< Isaiah 27 >
1 In that day, will Yahweh With his sword—the hard and the great and the strong, Bring punishment Upon Leviathan, the fleeing serpent, And upon Leviathan, the crooked serpent, —And will slay the monster which is in the sea.
Nan jou sa a, SENYÈ a va pini Leviathan ak gwo nepe a byen di. Leviathan, sèpan tòde a, kap pran flit; li va touye dragon an ki rete nan lanmè a.
2 In that day, A Wine-Vineyard! sing ye unto her:
Nan jou sa a, chante pou li”Yon bèl chan rezen!
3 I—Yahweh, am Watching over her, Every moment, will I water her, —Lest anyone injure her, Night and day, will I watch over her.
Mwen, SENYÈ a, se jeran li. Mwen wouze li tout tan. Pou pèsòn pa fè l donmaj, Mwen veye li lajounen kon lannwit.
4 Fury, have I none, —Oh that there were delivered to me briars and thorns, in battle! I would march in among them I would set fire to them one and all.
Mwen pa moun lakòlè. Men si Mwen ta jwenn raje ak pikan yo, Mwen ta fè batay! Mwen ta mache sou yo, e brile yo nèt.
5 Else, let one lay hold of my protection, Let him make peace with me, —Peace, let him make with me.
Oswa, kite li depann de fòs Mwen pou l ka fè lapè avè M. Kite li fè lapè avè M.”
6 In coming times, shall Jacob strike root, Israel, shall blossom and bud, —Then shall they fill the face of the world with fruit.
Nan jou k ap vini yo, Jacob va pran rasin. Israël va fleri e boujonnen. Yo va plen tout mond lan ak fwi.
7 Was it, with the smiting of his smiter, that he smote him? Or as with the slaying of his slayer, was he slain?
Èske Li te frape yo, jan li te frape sa yo ki frape yo? Oswa èske se tankou masak Sila ki touye yo a, Li te touye yo?
8 By driving her away—by dismissing her, wouldest thou contend with her? He removed her by his rough wind in, a day of east wind.
Ou te konfwonte yo ak egzil; ou te pouse yo ale. Ak souf fewòs Li, Li te chase yo ale nan jou van lès la.
9 Therefore hereby, shall a propitiatory—covering be put over the iniquity of Jacob, And all, this, is the fruit of taking away his sin, —When he maketh all the stones of an altar like chalk-stones that soon crumble, Sacred Stems and Sun Images, shall not arise.
10 For the fortified city, is solitary, The dwelling forsaken and left as a wilderness, —There, shall the calf feed, And, there, lie down And shall consume the branches thereof:
Paske vil fòtifye a vin sèl, yon anplasman kay ki dezole e ki vin bliye tankou dezè. Jenn bèf la va manje la, li va kouche e manje sou branch li yo.
11 When the cut-off boughs thereof are dry, they shall be broken to pieces, Women, coming, are kindling it! For it is not a people of understanding, For this cause, Will he that made him, not have compassion upon him, And, he that formed him, will shew him no favour.
Lè branch li yo vin sèch, yo vin kase yo. Fanm yo va vini pou fè dife avèk yo, paske se yon pèp san konprann. Akoz sa Kreyatè yo a p ap fè konpasyon sou yo. Li ki te fòme yo a p ap bay yo gras.
12 And it shall come to pass, in that day, That Yahweh will beat off his fruit from the stream of the River ["Euphrates"], unto the torrent-valley of Egypt, —And, ye, shall be picked up, one by one O sons of Israel.
Nan jou sa a, SENYÈ a va kòmanse bat gwo rekòlt Li depi nan flèv Rivyè Euphrate la jis rive nan dlo Égypte la, e nou va vin ranmase youn pa youn, O fis Israël yo.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, That there shall be a blowing with a great horn, Then shall come in Such as have wandered in the land of Assyria, And such as have been outcasts in the land of Egypt, —And they shall bow themselves down unto Yahweh In the holy mountain, In Jerusalem.
Anplis, li va vin rive ke nan jou ke gran twonpèt la ap sone a, sila ki t ap peri nan peyi Assyrie yo, e ki te gaye an Égypte yo, va vin adore SENYÈ a nan mòn sen Jérusalem nan.
