Isaiah 48
1 Hear ye this—O house of Jacob, Ye who call yourselves by the name of Israel, Yea from the waters of Judah, came they forth, —Who swear by the name of Yahweh, And, by the God of Israel, call to remembrance—Not in truth, nor in righteousness;
Aŭskultu tion, ho domo de Jakob, vi, kiuj estas nomataj per la nomo de Izrael, kiuj devenis el la fonto de Jehuda, kiuj ĵuras per la nomo de la Eternulo kaj citas la Dion de Izrael, ne en vero kaj ne en justeco.
2 For of the holy city, do they call themselves, And on the God of Israel, do they stay themselves, —Yahweh of hosts, is his name.
Laŭ la sankta urbo ili sin nomas, kaj je la Dio de Izrael ili sin apogas; Eternulo Cebaot estas Lia nomo.
3 Things in advance, of old, I declared, Yea out of mine own mouth, came they forth, that I might let them be known, —Suddenly, I wrought and they came to pass.
La estintajn okazintaĵojn Mi anoncis antaŭlonge, el Mia buŝo tio eliris, kaj Mi ĝin aŭdigis; Mi agis subite, kaj ĉio plenumiĝis.
4 Because I knew that—Obstinate, thou wast, —And, a sinew of iron, was thy neck, And thy brow, brazen,
Ĉar Mi sciis, ke vi estas obstina kaj via kolo estas fera tendeno kaj via frunto estas kupra,
5 therefore told I thee—in time past, Ere yet it came, I let thee hear, —Lest thou shouldest say Mine idol wrought them, Yea, my carved image and my molten image, commanded them!
tial Mi anoncis al vi antaŭlonge, Mi aŭdigis al vi, antaŭ ol tio plenumiĝis, por ke vi ne diru: Mia idolo tion faris, mia statuo kaj mia fanditaĵo tion ordonis.
6 Thou hast heard—see it whole, And will, ye, not tell? I have let thee hear new things—from the present time, Even secrets which ye knew not.
Vi aŭdis; rigardo do ĉion; ĉu vi ne devas mem tion konfesi? Mi aŭdigis al vi nun aferojn novajn kaj kaŝitajn, kiujn vi ne sciis.
7 Now, are they created, and not in time past, And, before to-day, thou hadst not heard of them, —Lest thou shouldest say, Lo! I knew them!
Nun ili estas kreitaj, ne antaŭlonge; eĉ unu tagon antaŭe vi ne aŭdis pri tio, por ke vi ne diru: Jen, mi sciis pri ili.
8 Nay! thou hadst not heard, Nay! thou hadst not known, Nay! in time past, thine ear, was not opened, —For I knew that thou, wouldst be treacherous, Yea a transgressor from birth, hast thou been called.
Vi ne aŭdis, vi ne sciis, kaj via orelo antaŭe ne estis malfermita; ĉar Mi sciis, ke vi perfidos, de la momento de via naskiĝo oni ja nomas vin nefidindulo.
9 For the sake of mine own Name, will I defer mine anger, And for my praise, will I restrain myself towards thee, —So as not to cut thee off.
Pro Mia nomo Mi prokrastas Mian koleron, kaj pro Mia gloro Mi detenas Min, ke Mi ne ekstermu vin.
10 Lo! I have refined thee, but not as silver, —I have tested thee, in a smelting-pot of affliction.
Jen Mi vin refandis, sed ne rezultis arĝento; Mi elprovis vin en la forno de mizero.
11 For mine own sake—for mine own sake, will I effectually work For how should it be profaned? And, my glory—to another, will I not give.
Por Mi, por Mi Mi tion faras; ĉar kial oni blasfemu? Mian gloron Mi ne donos al iu alia.
12 Hearken unto me O Jacob, And Israel, my called one, —I, am, the Same I, the first, yea, I, the last:
Aŭskultu Min, ho Jakob kaj Mia alvokito Izrael: tio estas Mi; Mi estas la unua, kaj Mi estas la lasta.
13 Surely, mine own hand, founded the earth, And, my right hand, stretched out the heavens, —While I was calling unto them, they stood forth, at once
Nur Mia mano fondis la teron, kaj Mia dekstra mano etendis la ĉielon; se Mi vokos ilin, ili stariĝos kune.
14 Assemble yourselves—all of you and hear, Who among them, hath told these things? he whom Yahweh loveth, will execute—His pleasure, on Babylon, And his stroke on the Chaldeans.
Kolektiĝu vi ĉiuj kaj aŭskultu: kiu inter ili anoncis tion? tiu, kiun la Eternulo ekamis, plenumos Lian volon en Babel kaj aperigos Lian potencon super la Ĥaldeoj.
15 I—I, have spoken, Yea I have called him, —I have brought him in, and he shall make prosperous his way.
Mi, Mi tion diris, Mi lin alvokis, venigis, kaj sukcesigis lian vojon.
16 Draw ye near unto me—hear ye this, Not in advance in secret, have I spoken, From the very time it cometh into being, there, am I, —And, now, My Lord Yahweh hath sent me and his spirit.
Alproksimiĝu al Mi, aŭskultu tion; de la komenco Mi ne parolis sekrete; de la momento, kiam la afero komenciĝis, Mi tie estis. Kaj ankaŭ nun sendis min la Sinjoro, la Eternulo, kaj Lia spirito.
17 Thus saith Yahweh—Thy Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel, —I—Yahweh, am thy God, Teaching thee to profit, Guiding thee in the way thou shouldest go.
Tiele diras la Eternulo, via Liberiganto, la Sanktulo de Izrael: Mi estas la Eternulo, via Dio, kiu instruas vin por via utilo, kiu kondukas vin laŭ la vojo, kiun vi devas iri.
18 Oh! that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments, —Then had been, like a river, thy prosperity, And, thy righteousness, like the waves of the sea:
Ho, se vi atentus Miajn ordonojn! tiam via paco estus kiel rivero, kaj via justeco kiel la ondoj de la maro;
19 Then had been, like the sand, thy seed, And, the offspring of thy body, like the grains thereof, —Neither cut off nor destroyed had been his name from before me.
kaj via idaro estus kiel sablo, kaj viaj devenantoj kiel ĝiaj grajnetoj; lia nomo ne estus ekstermita nek pereigita antaŭ Mi.
20 Come ye forth out of Babylon, Flee from among the Chaldeans, With triumphant voice, tell ye—let this be heard, Let it go forth as far as the end of the earth, —Say ye—Yahweh hath redeemed his servant Jacob!
Eliru el Babel, kuru el Ĥaldeujo, anoncu kun voĉo ĝojkria, aŭdigu tion, disportu ĝin ĝis la fino de la tero, diru: La Eternulo liberigis Sian servanton Jakob.
21 And they thirsted not, when, through dry places, he led them, Waters out of the rock, caused he to flow out to them, —Yea be cleft a rock and, there gushed out waters:
Kaj ili ne soifis en la dezertoj, tra kiuj Li kondukis ilin; Li elfluigis por ili akvon el roko, Li disfendis rokon, kaj ekfluis akvo.
22 No well-being, saith Yahweh to the lawless,
Sed por la malpiuloj, diras la Eternulo, ne ekzistas paco.
