Isaiah 54

1 Shout in triumph, O barren one, Who hadst not borne, —Break forth into shouts of triumph—and trill thy voice, Who hadst not travailed in birth, For, more, are the children of the Desolate Than the children of Her who had the husband, Saith Yahweh.

Cântă, stearpo, tu care nu ai născut; izbucneşte în cântare şi strigă tare, tu care nu ai avut durerile naşterii, fiindcă mai mulţi sunt copiii celei pustiite decât copiii celei măritate, spune DOMNUL.

2 Enlarge the space of thy tent And the curtains of thy habitations, let them spread forth do not spare, —Lengthen thy cords, And thy tent-pins, make thou fast;

Lărgeşte locul cortului tău şi să întindă ei perdelele locuinţelor tale, nu cruţa, lungeşte-ţi funiile şi întăreşte-ţi cuiele;

3 For, on the right hand and on the left, shalt thou break forth, —And thy seed, shall of the nations, take possession, And forsaken cities, shall they cause to be inhabited.

Fiindcă te vei întinde în dreapta şi în stânga; şi sămânţa ta va moşteni neamurile şi va face cetăţile pustiite să fie locuite.

4 Do not fear for thou shalt not turn pale, Neither feel disgraced for thou shalt not be put to the blush, —For, the shame of thy youth, shalt thou forget, And the reproach of thy widowhood, shalt thou remember no more;

Nu te teme, căci nu vei fi ruşinată, nici nu vei fi încurcată; fiindcă nu vei fi dată de ruşine, pentru că vei uita ruşinea tinereţii tale şi nu îţi vei mai aminti ocara văduviei tale.

5 For, thy husband, is, thy Maker, Yahweh of hosts, is his Name, —And, thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, The God of all the earth, shall he be called.

Fiindcă Făcătorul tău este soţul tău; DOMNUL oştirilor este numele său; şi Răscumpărătorul tău, Cel Sfânt al lui Israel; Dumnezeul întregului pământ va fi el numit.

6 For, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, hath Yahweh called thee, —Even the wife of youthful days, in that thou wast rejected saith thy God.

Căci DOMNUL te-a chemat ca pe o femeie părăsită şi mâhnită în duh şi o soţie a tinereţii, când ai fost refuzată, spune Dumnezeul tău.

7 For a small moment, I forsook thee, —But, with abounding compassions, do I embrace thee:

Pentru puţin timp te-am părăsit, dar cu îndurări mari te voi aduna.

8 In an overflow of vexation, I hid my face for a moment, from thee, But, with lovingkindness age-abiding, have I had compassion on thee, —saith thy Redeemer Yahweh.

Într-o fărâmă de furie mi-am ascuns faţa de tine pentru o clipă, dar cu bunătate veşnică voi avea milă de tine, spune DOMNUL, Răscumpărătorul tău.

9 For, the waters of Noah, is this unto me, —As to which I sware that the waters of Noah should not again pass over the earth, So have I sworn Not to be vexed with thee Nor to rebuke thee.

Fiindcă aceasta este ca apele lui Noe pentru mine, căci aşa cum am jurat că apele lui Noe nu vor mai trece peste pământ, tot astfel am jurat că nu mă voi mai înfuria pe tine, nici nu te voi mai mustra.

10 For, the mountains, may move away, And the hills, may be shaken, —But, my lovingkindness, from thee, shall not move away, And, my covenant of peace, shall not be shaken, saith he who hath compassion upon thee—Yahweh.

Căci munţii se vor depărta şi dealurile vor fi mutate, dar bunătatea mea nu se va depărta de tine, nici legământul păcii mele nu va fi mutat, spune DOMNUL, care are milă de tine.

11 O thou humbled one storm-tossed, uncomforted, —Lo! I, am about to set in antimony, thy stones, And will found thee in sapphires;

Tu, cea chinuită, aruncată de furtună [şi] nemângâiată, iată, voi pune pietrele tale cu frumoase culori şi voi pune temeliile tale cu safire.

12 And make rubies, thy battlements, And thy gates, sparkling stones, —And, all thy boundaries, stones of delight;

Şi voi face ferestrele tale din agate şi porţile tale din rubine şi toate graniţele tale din pietre plăcute.

13 And, all thy children, shall be the instructed of Yahweh, —And, great, shall be the prosperity of thy children.

Şi toţi copiii tăi vor fi discipoli ai DOMNULUI; şi mare va fi pacea copiilor tăi.

14 In righteousness, shalt thou be established, —Be thou far from oppression—But indeed thou shalt not fear, And from crushing calamity—But indeed it shall not come nigh unto thee.

În dreptate vei fi întemeiată; de oprimare vei fi departe, pentru că nu te vei teme; şi de groază, fiindcă nu se va apropia de tine.

15 Lo! they would, quarrel, with thee—not at all from me, —Whoso hath quarrelled with thee, over thee, shall fall.

Iată, cu siguranţă ei se vor aduna, dar aceasta nu va fi de la mine, oricine se va aduna împotriva ta va cădea din cauza ta.

16 Lo! I, have created the smith, who bloweth up a fire of coals, And who bringeth forth an instrument for his work, —And, I, have created the waster to destroy:

Iată, eu l-am creat pe fierar care suflă cărbunii în foc şi care aduce o unealtă pentru munca lui; şi l-am creat pe risipitorul pentru a distruge.

17 No instrument formed against thee, shall prosper, And every tongue that riseth against thee in judgment, shalt thou prove to be lawless, —This is the inheritance of the servants of Yahweh. And, their righteousness, is from me, Declareth Yahweh.

Nicio armă formată împotriva ta nu va prospera; şi fiecare limbă ce se va ridica împotriva ta în judecată o vei condamna. Aceasta este moştenirea servitorilor DOMNULUI şi dreptatea lor este de la mine, spune DOMNUL.
