Isaiah 3

1 For lo! the Lord, Yahweh of hosts, removing from Jerusalem and from Judah, The stay and staff, —The whole stay of bread, And the whole stay of water:

۱ زیرا اینک خداوند یهوه صبایوت پایه ورکن را از اورشلیم و یهودا، یعنی تمامی پایه نان و تمامی پایه آب را دور خواهد کرد،

2 Man of might and man of war, —Judge and prophet And diviner and elder;

۲ وشجاعان و مردان جنگی و داوران و انبیا وفالگیران و مشایخ را،

3 Captain of fifty, and favourite; And counsellor and skilled artificer, And master of magical formulas;

۳ و سرداران پنجاهه وشریفان و مشیران و صنعت گران ماهر و ساحران حاذق را.

4 And I will appoint boys to be their princes, —And, petulant children, shall rule over them,

۴ و اطفال را بر ایشان حاکم خواهم ساخت و کودکان بر ایشان حکمرانی خواهندنمود.

5 And the people will, tyrannise, Every man over his fellow-man, And every man over his friend, —And they will rage The boy against, the elder, And the despised, against, the honourable,

۵ و قوم مظلوم خواهند شد، هرکس ازدست دیگری و هرشخص از همسایه خویش. واطفال بر پیران و پستان بر شریفان تمرد خواهندنمود.

6 When a man shall lay hold, on his brother of the house of his father, [saying] —Clothing, hast thou, Become thou our, ruler, This downfall, be under thy hand,

۶ چون شخصی به برادر خویش در خانه پدرش متمسک شده، بگوید: «تو را رخوت هست پس حاکم ما شو و این خرابی در زیر دست تو باشد»،

7 He will swear, in that day, saying—I will take no control, When in mine own house, is neither food nor clothing, —Ye must not set me for a ruler of people!

۷ در آن روز او آواز خود را بلند کرده، خواهد گفت: «من علاج کننده نتوانم شد زیرا درخانه من نه نان و نه لباس است پس مرا حاکم قوم مسازید.»

8 For stumbled hath Jerusalem, and, Judah, hath fallen, —Because, their tongue and their doings, are against Yahweh, Provoking his glorious presence,

۸ زیرا اورشلیم خراب شده و یهودامنهدم گشته است، از آن جهت که لسان و افعال ایشان به ضد خداوند می‌باشد تا چشمان جلال اورا به ننگ‌آورند.

9 The show of their face, hath answered against them, And their sin—like Sodom, have they told, they have not concealed it. Alas for their souls! For they have requited to themselves, calamity.

۹ سیمای رویهای ایشان به ضدایشان شاهد است و مثل سدوم گناهان خود رافاش کرده، آنها را مخفی نمی دارند. وای برجانهای ایشان زیرا که به جهت خویشتن شرارت را بعمل آورده‌اند.

10 Say ye to the righteous It is well! For the fruit of their doings, shall they eat:

۱۰ عادلان را بگویید که ایشان را سعادتمندی خواهد بود زیرا از ثمره اعمال خویش خواهند خورد.

11 Alas! for the lawless, it is ill, For what his own hand hath matured, shall be done to him.

۱۱ وای بر شریران که ایشان را بدی خواهد بود چونکه مکافات دست ایشان به ایشان کرده خواهد شد.

12 My people! children, are their tyrants, And, women, rule over them, —My people! they who should lead thee forward, are causing thee to stray, Thy pathways, have they destroyed,

۱۲ و اما قوم من، کودکان بر ایشان ظلم می‌کنند و زنان بر ایشان حکمرانی می‌نمایند. ای قوم من، راهنمایان شماگمراه کنندگانند و طریق راههای شما را خراب می‌کنند.

13 Yahweh hath taken his station to plead, —And is standing to judge peoples:

۱۳ خداوند برای محاجه برخاسته و به جهت داوری قومها ایستاده است.

14 Yahweh, into judgment, will enter, With the elders of his people And their princes, —But ye, have consumed the vineyard, That which hath been robbed from the oppressed, is in your houses.

۱۴ خداوند بامشایخ قوم خود و سروران ایشان به محاکمه درخواهد آمد، زیرا شما هستید که تاکستانها راخورده‌اید و غارت فقیران در خانه های شمااست.

15 What right have ye to crush my people, And the faces of the oppressed, to grind? Demandeth My Lord Yahweh of hosts—And Yahweh saith—

۱۵ خداوند یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: «شمارا چه شده است که قوم مرا می‌کوبید و رویهای فقیران را خرد می‌نمایید؟»

16 Because haughty are the daughters of Zion, And they walk with neck thrown back, and wanton eyes, —Tripping along as they go, And with their feet, making, a tinkling sound,

۱۶ و خداوند می‌گوید: «از این جهت که دختران صهیون متکبرند و با گردن افراشته وغمزات چشم راه می‌روند و به ناز می‌خرامند و به پایهای خویش خلخالها را به صدا می‌آورند.»

17 Therefore will My Lord, smite with leprosy the crown of hair of the daughters of Zion, —And, as for Yahweh, their shame, will he lay bare!

۱۷ بنابراین خداوند فرق سر دختران صهیون را کل خواهد ساخت و خداوند عورت ایشان را برهنه خواهد نمود.

18 In that day, will My Lord remove the finery—of the anklets, and the little suns and the little moons;

۱۸ و در آن روز خداوند زینت خلخالها و پیشانی بندها و هلالها را دور خواهدکرد.

19 the pendants and the bracelets and the veils;

۱۹ و گوشواره‌ها و دستبندها و روبندها را،

20 the chaplets and the armlets and the girdles, and the scent-cases, and the amulets;

۲۰ و دستارها و زنجیرها و کمربندها و عطردانها وتعویذها را،

21 the rings and the nose-jewels;

۲۱ و انگشترها و حلقه های بینی را،

22 the robes, and the over-tunics, and the cloaks and the purses;

۲۲ و رخوت نفیسه و رداها و شالها و کیسه‌ها را،

23 and the mirrors and the linen wraps, and the tiaras and the cloaks.

۲۳ و آینه‌ها و کتان نازک و عمامه‌ها و برقع‌ها را.

24 And it shall come to pass—That instead of fragrance, a putrid odour, shall be, And instead of a girdle, an encircling rope, And instead of braided hair, baldness, And instead of a festal robe, a girding of sackcloth, Branding instead of beauty:

۲۴ و واقع می‌شود که به عوض عطریات، عفونت خواهد شد و به عوض کمربند، ریسمان و به عوض مویهای بافته، کلی و به عوض سینه بند، زنار پلاس و به عوض زیبایی، سوختگی خواهدبود.

25 Thy males, by the sword shall fall, —And, thy mighty men, by the war;

۲۵ مردانت به شمشیر و شجاعانت در جنگ خواهند افتاد.

26 And her gates shall mourn and lament, —And forsaken, on the ground, shall she sit.

۲۶ و دروازه های وی ناله و ماتم خواهند کرد، و او خراب شده، بر زمین خواهدنشست.
