Isaiah 33
1 Alas! thou plunderer when, thou, hadst not been plundered, And thou traitor when they had not betrayed thee: When thou hast ceased plundering, thou shalt be plundered, When thou hast left off betraying, they shall betray thee.
സ്വയം നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടാതെ വിനാശം വിതയ്ക്കുന്നവനേ, നിനക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം സ്വയം വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെടാതെ വിശ്വാസവഞ്ചനചെയ്യുന്നവനേ, നിനക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം! നീ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു നിർത്തുമ്പോൾ, നീയും നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടും; നീ വഞ്ചിക്കുന്നതു നിർത്തുമ്പോൾ, നീയും വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെടും.
2 O Yahweh! shew us favour, —For thee, have we waited, —Be thou their arm every morning, Yea our salvation in the time of distress.
യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കനിവുണ്ടാകണമേ, ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങേക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഓരോ പ്രഭാതത്തിലും അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ബലവും കഷ്ടതയിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷയും ആയിരിക്കണമേ.
3 At the noise of a tumult, the peoples retreated, —When thou didst lift thyself up, nations were scattered.
അങ്ങയുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ ആരവത്താൽ ജനതകൾ പലായനംചെയ്യുന്നു; അങ്ങ് എഴുന്നേൽക്കുമ്പോൾ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ ചിതറിപ്പോകുന്നു.
4 Then shall your spoil be gathered as the gathering of the caterpillar, —As the swift running of locusts, is he about to run upon them.
വെട്ടുക്കിളി തിന്നുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ കവർച്ച ശേഖരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; വെട്ടുക്കിളിക്കൂട്ടം പറന്നിറങ്ങുന്നതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യർ അതിന്മേൽ ചാടിവീഴുന്നു.
5 Exalted is Yahweh, for he inhabiteth a height, —He hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
യഹോവ ഉന്നതൻ, അവിടന്ന് ഉയരത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്ന് സീയോനെ ന്യായത്താലും നീതിയാലും നിറയ്ക്കും.
6 So shall a wealth of deliverances, wisdom and knowledge, become the stability of thy times, —the reverence of Yahweh, the same is his treasure.
അവിടന്ന് നിന്റെ കാലത്തിന്റെ സുസ്ഥിരമായ അടിസ്ഥാനമായിരിക്കും, അന്ന് ജ്ഞാനം, പരിജ്ഞാനം, ബലം, രക്ഷ ഇവയുടെ സമൃദ്ധമായ നിക്ഷേപം ആയിരിക്കും; യഹോവാഭക്തി ഈ നിക്ഷേപത്തിന്റെ താക്കോലായിരിക്കും.
7 Lo! their heroes, have cried out openly, —the messengers of peace, in bitterness, continue weeping [they say]:
ഇതാ, അവരുടെ ധീരന്മാർ വീഥികളിൽ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; സമാധാനദൂതന്മാർ പൊട്ടിക്കരയുന്നു.
8 The highways are deserted, The passer-by on the path, hath ceased, —He hath broken covenant, He hath despised cities, He hath made no account of men.
രാജവീഥികൾ വിജനമായിത്തീർന്നു, യാത്രക്കാർ ആരുംതന്നെ വഴിയിൽ കാണുന്നില്ല. ഉടമ്പടി ലംഘിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, അതിന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾ നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, ആരുംതന്നെ ആദരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നില്ല.
9 The land mourneth, languisheth, Lebanon, displayeth shame, is withered, —Sharon, hath become, as the waste plain, And Bashan and Carmel are shaking off their leaves.
ദേശം ഉണങ്ങിവരണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, ലെബാനോൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചു വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു; ശാരോൻ മരുഭൂമിപോലെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു, ബാശാനും കർമേലും ഇലപൊഴിക്കുന്നു.
10 Now, will I arise, Saith Yahweh, Now, will I lift myself up, Now, will I be exalted!
“ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേൽക്കും,” യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ മഹത്ത്വീകരിക്കപ്പെടും; ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഉയർത്തപ്പെടും.
11 Ye shall conceive chaff Ye shall bring forth stubble, —Your own breath, like fire, shall devour you.
നിങ്ങൾ പതിർ ഗർഭംധരിച്ച് വൈക്കോൽ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ശ്വാസംതന്നെ നിങ്ങളെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയായി മാറും.
12 So shall peoples, become, as the burnings of lime, —As thorns lopped off, with fire, shall they be burned.
കുമ്മായം നീറ്റപ്പെടുന്നതുപോലെ ജനതകൾ നീറി ദഹിക്കും; വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞ മുൾപ്പടർപ്പുപോലെ അവർ തീയിടപ്പെടും.”
13 Hear—ye that are far off. what I have done, And know—ye that are near my might:
ദൂരസ്ഥരേ, ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതു കേൾക്കുക; സമീപസ്ഥരേ, എന്റെ ശക്തി അംഗീകരിക്കുക!
14 Terror-stricken in Zion, —are sinners, Shuddering hath seized the impious, —Who among us can sojourn with a fire that devoureth? Who among us can sojourn with burnings age-abiding?
സീയോനിലെ പാപികൾ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; അഭക്തർക്കു വിറയൽ ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു: “നമ്മിൽ ആർക്ക്, ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയോടൊപ്പം പാർക്കാൻ കഴിയും? നമ്മിൽ ആർക്ക് നിത്യജ്വാലയോടൊപ്പം വസിക്കാൻ കഴിയും?”
15 He that walketh righteously, And speaketh uprightly, —He that refuseth the gain of exactions That shaketh his hands free from holding a bribe, That stoppeth his ear from hearkening to deeds of blood, And shutteth his eyes from giving countenance to wrong,
നീതിയോടെ ജീവിക്കുകയും സത്യം സംസാരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ, കൊള്ളപ്പണത്തിലുള്ള നേട്ടം വെറുക്കുന്നവർ, കോഴവാങ്ങാതെ കൈകൾ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർ, രക്തപാതകത്തെപ്പറ്റി കേൾക്കുകപോലും ചെയ്യാതെ ചെവിപൊത്തുന്നവർ, ദോഷത്തെ നോക്കാതെ തന്റെ കണ്ണ് അടച്ചുകളയുന്നവർ—
16 He, the heights, shall inhabit, A stronghold of crags, shall be his refuge, —His bread, hath been delivered, His waters, have been made sure,
അവരാണ് ഉയരങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നത്, അവരുടെ അഭയസ്ഥാനം പാറയിൽ തീർത്ത കോട്ടകൾ ആയിരിക്കും. അവരുടെ അപ്പം അവർക്കു ലഭിക്കും, അവരുടെ വെള്ളം മുടങ്ങിപ്പോകുകയുമില്ല.
17 Of a king, in his beauty, shall thine eyes have vision: They shall see a land that stretcheth afar.
നിന്റെ കണ്ണ് രാജാവിനെ തന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യത്തിൽ ദർശിക്കും, വിദൂരസ്ഥമായൊരു ദേശം നീ കാണുകയും ചെയ്യും.
18 Thy heart, may murmur in terror, —Where is the scribe? Where—the receiver? Where—he that maketh a list of the towers?
“പണം എണ്ണിനോക്കിയവർ എവിടെ? കപ്പം തൂക്കിനോക്കിയവർ എവിടെ? ഗോപുരങ്ങൾക്ക് അധികാരി ആയിരുന്നവർ എവിടെ?” എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം ഭീതിവിഷയങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കും.
19 The fierce people, shalt thou not see, —The people of too deep a lip to be understood, of too barbarous a tongue for thee to comprehend.
ആരും ഗ്രഹിക്കാത്ത സംഭാഷണവും അപരിചിതവും മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ പ്രയാസമുള്ള ഭാഷയുമുള്ള ക്രൂരജനത്തെ നീ ഇനി കാണുകയില്ല.
20 Look thou on Zion, the city of our appointed feast, —Thine own eyes, shall see Jerusalem—A home of comfort A tent which shall not be packed up—Whose pins shall not be pulled out, for ever, And none of, whose cords, shall be broken.
നമ്മുടെ ഉത്സവനഗരമായ സീയോനെ നോക്കുക; നിന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ ജെറുശലേമിനെ ശാന്തനിവാസസ്ഥാനമായിക്കാണും, അതിലെ കൂടാരങ്ങൾ മാറ്റപ്പെടുകയില്ല; അതിന്റെ അതിരിലെ കുറ്റികൾ ഊരിമാറ്റപ്പെടുകയോ അതിന്റെ കയറുകൾ പൊട്ടിപ്പോകുകയോ ഇല്ല.
21 But, there shall Yahweh be our majestic one, A place of rivers—streams broad on both hands, Wherein shall go no galley with oars, Neither shall majestic ship traverse it;
അവിടെ യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ശക്തി ആയിരിക്കും. വിശാലമായ നദികളും അരുവികളുമുള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥലമായിരിക്കും അത്. തുഴകൾവെച്ച പടക്കപ്പൽ അതിലൂടെ പോകുകയില്ല; കൂറ്റൻ കപ്പലുകൾ അതിലൂടെ കടക്കുകയില്ല.
22 For, Yahweh is our judge, Yahweh, is our lawgiver, —Yahweh, is our king, He will save us!
കാരണം യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായാധിപൻ, യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ നിയമദാതാവ്, യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ രാജാവ്, അവിടന്ന് നമ്മെ രക്ഷിക്കും.
23 Loosed are thy ropes, —They cannot strengthen the socket of their mast They have not unfurled a sail Now, can be apportioned spoil, in abundance, The lame, have captured prey!
നിന്റെ കയർ അയഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്നു; അതിനു പാമരത്തെ അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്ത് ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിർത്തുന്നതിനോ പായ് നിവർത്തുന്നതിനോ കഴിവില്ല. അന്ന് പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത സമൃദ്ധമായ കൊള്ള പങ്കുവെക്കപ്പെടും, മുടന്തർപോലും അവരുടെ കൊള്ളമുതൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകും.
24 Neither shall the inhabitant say. I am sick, —the people who dwell therein, have been forgiven iniquity.
അവിടത്തെ നിവാസികളാരും “ഞാൻ രോഗി,” എന്നു പറയുകയില്ല; അവിടെ വസിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിന് തങ്ങളുടെ പാപമെല്ലാം ക്ഷമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.
