< Isaiah 2 >
1 That which Isaiah, son of Amoz saw in vision, —concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
Ty tsara nioni’ Iesaia ana’ i Amotse ty am’ Iehodà naho Ierosalaime:
2 But it shall come to pass, in the afterpart of the days, That the mountain of the house of Yahweh Shall be, set up, as the head of the mountains, And be exalted above the hills, —And all the nations, shall stream thereunto;
Ho tondrok’ amo andro honka’eo te haoreñe ankaboa’ o vohitseo ty vohin-anjomba’ Iehovà, honjoneñe ambone’ o haboañeo; vaho hikovovoke mb’ama’e mb’eo ze kilakila ondaty.
3 And many peoples shall go and say—Come ye, and let us ascend Unto the mountain of Yahweh Unto the house of the God of Jacob, That he may teach us of his ways, And we may walk in his paths, —For, out of Zion, shall go forth a law, And the word of Yahweh out of Jerusalem;
Maro ty rofòko homb’eo hanao ty hoe: Antao, hionjoñe mb’ambohi’ Iehovà, mb’añ’anjomban’Añahare’ Iakobe; hañòha’e antika o lala’eo, hañaveloan-tika o oloñolo’eo; amy te hionjoñe boake Tsione ao ty Hàke, naho boak’ Ierosalaime ao ty tsara’Iehovà.
4 And he will judge between the nations, And be umpire to many peoples, —And they will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning-hooks, Nation—against nation, shall not lift up sword, Neither shall they learn any more to make war,
Ie ty hizaka añivo’ o kilakila’ ndatio, naho hifandahatse ami’ty maro; le ho pehe’ iareo ho lelan-dasarý o fibara’ iareoo naho ho fibira miporengotse, o lefo’ iareoo; tsy hifañonjom-pibara ami’ty fifeheañe ty fifeheañe vaho tsy hioke hialy ka.
5 O house of Jacob! come ye and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.
O ry anjomba’ Iakobeo, mb’etoy, hañaveloan-tika ami’ty fireandrea’ Iehovà.
6 Therefore hast thou abandoned thy people the house of Jacob, Because they have become full of the East, And use hidden arts like the Philistines, —And with the children of foreigners, strike hands; —
Fa naforintse’ ondati’oo i anjomba’ Iakobey fa àtsake ty sata’ o tatiñanañeo iereo, naho o mpisikily manahake o nte-Pilistioo, vaho mifañoho-pitàñe amo anan’ambahinio.
7 So that filled is their land with silver and gold, And there is no end to their treasures, —And filled is their land with horses, And there is no end to their chariots;
Pea volafoty naho volamena ty tane’ iareo; tsifotofoto ty vara’e, tsitsike soavala ka ty tane’ iareo, tsy vatse iaheñe o sarete’eo;
8 And filled is their land with idols, —To the work of their own hands, do they bow themselves down, To that which they made with their own fingers.
Lifo-tsamposampo ka ty tane’ iareo; italahoa’iareo o satam-pità’ iareoo, o fitolon-drambom-pità’eo.
9 So the mean man boweth down And the great man stoopeth low, —Therefore do not thou forgive them!
Nafotsake ty fokonontsoa, narèke ondatio; aa le ko ihevea’o.
10 Enter into the rock, Or hide thee in the dust, —Because of the terribleness of Yahweh, And for his majestic splendour.
Mimoaha am-bato ao, mietaha an-debok’ ao, am-pirevendreveñañe am’Iehovà, naho ami’ty enge’ i volonahe’ey.
11 The lofty looks of mean men, shall be humbled, And, the haughtiness of great men, shall be bowed down, —And Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.
Hareke ty fiebotsebo’ ondatio, havokok’ ambane ty fibohabohà’ondatio, Iehovà avao ro honjoneñe amy andro zay.
12 For, a day of Yahweh of hosts, [shall be] —Upon every one who is high and lofty, —And upon every one who is lifted up, And he shall be brought low;
Fa manañ’andro amo mpirengevokeo naho amo mpitahebokeo t’Iehovà’ i Màroy naho amy ze hene mitoabotse; fa songa harèke;
13 And upon all cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, —And upon all the oaks of Bashan;
naho amo mendorave’ i Lebanone iabio, o miligiligy amboneo, naho amo kile’ i Basane iabio,
14 And upon all the lofty mountains, —And upon all the uplifted hills;
naho amo vohitse abo iabio, naho amy ze hene haboañe mionjoñe,
15 And upon every high tower, —And upon every fortress wall;
Naho amo tilik’abo iabio, naho amo fahetse matahetseo,
16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, —And upon all desirable banners.
Naho amo hene sambo’ i Tarsiseo, vaho amo sare mahafalefaleo.
17 And the haughtiness of mean men, shall be humbled, —And the loftiness of great men, shall be laid low, —And Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.
Habotreke ty fitoabora’ ondaty, le haketrake ty fitrotroabora’ondatio; Iehovà avao ty honjoneñe amy andro zay.
18 And, the idols, shall wholly pass away;
Vata’e hasiots’añe o hazomangao.
19 And they shall enter into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of clay, —Because of the terribleness of Yahweh, And for his majestic splendour, When he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
Himoak’ an-davan-damilamy ao ondatio, naho an-dakato an-tane ao, ami’ty fañeveñañe am’ Iehovà, naho ami’ty engem-bolonahe’e, ie hiongake hañozoñozoñe ty tane toy.
20 In that day shall the son of earth cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, —which had been made for him to worship, into the hole of the mice, and to the bats;
Amy andro zay, le haria’ ondatio amo sorao naho amo kananavio o hazomanga volafoty naho o hazomanga volamena nitsenè’ iareo ho fitalahoañeo.
21 That he may enter into the clefts of the rocks, and into the fissures of the crags, —Because of the terribleness of Yahweh, And for his majestic splendour, When he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
Hitsifira’e an-tseram-bato ao, naho am-bato tringitringieñe ao, amy fihondrahondra’e am’ Iehovày, naho amy engem-bolonahe’ey, ie miongake hañozoñozoñe ty tane toy.
22 Cease ye from the son of earth, In whose nostrils is but a breath, —For wherein to be reckoned upon, is he?
Ko iatoa’o ondatio, o mikofòk’ an-doak’oro’eo: fa ho volilien-ko inon-dre?
