< Isaiah 48 >

1 Hear ye this—O house of Jacob, Ye who call yourselves by the name of Israel, Yea from the waters of Judah, came they forth, —Who swear by the name of Yahweh, And, by the God of Israel, call to remembrance—Not in truth, nor in righteousness;
Jacob insung mite, Israel mina kikouho le Judah insunga konna pengdoh ho kasei hi ngaijun. Pakai mina kihahsel’a, chule Israel Pathen kou hon ngaijuvin: Bol dinga nakitep nau nabol tapouve.
2 For of the holy city, do they call themselves, And on the God of Israel, do they stay themselves, —Yahweh of hosts, is his name.
Nangma khopi theng tia na kiminvo jeng vanguvin chule Israel Pathen, Amin chu Pakai Van Sepaite ti’a kingaija na kisei jenguve.
3 Things in advance, of old, I declared, Yea out of mine own mouth, came they forth, that I might let them be known, —Suddenly, I wrought and they came to pass.
Masang peh’a ipi hung lhung ding ahi kseipehsa nahi. Chutah in Keiman phulou helouvin athu katanin, chule kana thusei jouse chu ahung gui lhungtai.
4 Because I knew that—Obstinate, thou wast, —And, a sinew of iron, was thy neck, And thy brow, brazen,
Ajeh iham itileh keiman itobang loma louchal le thua nunglou nahi kahen ahi. Na ngong jang chu thih banga nem theilouva ahin, nalu jang jong Hah ngehtah tobanga tah’a ahi.
5 therefore told I thee—in time past, Ere yet it came, I let thee hear, —Lest thou shouldest say Mine idol wrought them, Yea, my carved image and my molten image, commanded them!
Hijeh’a hi ipi hung soh ding ahi kaseipeh ding; ahung guilhun masanga Keiman ipi kabol ding kaseipeh ding nahi. Chutah le nangman, ‘kalim semthu pathen hon abol ahi’ tia na seithei lou ding ahi. Thinga kisem milim le dangka pathen’in thu apeh’ahunglhunga ahitai’ tia nasei thei lou hel ding ahi.
6 Thou hast heard—see it whole, And will, ye, not tell? I have let thee hear new things—from the present time, Even secrets which ye knew not.

7 Now, are they created, and not in time past, And, before to-day, thou hadst not heard of them, —Lest thou shouldest say, Lo! I knew them!
Nangma hon, ‘aphatseh in kahe nauve’ na tilouna dinguva, amaho chu aluiho hilouva, athah leh hiuva ahitai.
8 Nay! thou hadst not heard, Nay! thou hadst not known, Nay! in time past, thine ear, was not opened, —For I knew that thou, wouldst be treacherous, Yea a transgressor from birth, hast thou been called.
Henge, Keiman tu masanga nangman najah khahlou thilho thudol abonna athah ahi, thilho thudol chu ka seipeh ding nahiuve. Ajeh chu Keiman nangho hi na penuva patna itobanga mipedoh’a na hiu le doubol na hiu kahet na hitauve.
9 For the sake of mine own Name, will I defer mine anger, And for my praise, will I restrain myself towards thee, —So as not to cut thee off.
Hijeng jongleh keima jal le kamin jabolna dinga, Keiman kalung hanna ka kituh’a chule ka suhmanghel lou nahiuve.
10 Lo! I have refined thee, but not as silver, —I have tested thee, in a smelting-pot of affliction.
Keiman ka suhtheng nahiuvin, hinla dangka kilhatheng tobanga kabol nahipouve. Hinla meisa lah’a tobanga bol hesohna’a konna kalhah theng nahiuve.
11 For mine own sake—for mine own sake, will I effectually work For how should it be profaned? And, my glory—to another, will I not give.
Kamin jal'a -keima jal jeh’a, Keiman kahoi doh ding nahiuve! Keiman kamin chena hi kamoh beisah lou ding, chule Ka loupina chu lim-semthu to chan kanei lou ding ahi.
12 Hearken unto me O Jacob, And Israel, my called one, —I, am, the Same I, the first, yea, I, the last:
Jacob insung mite, ka lhendoh pen Israel’in kasei hi ngaijuvin! Keima bou Pathen, amasa pen le anunung pen chu kahi.
13 Surely, mine own hand, founded the earth, And, my right hand, stretched out the heavens, —While I was calling unto them, they stood forth, at once
Ka khut tah’a leiset bul ho ka naphudoh’a, ka khut jetlam'a chunga um van hohi ka phajal ahi. Ahsi ho kakou tengleh, amaho abonuva ban neicha hung kigol ding ahiuve.
14 Assemble yourselves—all of you and hear, Who among them, hath told these things? he whom Yahweh loveth, will execute—His pleasure, on Babylon, And his stroke on the Chaldeans.

17 Thus saith Yahweh—Thy Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel, —I—Yahweh, am thy God, Teaching thee to profit, Guiding thee in the way thou shouldest go.
Hiche hi Pakaiyin asei, na Huhhingpu, Israel Mitheng penpa chun, ‘Keima Pakai na Pathen, nangho dinga ipi apha ham ti nahilpa chule najui ding lampia chu napui ja kahi.
18 Oh! that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments, —Then had been, like a river, thy prosperity, And, thy righteousness, like the waves of the sea:
Oh, nanghon kathupeh ho nangai’u hitave leh! Chutileh nanghon chamna chu vadung long banga hunglong intin chule chule chonphatna chu nachunga twikhanglen kinong tobanga nachunga hung kitol lut ding ahi.
19 Then had been, like the sand, thy seed, And, the offspring of thy body, like the grains thereof, —Neither cut off nor destroyed had been his name from before me.
Nachilhah ho chu twikhanlen panga neldiho tama tam dingu-sima sim jou hilou dingu ahi. Na manthaina dingu ahilouleh na insung min’u kisubei talou ding ahitai.
20 Come ye forth out of Babylon, Flee from among the Chaldeans, With triumphant voice, tell ye—let this be heard, Let it go forth as far as the end of the earth, —Say ye—Yahweh hath redeemed his servant Jacob!
Hiti chun, tu jengin jong na sohchanna’a konin chamlhat hitan. Babylon le Babylon mite chu dalha tan. Hiche thuhi sadoh in! Leiset kolning lia samphongin! PAKAIyin asohte, Israel mipite ahuhdohtai.
21 And they thirsted not, when, through dry places, he led them, Waters out of the rock, caused he to flow out to them, —Yea be cleft a rock and, there gushed out waters:

22 No well-being, saith Yahweh to the lawless,
Hinla migilou dingin chamna aumpoi, tin PAKAI chun aseije.
