< Isaiah 24 >

1 Lo! Yahweh emptying the earth and laying it waste, —And he will overturn the face thereof, And scatter them who dwell therein.
Khenhaw! BAWIPA ni talai hah peng raphoe vaiteh, tami kingkadi lah awm sak vaiteh, talai detpakhup vaiteh, hawvah kaawm e naw hai koung a kâkayei sak han.
2 And it shall be—As the people, so, the priest, As the servant, so his lord, As the maid, so, her mistress, —As the buyer, so, the seller, As the lender, so, the borrower, As the debtor, so! his creditor.
Hattoteh taminaw koe kaawm e patetlah vaihma koe ao van han. San koe kaawm e patetlah a bawi koehai ao van han. Ka ran e koe kaawm e patetlah kâyawt e koehai ao han. Lai ka ba e koe kaawm e patetlah lai a ba pouh e koehai ao han. Apung ka poe e koe kaawm e patetlah apung kacate koehai ao han.
3 Emptied—emptied—shall be the earth yea pillaged—pillaged, —For, Yahweh, hath spoken this word.
BAWIPA ni a dei dawkvah, talai teh hrawnghrang lah ao teh, lawp e lah ao han.
4 Mourneth, fadeth, the earth Languisheth, fadeth, the world, —Languished have the lofty of the people of the earth.
Talai teh a cingou laihoi a kamyai. Talaivan hai a tha ayoun teh a kamyai. Talai tami kalentoenaw hai a tha ayoun awh.
5 Yea the earth itself is profaned under them who dwell therein, —For they have Set aside laws, Gone beyond statute, Broken an age-abiding covenant.
Talai teh, ama dawk kaawm e taminaw e kâtapoenae, kâlawk ngaihoehnae, a yungyoe lawkkam tapoenae dawkvah, a khin toe.
6 For this cause, a curse, hath devoured the earth, And punished are the dwellers therein, —For this cause, are burned the inhabitants of the earth, And the men left remaining—are few.
Hatdawkvah, hete thoebonae ni talai a payawp toe. Talai dawk kaawmnaw koe yon teh a pha toe. Hatdawkvah, talai dawk kaawm e naw teh, a kak awh teh, hoehoe a youn awh.
7 Mourneth the new wine. Withereth the vine, —Sighing are all the merryhearted:
Misurtui a katha e teh a cingou. Misurkung hai a kamyai toe. Konawmnae hoi kaawm e pueng ni a cingou awh.
8 Ceased hath the mirth of timbrels, Ended is the noise of the uproarious, —Ceased hath the mirth of the lyre:
Tâbaw hoi panuiparing lawk hai kingdi toe.
9 With a song, they drink not wine, —Bitter is strong drink, to them who drink it:
La sak laihoi misurtui neinae awm hoeh toe. Yamu teh kanetnaw hanelah a kha pouh toe.
10 Broken down is the city of desolation, —Shut up every house that it cannot be entered.
Paringparang lah kaawm e khopui teh a rawk toe. Apihai a kâen hoeh nahanelah im pueng teh khan lah ao.
11 There is an outcry concerning wine in the streets, —Darkened is all joy, Departed the gladness of the earth.
Misurtui a takang toung dawkvah, lamnaw dawk a cingou awh. Lunghawinae kaawm e pueng teh kingdi toe. Talai lunghawinae teh pâlei lah ao toe.
12 There is left in the city. desolation, —And to ruins, have been broken the gate.
Kho thung teh, kingdinae doeh kaawm toe. Kho longkha teh, peng raphoe lah ao.
13 When, thus, it shall be in the earth in the midst of the peoples, [There shall be] like the shaking of an olive-tree, like the going round to pick when closed is the harvest.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, talai lungui, ramnaw thung dawkvah, olivekung kahuet toteh kaawm e patetlah thoseh, misurpaw khi toteh a paw racawng e patetlah thoseh ao han.
14 They, shall lift up their voice—shall raise a tremulous note, —On account of the splendour of Yahweh, have they made a shrill cry, on the West;
A lawk hoe a cai sak awh teh, lunghawi laihoi la a sak awh. Kanîloumlah kaawm e naw ni BAWIPA taluenae teh a dei awh han.
15 For this cause, In the Regions of Light, give ye glory to Yahweh, —In the Coastlands of the Sea, unto the Name of Yahweh. God of Israel,
Hatdawkvah, kanîtholah kaawmnaw ni BAWIPA lentoenae a poe awh han. Talai poutnae koe, tupui rai kaawm e naw ni, Isarelnaw e Jehovah Cathut teh lentoenae a poe awh han.
16 From the uttermost part of the earth, melodies, have we heard—Beauty, to the righteous one! But I had said—Ruin to me! Ruin to me! Woe to me! Traitors, have betrayed, Yea traitorously, have traitors betrayed!

17 Terror and pit and snare, —are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth!
Oe talai taminaw, taki ka tho e hoi tangkom hoi karap naw ni sut na pawp awh.
18 So shall it be—He that fleeth from the sound of the terror! shall fall into the pit, And, he that getteth up out of the midst of the pit, shall be captured in the snare, —For, the windows on high, have opened, And shaken are the foundations of earth.
Taki ka tho e pawlawk dawk kayawngnaw teh tangkom thung a bo awh han. Tangkom thung hoi bout katâcawtnaw teh tangkam dawk a kâman awh han. Kalvan longkhanaw paawng teh, talai dunaw hai a kâhuet han.
19 The earth breaketh, breaketh, —The earth crasheth, crasheth, The earth tottereth, tottereth;
Talaipui teh khoeroe a kâbawng toe. Talaipui teh khoeroe a tip teh a rawk toe. Talaipui teh khoeroe a kâhuet toe.
20 The earth staggereth—staggereth like a drunken man, And rocketh to and fro like a night-hut, —So shall be heavy upon her, her transgression, And she shall fall and not again rise.
Talaipui teh yamuhri patetlah dandan a rawp teh, loungkanghawi patetlah a kâhuet toe. A payonnae yon teh amae lathueng a ri poung dawkvah, a rawp han. Bout thaw thai mahoeh toe.
21 And it shall be in that day, That Yahweh will bring punishment Upon the host of the height in the height, —And upon the kings of the ground on the ground.
Hote hnin dawkvah, BAWIPA ni kalvan vah, ransabawinaw thoseh, talai van vah talai siangpahrangnaw thoseh, lawk a ceng han.
22 And they shall be swept together in a crowd, fettered for a pit, And shall be lowered into a dungeon, —And, after many days, shall they be punished.

23 Then shall blush the silvery moon, Then turn pale the glowing sun, —Because Yahweh of hosts hath become king In Mount Zion And in Jerusalem, And before his Elders in glory,
Hathnukkhu thapa teh a minhmai mathout vaiteh, kanî hai yeirai a po han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kalvan ransabawi ni Zion mon Jerusalem vah siangpahrang lah awm vaiteh, amae kacuenaw hmalah, a lentoe han.
