Isaiah 32
1 Lo! in righteousness, shall reign a king, Yea even princes, with equity, shall bear rule.
Tazama, mfalme atatawala kwa uadilifu na watawala watatawala kwa haki.
2 So shall each one become As a hiding-place from the wind And a covert from the storm, —As channels of water in a dry place, As the shadow of a massive cliff in a weary land.
Kila mtu atakuwa kama kivuli cha kujificha kutokana na upepo na kimbilio kutokana na dhoruba, kama vijito vya maji jangwani na kivuli cha mwamba mkubwa katika ardhi yenye kiu.
3 And the eyes of them who are ready to see, shall not be closed, —And, the ears of them who are ready to hear, shall hearken;
Ndipo macho ya wale wanaoona hayatafumbwa tena, nayo masikio ya wale wanaosikia yatasikiliza.
4 And the heart of the hurried, shall take note of knowledge, And the tongue of stammerers, shall make haste to speak plainly.
Moyo wa mtu mwenye hamaki utafahamu na kuelewa, nao ulimi wenye kigugumizi utanena kwa ufasaha.
5 A base man, shall no longer be called, noble, —Nor, a knave, be named, liberal;
Mpumbavu hataitwa tena muungwana, wala mtu mbaya kabisa kupewa heshima ya juu.
6 For, a base man, with baseness, will speak, And, his heart, will practise iniquity, —Practising profanity, And speaking, against Yahweh that which misleadeth, Emptying the soul of the hungry, And the drink of the thirsty, he causeth to fail;
Kwa kuwa mpumbavu hunena upumbavu, moyo wake hushughulika na uovu: Hutenda mambo yasiyo ya kumcha Mungu, na hueneza habari za makosa kuhusu Bwana; yeye huwaacha wenye njaa bila kitu, na wenye kiu huwanyima maji.
7 Yea, a knave, his weapons are wicked, —He, base schemes, hath devised To ruin the oppressed with speeches of falsehood Even when the needy pleadeth, for justice.
Taratibu za mtu mbaya kabisa ni ovu, hufanya mipango miovu ili kumwangamiza maskini kwa uongo, hata wakati ambapo hoja za mhitaji ni za haki.
8 But, a noble man, noble things, hath devised, —And, he, upon noble things, will stand,
Lakini mtu muungwana hufanya mipango ya kiungwana, na kwa matendo ya kiungwana yeye hufanikiwa.
9 Ye women in comfort! arise hear my voice, Ye daughters so confident give ear to my speech: —
Enyi wanawake wenye kuridhika sana, amkeni na mnisikilize. Enyi binti mnaojisikia kuwa salama, sikieni lile ninalotaka kuwaambia!
10 Some days beyond a year, ye shall be troubled ye confident ones, —For failed hath the vintage, No, gathering, cometh in.
Muda zaidi kidogo ya mwaka mmoja, ninyi mnaojisikia salama mtatetemeka, mavuno ya zabibu yatakoma na mavuno ya matunda hayatakuwepo.
11 Tremble, ye women in comfort, Be troubled ye daughters so confident, —Strip! and bare yourselves, and gird somewhat on your loins:
Tetemekeni, enyi wanawake wenye kuridhika, tetemekeni kwa hofu, enyi binti mnaojisikia salama! Vueni nguo zenu, vaeni nguo ya gunia viunoni mwenu.
12 Upon your breasts, continue smiting: For desirable fields, For fruitful vine.
Pigeni matiti yenu kwa ajili ya mashamba mazuri, kwa ajili ya mizabibu iliyozaa vizuri
13 Over the soil of my people, thorns and briars shall grow, —Yea over all houses of joy, thou city exultant!
na kwa ajili ya nchi ya watu wangu, nchi ambayo miiba na michongoma imemea: naam, ombolezeni kwa ajili ya nyumba zote za furaha na kwa ajili ya mji huu wenye kufanya sherehe.
14 For the palace, is abandoned, the tumult of the city, hath ceased—Hill and watch-tower, serve as caves, unto times age-abiding, The joy of wild-asses, The pasture of flocks: —
Ngome itaachwa, mji wenye kelele nyingi utahamwa, ngome ndani ya mji na mnara wa ulinzi vitakuwa ukiwa milele, mahali pazuri pa punda na malisho ya makundi ya kondoo,
15 Until there be poured out upon us the spirit, from on high, —Then shall the wilderness become, garden-land, And the garden-land, for a forest, be reckoned;
mpaka Roho amwagwe juu yetu kutoka juu, nalo jangwa kuwa shamba lenye rutuba, na shamba lenye rutuba kuwa kama msitu.
16 Then shall, justice inhabit, the wilderness, And righteousness, in the garden-land, shall abide;
Haki itakaa katika jangwa, na uadilifu utakaa katika shamba lenye rutuba.
17 And the yield of righteousness, shall be, peace, —And the tillage of righteousness, quietness, and confidence! to times age-abiding;
Matunda ya haki yatakuwa amani, matokeo ya haki yatakuwa utulivu na matumaini milele.
18 And my people shall dwell, In a borne of peace, —and In habitations of security, and In resting-places of comfort.
Watu wangu wataishi katika makao ya mahali pa amani, katika nyumba zilizo salama, katika mahali pa kupumzika pasipo na usumbufu.
19 But it shall hail during the felling of the forest, And in a sunken place, shall, the city, sink.
Hata kama mvua ya mawe iangushe msitu na mji ubomolewe kabisa,
20 How happy are ye who sow beside all waters, —Who send forth the foot of the ox and the ass.
tazama jinsi utakavyobarikiwa, ukipanda mbegu yako katika kila kijito, na kuwaacha ngʼombe wako na punda wajilishe kwa uhuru.
