Isaiah 2
1 That which Isaiah, son of Amoz saw in vision, —concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
Afero, kiun Jesaja, filo de Amoc, vidis vizie pri Judujo kaj Jerusalem.
2 But it shall come to pass, in the afterpart of the days, That the mountain of the house of Yahweh Shall be, set up, as the head of the mountains, And be exalted above the hills, —And all the nations, shall stream thereunto;
Iam en la tempo estonta la monto de la domo de la Eternulo staros kiel ĉefo inter la montoj, kaj ĝi estos pli alta ol ĉiuj altaĵoj; kaj fluos al ĝi ĉiuj nacioj.
3 And many peoples shall go and say—Come ye, and let us ascend Unto the mountain of Yahweh Unto the house of the God of Jacob, That he may teach us of his ways, And we may walk in his paths, —For, out of Zion, shall go forth a law, And the word of Yahweh out of Jerusalem;
Kaj iros multaj popoloj, kaj diros: Venu, ni iru supren sur la monton de la Eternulo, al la domo de la Dio de Jakob, por ke Li instruu nin pri Siaj vojoj, kaj ni iru laŭ Lia irejo; ĉar el Cion eliros la instruo, kaj la vorto de la Eternulo el Jerusalem.
4 And he will judge between the nations, And be umpire to many peoples, —And they will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning-hooks, Nation—against nation, shall not lift up sword, Neither shall they learn any more to make war,
Kaj Li juĝos inter la nacioj, kaj Li decidos pri multaj popoloj; kaj ili forĝos el siaj glavoj plugilojn kaj el siaj lancoj rikoltilojn; ne levos nacio glavon kontraŭ nacion, kaj oni ne plu lernos militon.
5 O house of Jacob! come ye and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.
Ho domo de Jakob, venu, kaj ni iru en la lumo de la Eternulo.
6 Therefore hast thou abandoned thy people the house of Jacob, Because they have become full of the East, And use hidden arts like the Philistines, —And with the children of foreigners, strike hands; —
Sed Vi forlasis Vian popolon, la domon de Jakob, ĉar ili pli pleniĝis ol antaŭe kaj ili sorĉas kiel la Filiŝtoj kaj aliĝis al infanoj de aligentuloj.
7 So that filled is their land with silver and gold, And there is no end to their treasures, —And filled is their land with horses, And there is no end to their chariots;
Kaj ilia lando pleniĝis de arĝento kaj oro, kaj senfinaj estas iliaj trezoroj; kaj ilia lando pleniĝis de ĉevaloj, kaj sennombraj estas iliaj ĉaroj.
8 And filled is their land with idols, —To the work of their own hands, do they bow themselves down, To that which they made with their own fingers.
Kaj ilia lando pleniĝis de idoloj; ili adorkliniĝas al la faritaĵo de siaj manoj, al tio, kion faris iliaj fingroj.
9 So the mean man boweth down And the great man stoopeth low, —Therefore do not thou forgive them!
Kaj kliniĝis la homo, kaj malaltiĝis la viro; kaj Vi ne pardonos ilin.
10 Enter into the rock, Or hide thee in the dust, —Because of the terribleness of Yahweh, And for his majestic splendour.
Eniru en rokon kaj kaŝu vin en la tero, pro timo antaŭ la Eternulo kaj antaŭ la majesto de Lia grandeco.
11 The lofty looks of mean men, shall be humbled, And, the haughtiness of great men, shall be bowed down, —And Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.
La fieraj okuloj de homo malleviĝos, kaj la altaj homoj estos malaltigitaj; nur la Eternulo sola estos alta en tiu tago.
12 For, a day of Yahweh of hosts, [shall be] —Upon every one who is high and lofty, —And upon every one who is lifted up, And he shall be brought low;
Ĉar la tago de la Eternulo Cebaot estos super ĉio malhumila kaj alta kaj super ĉio aroganta, kiu estos malaltigita;
13 And upon all cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, —And upon all the oaks of Bashan;
kaj super ĉiuj cedroj de Lebanon, la altaj kaj malhumilaj, kaj super ĉiuj kverkoj de Baŝan;
14 And upon all the lofty mountains, —And upon all the uplifted hills;
kaj super ĉiuj altaj montoj, kaj super ĉiuj leviĝintaj montetoj;
15 And upon every high tower, —And upon every fortress wall;
kaj super ĉiu alta turo, kaj super ĉiu fortikigita muro;
16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, —And upon all desirable banners.
kaj super ĉiuj ŝipoj de Tarŝiŝ, kaj super ĉiuj belaspektaĵoj.
17 And the haughtiness of mean men, shall be humbled, —And the loftiness of great men, shall be laid low, —And Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.
Kaj humiligita estos la fiereco de homo, kaj altaj homoj estos malaltigitaj; nur la Eternulo sola estos alta en tiu tago.
18 And, the idols, shall wholly pass away;
La idoloj estos tute neniigitaj.
19 And they shall enter into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of clay, —Because of the terribleness of Yahweh, And for his majestic splendour, When he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
Kaj oni iros en la kavernojn de la rokoj kaj en la fendojn de la tero, pro timo antaŭ la Eternulo kaj antaŭ Lia majesta grandeco, kiam Li leviĝos, por ĵeti teruron sur la teron.
20 In that day shall the son of earth cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, —which had been made for him to worship, into the hole of the mice, and to the bats;
En tiu tago la homo ĵetos al la talpoj kaj vespertoj siajn arĝentajn kaj orajn idolojn, kiujn li faris al si por adorado;
21 That he may enter into the clefts of the rocks, and into the fissures of the crags, —Because of the terribleness of Yahweh, And for his majestic splendour, When he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
por eniri en kavernojn de rokoj kaj en fendojn de ŝtonegoj, pro timo antaŭ la Eternulo kaj antaŭ Lia majesta grandeco, kiam Li leviĝos, por ĵeti teruron sur la teron.
22 Cease ye from the son of earth, In whose nostrils is but a breath, —For wherein to be reckoned upon, is he?
Ĉesu zorgi pri homo, kies animo estas en liaj nazotruoj; ĉar kion li valoras?
