< Isaiah 42 >

1 Lo! my Servant, I will uphold him, My chosen, well-pleased is my soul, —I have put my spirit upon him, Justice—to the nations, will he bring forth:
Ka sal he ne. Anih he ka moem tih kamah loh ka coelh. Ka hinglu loh a moeithen tih anih soah ka Mueihla ka khueh dongah namtom ham tiktamnah a khuen pah ni.
2 He will not cry out nor will he speak loud, —Nor cause to be heard, in the street, his voice:
Anih tah pang pawt vetih huel uh bal mahpawh. A ol te tollong ah ya uh mahpawh.
3 Cane that is crushed, will he not break, And wick that is fading, will he not quench, —Faithfully, will he bring forth justice:
Capu aka paep te khaem pawt vetih thut aka nap khaw thih mahpawh. Oltak neh tiktamnah te a thoeng sak.
4 He will not fade, nor will he be crushed, Until he establish, in the earth, justice, And for his instruction, Coastlands, wait.
Diklai ah tiktamnah a khueh duela muei pawt vetih paep mahpawh. A olkhueng te khaw khonglong tuiva loh a ngaiuep uh ni.
5 Thus, saith GOD himself—Yahweh, —Creator of the heavens that stretched them forth, Out-spreader of earth, and the products thereof, —Giver of breath to the people thereon, And of spirit to them who walk therein,
Vaan aka suen tih aka dih, diklai aka nulh tih a cadil cahma, a pilnam taengah hiil aka pae, a sokah aka pongpa rhoek taengah mueihla aka pae Pathen Yahovah loh,
6 I—Yahweh, have called thee in righteousness, And will firmly grasp thy hand, —And will keep thee And give thee—As the covenant of a people, As the light of nations:
“Kai Yahovah loh nang te duengnah khuila kang khue coeng. Na kut te kan moem vetih nang kang kueinah ni. Nang te pilnam kah patai la, namtom kah khosae la kang khueh ni.
7 To open eyes that are blind, —To bring forth Out of the dungeon the captive Out of the prison, the dwellers in darkness.
Mikdael te mik tueng sak ham, hlongkhoh te rhomhmop lamloh, hmaisuep kah khosa rhoek te thong im lamloh doek ham ni.
8 I, am Yahweh, that, is my Name, And, my glory, to another, will I not give, Nor my praise to images.
Kai Yahovah loh ka ming neh ka thangpomnah he a tloe taengla, ka koehnah te mueidaep rhoek taengla ka pae mahpawh.
9 Things told in advance, lo! they have come to pass, —And new things, am I telling, Ere yet they spring forth, I let, you, hear them.
Lamhma te ha thoeng coeng tih a thai la ka puen coeng he. A poe hlan ah nangmih kan yaak sak,” a ti.
10 Sing to Yahweh, a song that is new, His praise, from the end of the earth, —Ye that go down to the sea, and the fulness thereof, The Coastlands and ye who dwell therein.
Diklai khobawt lamloh tuitunli la aka suntla rhoek, sanglak boeih neh te kah khosa rhoek loh amah koehnah laa thai te BOEIPA taengah hlai uh lah.
11 Let the wilderness shout, and the cities thereof, The villages wherein dwelleth Kedar, —Let the inhabitants of the crag, raise shouts of triumph, From the top of the mountains, let them cry aloud:
Khosoek neh khopuei, vangca loh huel uh saeh. Kedar khosa rhoek te tamhoe uh saeh lamtah Sela khosa rhoek te tlang som lamloh he uh saeh.
12 Let them render unto Yahweh, glory, —And, his praise, in the Coastlands let them tell.
Thangpomnah te BOEIPA taengah tloeng uh saeh, amah koehnah te sanglak ah thui uh saeh.
13 Yahweh, as a hero, goeth forth, As a man of war, he stirreth up jealousy, —He giveth a cry, yea he raiseth a war-cry, Over his foes, he showeth his strength.
BOEIPA tah hlangrhalh la thoeng tih caemtloek hlang la haenghang coeng. A thatlainah neh yuhui vetih a kawk vaengah a thunkha rhoek te a poe ni.
14 I have held my peace from age-past times, I kept still, I restrained myself, —As a travailing woman, I pant, I breathe hard and gasp, all at once!
Kumhal ham ka ngam coeng tih hil ka phah. Cacun bangla ka thiim uh tih, ka ha-awt la ka kii vaengah luei ka hlak.
15 I will lay waste mountains, and hills, And all their vegetation, will I wither, —And I will make rivers to be shores, And lakes, will I dry up:
Tlang som rhoek te ka khah vetih a baelhing khaw boeih ka rhae ni. Tuiva te sanglak la ka khueh vetih tuibap khaw ka haang sak ni.
16 Thus will I lead the blind, by a way they know not, In paths they know not, will I guide them, —I will make the place that was dark before them to be, light. And crooked ways, to be, straight, These things, have I done unto them, And have not forsaken them.
Hekah olka he ka rhoih vetih amih te ka hnoo mahpawh.
17 They have drawn back They turn very pale Who have been trusting in a graven image, —Who have been saying to a molten image, Ye, are our gods!
Mueithuk dongah aka pangtung tih na mueihloe te, “Mamih kah pathen ni,” aka ti rhoek khaw a hnuk la balkhong uh vetih yahpohnah neh yah a bai uh ni.
18 Ye deaf hear! And ye blind look around that ye may see,
Hnapang rhoek loh ya uh. Mikdael rhoek loh paelki saeh lamtah hmu uh van saeh.
19 Who is blind if not my Servant? Or deaf, like, my messenger whom I send? Who is, blind, like an intimate friend? Or blind like the Servant of Yahweh?
Ka sal phoeiah atah mikdael te unim? Hnapang khaw ka puencawn la ka tueih te unim? Paya bangla aka thuung mikdael neh BOEIPA kah sal bangla mikdael khaw unim?
20 Seeing many things, yet thou heedest not, Opening the ears yet he heareth not,
Na hmuh khaw muep na hmuh uh dae na ngaithuen uh moenih, hna a khui akhaw a yaak moenih.
21 Yahweh, is well-pleased for his own righteousness’ sake, He magnifieth instruction and maketh it majestic.
BOEIPA loh amah kah duengnah dongah hmae tih olkhueng a pomsang nen ni amah athangpom uh.
22 But, that, is a people preyed upon and plundered, Snared in holes, all of them, And, in houses of restraint, concealed, —They have become a prey, and there is none to deliver, —A booty, and there is none to say—Restore!
Pilnam he a poelyoe tih a rheth coeng. Amih boeih te a khui ah khoep a tlaeng tih thong im ah a thuh uh. Te vaengah maeh la poeh tih hlang loh a muk te huul uh pawh. Te vaengah mael laeh aka ti khaw om pawh.
23 Who among you, will give ear to this, —Let him hearken and hear, for an aftertime?
Nangmih ah unim he hna a kaeng vetih, a hnatung vetih a hnuk ah aka hnatang eh?
24 Who gave, as a booty, Jacob. And, Israel, to them who were ready to take prey? Was it not, Yahweh? He against whom we have sinned, And they were not willing, in his ways, to walk, Neither hearkened they to his instruction?
Jakob te muk la muk ham, Israel te poelyoe ham aka pae te unim? A longpuei ah pongpa ham ng'huem uh pawt tih a olkhueng te n'hnatun uh pawt dongah, BOEIPA amah taengah n'tholh uh moenih a?
25 So he hath poured out, upon him, the glow of his anger, and the strength of battle; And it hath set him aflame round about, yet he knoweth it not, And it hath kindled upon him yet he layeth it not to heart.
Te dongah anih te a kosi thintoek neh a hawk thil tih caem kah tlungalnah neh a kaepvai ah a hlawp coeng. Tedae ming pawt tih a taeng a dom pah te khaw a lungbuei ah dueh pawh.
