Isaiah 15
1 The oracle on Moab: Because, in a night, was laid waste Ar of Moab—destroyed! Because, in a night, was laid waste Kir of Moab—destroyed,
Tamko kuhusu Moabu, Kweli, kwa usiku mmoja Ari ya Moabu imeharibiwa kabisa na kuangamizwa; kweli, kwa usiku mmoja Kira ya Moabu itaharibiwa na kuangamizwa.
2 He hath gone up to Bayith and Dibon, to the high places, to weep, —On Nebo and on Medeba, Moab is howling, On all their heads, a baldness, Every beard, clipped.
Wamenda juu hekaluni, watu wa Diboni wamenda juu kuomboleza; Moabu wanaomboleza juu ya Nebo na juu ya madeba. Vichwa vyao vimenyolewa viko wazi na na ndevu zao zimenyolewa.
3 In their streets, have they girded them with sackcloth, —On their housetops, and in their broadways, every one is howling—melting in tears;
Wamevaa nguo za magunia katka mitaa yao; juu ya dari zao na kila kona ya mitaa yao, kuyeyuka kwa kumwaga machozi.
4 And Heshbon, hath made outcry, and Elealeh, Unto Jahaz, hath been heard their voice, —For this cause, do the armed men of Moab roar, Every man’s soul, quivereth to him.
Hishiboni na Elealehi wanalia wakihitaji msaada; Sauti zao zinasikika mpaka Jahazi. Hivyo basi vijana wa vita wa Moabu wanalia wakihitaji msaada; wanatetemeka wao wenyewe.
5 Mine own heart, for Moab continueth to make outcry, Her fugitive, as far as Zoar, is like a heifer of three years; For the accent of Luhith, with weeping, they ascend, For by the way of Horonaim—an outcry of destruction, they excite;
Moyo wangu unalia juu ya Moabu; watuhumiwa wamekimbilia Zoari na Elgathi Shelishiyahi. Wanapaa juu ya Luhithi wakilia; katika barabara ya kwenda Horonaimu wanapiga kelele ole juu ya uharibifu.
6 For, the waters of Nimrim, shall become desolation, —For grass, hath dried up, Herbage hath failed, Green thing, hath not sprung up!
Maji ya Nimrimu yamekauka; majani yamepooza na majani yanyochikia yanakufa; hakuna ukijani hata kidogo.
7 For this cause, the savings they had made and that which they had stored, Over the torrent-bed of the willows, shall they bear them.
Hivyo basi vitu vingi vimekuwa na hifadhi wameipeleka juu ya kijito maarufu.
8 For the outcry hath gone round the boundary of Moab, —As far as Eglaim, the howling thereof, And to Beer-elim, the howling thereof.
Kilio kimezunguka katika himaya ya Moabu; malalamiko yamefika hata Eglaimu na Beer-Elimu.
9 For the waters of Dimon, are full of blood, For I will lay upon Dimon new troubles, —To the escaped of Moab, the lions, Even to the survivors on the soil.
Maana maji ya Dimoni imejaa damu; Simba atawavamia wale waliokimbia kutoka Moabu pia na walbakia katika nchi.
