয়েছ, তুমি মৃতস্থানে গিয়েছিলে। (Sheol h7585)
10 With the length of thy journey, thou wast wearied, Thou didst not say, Hopeless! The reviving of thy power, thou didst find, For this cause, hast thou not become sick.
১০তোমার যাতায়াতের ফলে ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়েছ, তবুও “আশা নেই।” এই কথা বলনি; তোমার হাতের নাড়ি খুঁজে পেয়েছ; এই জন্য তুমি দুর্বল হওনি।
11 Whom then hadst thou been anxious about and feared that thou shouldest speak falsely, When me, thou rememberedst not, caredst not for me? Did not, I, keep silence even from age-past times, Although me, thou wouldest not fear?
১১বল দেখি কার থেকে এমন ত্রাসযুক্ত ও ভীত হয়েছ যে, মিথ্যা কথা বলেছ? তুমি আমাকে ভুলে গিয়েছ, মনে জায়গা দেওনি। আমি কি চিরকাল ধরে নীরব থাকি নি? কিন্তু তুমি আমাকে গুরুত্ব সহকারে গ্রহণ করনি।
12 I, will expose thy righteousness, —And thy works—but they will not profit thee!
১২আমি তোমার ধার্ম্মিকতা ঘোষণা করব, কিন্তু তোমার কাজের জন্য, তারা তোমাকে সাহায্য করবে না।
13 When thou makest outcry, let thy gathered throngs deliver thee! But all of them, shall A wind, catch up—A breath, take away! Whereas he that seeketh refuge in me, Shall inherit the land, And possess my holy mountain.
১৩যখন তুমি চিত্কার কর, তখন তোমার জড়ো করা মূর্তিগুলোই তোমাকে উদ্ধার করুক। পরিবর্তে বাতাস তাদের সবাইকে বয়ে নিয়ে যাবে; একটা নিঃশ্বাস সে সবকে নিয়ে যাবে। তবু যে লোক আমার আশ্রয় নেয় সে দেশের এবং আমার পবিত্র পাহাড়ের অধিকার পাবে।
14 And one said—Cast ye up—cast ye up, prepare ye a way, —Lift the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.
১৪সদাপ্রভু বলবেন, “তৈরী কর, তৈরী কর, আমার লোকদের সামনে থেকে সমস্ত বাধা সরিয়ে ফেল।”
15 For, thus, saith he that is high and lifted up—Inhabiting futurity, And, holy, is his name: A high and holy place, will I inhabit, Also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, and To revive the heart of them who are crushed; —
১৫কারণ যিনি উচ্চ ও উন্নত, যিনি অনন্তকালনিবাসী, যাঁর নাম পবিত্র, তিনি বলছেন, “আমি উন্নত ও পবিত্র জায়গায় বাস করি, চূর্ণ নম্রতা মানুষের সঙ্গে বাস করি যেন নম্রদের আত্মাকে সঞ্জীবিত করি ও চূর্ণ লোকদের হৃদয়কে সঞ্জীবিত করি।
16 For not age-abidingly, will I contend, Nor perpetually, will I be wroth, —For, spirit, before me, would faint, Even the breathing souls, which, I, had made.
১৬কারণ আমি চিরকাল অভিযোগ করব না, সবসমসয় ক্রোধ করব না; করলে আত্মা এবং আমার তৈরী করা প্রাণীরা আমার সামনে দুর্বল হবে।
17 Because of his iniquitous gain, was I wroth—and smote him Hiding myself that I might be wroth, —But he went on turning aside in the way of his own heart.
১৭কারণ তাদের লোভরূপ অপরাধে আমি ক্রুদ্ধ হলাম ও তাকে শাস্তি দিলাম, নিজের মুখ লুকিয়ে ক্রোধ করলাম, তবু সে ফিরে গিয়ে হৃদয়ের পথে চলল।
18 His ways, have I beheld, That I might heal him, —And guide him, And restore consolations to him and to his mourners:
১৮আমি তার পথগুলি দেখেছি, কিন্তু আমি তাকে সুস্থ করব। আমি তাদের পথপ্রদর্শক হব এবং তাকে ও তার শোকাকুলদেরকে সান্ত্বনা দান করব।
19 Creating the fruit of the lips—Prosperity! Prosperity! For him that is far off and for him that is near saith Yahweh, So should I heal him.
১৯আমি ঠোঁটের ফল সৃষ্টি করি; শান্তির কাছাকাছি ও দূরবর্তী উভয়েরই শান্তি,” এটা সদাপ্রভু বলেন। “আমি তাদেরকে সুস্থ করব।”
20 But, the lawless, are like the sea when tossed, —For, rest, it cannot! But its waters toss out mire and dirt.
২০কিন্তু দুষ্টেরা আন্দোলিত সমুদ্র এবং এর জল পাঁক ও কাদা ওপরে ওঠায়।
21 No well-being, saith my God, to the lawless!
২১ঈশ্বর বলছেন, “দুষ্টদের কোনো শান্তি নেই।”
