Isaiah 27
1 In that day, will Yahweh With his sword—the hard and the great and the strong, Bring punishment Upon Leviathan, the fleeing serpent, And upon Leviathan, the crooked serpent, —And will slay the monster which is in the sea.
Bara sana, Waaqayyo goraadee isaatiin, goraadee isaa sodaachisaa, guddaa fi jabaa sanaan, Lewaataan boficha mirmirfamu, Lewaataan boficha marmaramu sana ni adaba; inni jawwee galaana keessa jiraatu ni kukkuta.
2 In that day, A Wine-Vineyard! sing ye unto her:
Bara sana akkana jedhama; “Waaʼee iddoo dhaabaa wayinii kan namatti tolu sanaa faarfadhaa;
3 I—Yahweh, am Watching over her, Every moment, will I water her, —Lest anyone injure her, Night and day, will I watch over her.
ani Waaqayyo isa nan eega; ani yeroo hunda bishaan nan obaasa; akka namni tokko iyyuu isa hin miineef ani halkanii fi guyyaa isa nan eega.
4 Fury, have I none, —Oh that there were delivered to me briars and thorns, in battle! I would march in among them I would set fire to them one and all.
Ani hin aaru. Sokorruu fi qoraattiin waraanaaf utuu natti baʼanii! Ani silaa isaanitti nan duula; walitti qabees isaan nan guba.
5 Else, let one lay hold of my protection, Let him make peace with me, —Peace, let him make with me.
Yoo kanaa achii isaan kooluu natti haa galan; isaan na wajjin nagaa haa uuman; eeyyee, isaan na wajjin nagaa haa uuman.”
6 In coming times, shall Jacob strike root, Israel, shall blossom and bud, —Then shall they fill the face of the world with fruit.
Bara dhufuuf jiru keessa Yaaqoob hidda baasa; Israaʼel latee daraara; ijaanis addunyaa hunda guuta.
7 Was it, with the smiting of his smiter, that he smote him? Or as with the slaying of his slayer, was he slain?
Waaqayyo akkuma warra ishee rukutan sana rukute, ishee illee rukuteeraa? Akkuma warri ishee ajjeesan sun ajjeefaman, isheenis ajjeefamteertii?
8 By driving her away—by dismissing her, wouldest thou contend with her? He removed her by his rough wind in, a day of east wind.
Ati waraanuu fi ariʼuudhaan isheedhaan wal falmite; inni guyyaa bubbeen baʼaa bubbisutti, bubbee isaa sodaachisaa sanaan ishee balleessa.
9 Therefore hereby, shall a propitiatory—covering be put over the iniquity of Jacob, And all, this, is the fruit of taking away his sin, —When he maketh all the stones of an altar like chalk-stones that soon crumble, Sacred Stems and Sun Images, shall not arise.
Yommuu inni dhagoota iddoo aarsaa hunda akkuma dhagaa nooraa caccabsamee godhutti, siidaan asheeraa yookaan iddoon aarsaa ixaanaa tokko iyyuu dhaabatee hin hafu. Akkasiinis balleessaan Yaaqoob ni haqamaaf; kunis cubbuun isaa guutumaan guutuutti haqamuu isaa mirkaneessa.
10 For the fortified city, is solitary, The dwelling forsaken and left as a wilderness, —There, shall the calf feed, And, there, lie down And shall consume the branches thereof:
Magaalaan dallaa jabaa qabdu ni onti; akka gammoojjii gatamteetii fi dhiifamtee taati; jabboonni achi dheeddi; achis ni ciciifti; jabboonni damee ishee qorqanii qullaa hambisu.
11 When the cut-off boughs thereof are dry, they shall be broken to pieces, Women, coming, are kindling it! For it is not a people of understanding, For this cause, Will he that made him, not have compassion upon him, And, he that formed him, will shew him no favour.
Dameen ishee yeroo gogutti irraa caccaba; dubartoonnis dhufanii ibiddatti naqatu. Uummanni kun hubannaa hin qabuutii; kanaafuu Tolchaan isaanii garaa hin laafuuf; Uumaan isaaniis isaaniif hin araaramu.
12 And it shall come to pass, in that day, That Yahweh will beat off his fruit from the stream of the River ["Euphrates"], unto the torrent-valley of Egypt, —And, ye, shall be picked up, one by one O sons of Israel.
Bara sana Waaqayyo Laga Efraaxiisii hamma laga Gibxitti midhaan dhaʼa; yaa Israaʼeloota, isin tokko tokkoon walitti ni qabamtu.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, That there shall be a blowing with a great horn, Then shall come in Such as have wandered in the land of Assyria, And such as have been outcasts in the land of Egypt, —And they shall bow themselves down unto Yahweh In the holy mountain, In Jerusalem.
Bara sana malakanni guddaan tokko ni afuufama. Warri Asoor keessatti badanii turanii fi warri Gibxi keessatti faffacaʼanii turan dhufanii tulluu qulqulluu irratti Yerusaalem keessatti Waaqayyoon waaqeffatu.
