Isaiah 5
1 Let me sing, I pray you, for a well-beloved of mine, The song of my beloved concerning his vineyard: —A vineyard, had my well-beloved on a very fruitful hill;
Paawita ako alang sa akong hinigugma ug usa ka alawiton sa akong hinigugma mahatungod sa iyang kaparrasan. Ang akong hinigugma may usa ka kaparrasan sa usa ka bungtod nga manggibungahon kaayo:
2 And he thoroughly digged it, And gathered out the stones thereof, And planted it with a precious vine, And built a tower in the midst thereof, Moreover also a wine-press, hewed he therein, —Then waited he that it should bring forth grapes. And it brought forth wild grapes:
Ug iyang gikalotan ug gikuhaan sa mga bato, ug kini gitamnan niya sa labing pinili nga parras, ug gitukoran ug usa ka torre sa taliwala niini, ug gipaangayan usab sa usa ka pug-anan: ug iyang ginapaabut nga magabunga unta, ug mingbunga hinoon sa parras nga ihalas.
3 Now, therefore, O inhabitant of Jerusalem, And men of Judah, —Judge, I pray you, betwixt me, and my vineyard: —
Ug karon, Oh mga pumupuyo sa Jerusalem ug mga tawo sa Juda, hukmi ninyo, ginapangamuyo ko kaninyo, ako ug ang akong kaparrasan.
4 What could have been done further to my vineyard, That I had not done in it? Why then—When I had waited that it should bring forth grapes, Brought it forth, wild grapes?
Unsa pay arang buhaton ko sa akong kaparrasan, nga wala nako buhata? Sa nagpaabut ako nga kini mamunga unta ug parras, ngano nga mamunga man kini ug parras nga ihalas?
5 Now, therefore, I pray you, let me tell, you, what I am about to do to my vineyard, —To take away the fence thereof And it shall be eaten up, To destroy the wall thereof And it shall be trodden down;
Ug karon sultihan ko ikaw kong unsay buhaton ko sa akong kaparrasan: kuhaon ko ang alad niini, ug kini pagaut-uton; bungkagon ko ang kuta niini, ug kini pagatamakan.
6 And I will make it a waste; —It shall be neither pruned nor hoed, But there shall come up briars and thorns, —And upon the clouds, will I lay a charge, That they rain thereon no rain.
Ug kini pasagdan ko nga biniyaan; ug kini dili na pagakapnan ni pagagabangon; apan manurok ang mga sampinit ug mga tunok: ug sugoon ko usab ang mga dag-um nga dili na sila magpaulan ug ulan sa ibabaw niini.
7 Surely the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts, is the house of Israel, And, the men of Judah, are the plantation in which he dearly delighted, —And he waited, For equity but lo! murderous iniquity, For the rule of right but lo the cry of the wronged.
Kay ang kaparrasan ni Jehova sa mga panon mao man ang balay sa Israel, ug ang mga tawo sa Juda mao ang iyang tanum nga makapahimuot: ug siya nagpaabut sa justicia, apan, ania karon, ang pagdaugdaug; nagpaabut sa pagkamatarung, apan, ania karon, ang usa ka pagtu-aw.
8 Alas for them who join house to house, Field to field, bring they near, —Until there is no room, But ye are left to dwell alone in the midst of the land.
Alaut kanila nga mga managsumpay sa balay ug balay, nga mga nanag-ipon sa uma ngadto sa uma, hangtud nga wala nay dapit, ug kamo pagapapuy-on nga mag-inusara sa taliwala sa yuta!
9 In mine ears, [said] Yahweh of hosts, —Verily, houses in abundance, shall become, a desolation, Large and fair, without inhabitant;
Sa akong mga igdulungog nagaingon si Jehova sa mga panon: Sa pagkamatuod, daghanang mga balay nga pagabiyaan, bisan pa mga dagku ug matahum, walay pumupuyo.
10 For, ten yokes of vineyard, shall yield one bath, —And the seed of a homer, shall yield an ephah,
Kay upat ka hectarea nga kaparrasan magahatag usa ka bato, ug usa ka homer nga binhi magahatag lamang ug usa ka ephah.
11 Alas, for them who rise early in the morning that strong drink, they may pursue, —Who follow on in the evening cool [until] with wine, they are heated;
Alaut niadtong mosayo pagbangon sa kabuntagon, aron sila managhubog sa maisug nga mga ilimnon, alaut niadtong managtukaw sa tibook kagabhion hangtud sila manginit sa vino.
12 And it cometh to pass—that lyre and harp, timbrel and flute and wine are in their banquets, —But, the doing of Yahweh, they do not discern, And the work of his hands, have they not seen.
Ug ang alpa ug ang sista, pandereta ug ang mga flauta, ug ang vino anaa sa ilang mga kombira; apan sila wala managtagad sa buhat ni Jehova, ni managpalandong sila sa ginahimo sa iyang mga kamot.
13 Therefore, are my people taken away captive before they know it, —And their honourable men are famished with hunger, And, their multitude, do gape for thirst.
Busa ang akong katawohan ginabihag tungod sa kaalam; ug ang ilang halangdong mga tawo nangamatay sa gutom, ug ang ilang panon sa katawohan gipangmad-an tungod sa kauhaw.
14 Therefore, hath hades enlarged her desire, And opened her mouth to its widest, —And their glory, and their multitude and their pomp. and he that is uproarious shall descend thereinto. (Sheol h7585)
Busa gipadaku sa Sheol ang iyang tinguha, ug ginganga ang iyang baba sa dili masukod; ug ang ilang himaya, ug ang ilang panon sa katawohan. ug ang ilang pagkamapahitas-on, ug siya nga magakalipay sa taliwala kanila, manaug sa sulod niini. (Sheol h7585)
15 And the mean man hath been bowed down And the mighty man hath been humbled, —Yea the looks of the haughty shall be humbled.
Ug ang dautang tawo ginapabuktot ug ang dakung tawo ginapaubos, ug ang mga mata sa mga halangdon ginapaubos:
16 But Yahweh of hosts, hath been exalted, in justice, —And the GOD that is holy hath been hallowed in righteousness;
Apan si Jehova sa mga panon ginatuboy diha sa justicia, ug ang Dios, ang Balaan ginabalaan diha sa pagkamatarung.
17 Then shall the young rams feed where they please, —And, the wastes of the wealthy, shall strangers consume.
Unya ang mga nating carnero magasibsib ingon sa anaa sa ilang pasibsibanan, ug ang mga biniyaan nga dapit sa mga matambok pagakan-on sa mga libud-suroy.
18 Alas! for them Who draw on themselves punishment with cords of falsehood, —And as with waggon-bands, penalty:
Alaut niadtong mga managguyod sa kadautan pinaagi sa mga pisi sa kabakakan, ug sa sala ingon sa pisi nga gihigut sa carromata;
19 Who say—Let his work quicken—let it hasten, That we may see, —And let the purpose of Israel’s Holy One, draw near and come. That we may know!
Nga nagaingon: Paabtika siya, padalia siya nianang iyang buhat, aron among makita kini; ug paduola ug paanhia ang pagtambag sa Baalan sa Israel, aron among hisayran!
20 Alas! for them Who call evil good and good evil, —Who put darkness for light and light for darkness, Who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
Alaut kanila nga nagangalan sa dautan nga maayo, ug sa maayo nga dautan; nga nagabutang sa kangitngit nga ilis sa kahayag, ug sa kahayag nga ilis sa kangitngit; ug nagabutang sa mapait nga ilis sa matam-is, ug sa matam-is nga ilis sa mapait!
21 Alas for them Who are wise in their own eyes, —And in their own sight, are prudent.
Alaut niadtong mga maalam diha sa ilang kaugalingong mga mata, ug mga buotan diha sa ilang kaugalingong pagtan-aw!
22 Alas for them Who are heroes to drink wine, —And men of valour to mingle strong drink,
Alaut niadtong makusog nga moinum sa vino, ug mga tawo nga kusganon sa pagsakot sa maisug nga ilimnon;
23 Who justify the lawless, for a bribe, —Whereas the righteousness of the righteous, they take from him.
Nga nagapakamatarung sa dautan tungod sa hiphip, ug nagakuha sa pagkamatarung sa tawong matarung gikan kaniya!
24 Therefore, As a tongue of fire, eateth up straw, And a flame reduceth, dry grass, to powder, Their root, like rottenness, shall become, And their blossom, like dust shall ascend, —Because they refused the law of Yahweh of hosts, And the utterance of the Holy One of Israel, they despised.
Busa ingon nga ang dila sa kalayo magalamoy sa dagami, ug ingon nga ang mamala nga balili mapulpog diha sa siga, tungod niini ang ilang gamot maingon sa madunot, ug ang ilang putot mawagtang ingon sa abug: tungod kay ilang gisalikway ang Kasugoan ni Jehova sa mga panon, ug gitamay ang pulong sa Balaan sa Israel.
25 For this cause, did the anger of Yahweh kindle upon his own people, And he stretched out his hand against them and smote them—So that the mountains, trembled, And, their dead bodies, served, for fuel in the midst of the streets. For all this, hath his anger, not turned back, But still, is his hand outstretched,
Busa ang kasuko ni Jehova misilaub batok sa iyang katawohan, ug iyang gibakyaw ang iyang kamot batok kanila, ug gilaglag sila; ug ang mga bukid nanagkurog, ug ang ilang mga minatay ingon sa sagbut sa taliwala sa mga dalan. Tungod niining tanan ang iyang kasilag wala mapalong, hinonoa ang iyang kamot iya pang ginabakyaw.
26 Therefore will he lift up an ensign to the nations afar off, And signal for him from the end of the earth, —And lo! with hot haste, will he come:
Ug magapatindog siya ug bandila ngadto sa mga nasud gikan sa halayo, ug pagataghoyan sila gikan sa kinatumyan sa yuta; ug ania karon, sila manganhi sa madali gayud.
27 None shall be weary, and none shall stumble in his midst, He shall neither slumber nor sleep, —Nor shall be loosened, the girdle of his loins, Nor snapped, the thong of his sandals:
Kanila walay pagakapuyan ni mahipangdol sa taliwala kanila, walay magaduka ni mahikatulog; ni maluag ang bakus sa ilang mga hawak, ni mabugto ang liston sa ilang mga sapin:
28 Whose arrows, are sharpened, and all his bows, bent, —The hoofs of his horses, like flint, are accounted, And, his wheels, [are] like a storm-wind:
Kang kinsang mga udyong mahait, ug ang tanan nilang mga panamangabawog; ang mga kuko sa ilang mga kabayo pagaisipon nga santik, ug ang ilang mga ligid ingon sa usa ka alimpulos:
29 A roar, hath he, like a lioness, —He will roar like wild lions—And will growl, and lay hold on prey, and carry into safety, and there be none to deliver.
Ug ang ilang pagngulob mahasama sa leon nga baye, sila managngulob sama sa mga leon nga itoy; oo, sila managngulob, ug manakop sa ilang tukbonon, ug ikalagiw nila kini sa gawas nga walay makagawas ug walay bisan kinsa nga makaluwas.
30 Yea he will growl at him in that day, like the growling of the sea, —Though he look hard for the land, lo! the darkness of distress, Yea the light, hath grown dark in its clouds!
Ug sila managngulob batok kanila niadtong adlawa sama sa dinaguok sa dagat: ug kong adunay usa nga molantaw sa yuta, ania karon, ang kangitngit ug kasub-anan; ug ang kahayag ginangitngitan tungod sa mga panganod niini.
