Isaiah 13
1 The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
बेबिलोन बारेमा आमोजका छोरा यशैयाले प्राप्त गरेका घोषणाः
2 Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
नाङ्गो पहाडमाथि चिन्हका झण्डाहरू खडा गर, तिनका निम्ति उच्च सोरले कराओ, भारदारहरूका ढोकाहरूमा जानलाई हातले इशारा गर ।
3 I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
मेरो पवित्र जनलाई मैले आज्ञा गरेको छु, हो, मेरो क्रोध पुरा गर्न आफ्ना शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूलाई, गर्भका साथ आनन्दित हुने मेरो जनलाई समेत मैले बोलाएको छु ।
4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
पर्वतहरूमा एउटा भीडको जस्तो धेरै जना मानिसहरूको हल्ला! धेरै जातिहरू भेला भएका राज्यहरूको होहल्लाको आवाज! सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले युद्धका निम्ति फौज भेला पार्दै हुनुहुन्छ ।
5 They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.
तिनीहरू टाढा देशहरूबाट, क्षितिज परको बाटोबाट आउँछन् । परमप्रभुले आफ्नो न्यायको माध्यामले सम्पूर्ण देशलाई नाश गर्नुहुन्छ ।
6 Howl ye! for at hand is the day of Yahweh, —As a veritable destruction from the Almighty, shall it come.
डाँको छोडेर रोओ, किनकि परमप्रभुको दिन नजिकै छ । यो सर्वशक्तिमान्बाट विनाशसँगै आउँछ ।
7 For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.
यसकारण सबै हात कमजोर हुन्छन् र हरेक मुटुले ठाउँ छोड्छ ।
8 And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!
तिनीहरू त्रसित हुनेछन् । प्रसव वेदनामा परेकी स्त्रलाई झै तिनीहरूलाई पीडा र वेदनाले समात्छ । तिनीहरूले चकित हुँदै एकअर्कालाई हेर्नेछन् । तिनीहरूका अनुहारहरू राता हुनेछन् ।
9 Lo! the day of Yahweh, coming in, Fierce and overflowing, and burning with anger, —To devote the earth to desolation, And her sinners, will he destroy out of it.
हेर, देशलाई विनाश पार्न र त्यसबाट पापीहरूलाई नाश पार्न, परमप्रभुको दिन निर्दयी क्रोध र प्रचूर रिस लिएर आउँछ ।
10 For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
आकाशका ताराहरू र तारा पुन्जहरूले आफ्ना प्रकाश दिनेछैनन् । बिहानैदेखि सूर्य नै अध्याँरो हुनेछ र चन्द्रमा चम्कनेछैन ।
11 And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
संसारलाई त्यसको दुष्टताको निम्ति अनि दुष्टहरूलाई तिनीहरूका अपराधको निम्ति म सजाय दिनेछु । घमण्डीको अहङ्कारलाई म अन्त गर्नेछु र निर्दयीको अहङ्कारलाई तल खसाल्नेछु ।
12 I will cause, a man, to be more precious than fine gold, —Even a son of earth than, the finest gold of Ophir.
मानिसहरूलाई निखुर सुनभन्दा पनि दुर्लभ र मानवजाति भेट्न ओपीरको शुद्ध सुनभन्दा पनि कठिन म बनाउनेछु ।
13 For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
यसकारण सर्वशक्तिमान् परमभुको डरलाग्दो क्रोध र उहाँको प्रचण्ड रिसको दिनमा, आकाशलाई म हल्लाउनेछु, र पृथ्वी आफ्नो ठाउँमा हल्लिनेछ ।
14 And it shall be—Like a gazelle that is chased, And like a sheep with none to lift it up, —Each, to his own people, will they turn, And, each, to his own land, will they flee:
लखेटिएको हरिण वा गठालो नभएको भेडाझैं, हरेक मानिस आफ्ना मानिसतिर फर्कनेछ र आफ्नै देशतिर भाग्नेछ ।
15 Every one found, shall be thrust through, —And, every one taken, shall fall by the sword;
भेट्टाइएका हरेक व्यक्तिलाई मारिनेछ र कब्जा गरिएका हरेक व्यक्ति तरवारले मर्नेछ ।
16 And, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, before their eyes, —Plundered shall be, their houses, and their wives ravished.
तिनीहरू दूधे बालकहरूलाई पनि तिनीहरूकै आँखाको सामु पछारेर टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारिनेछ । तिनीहरूका घरहरू लुटिनेछ र तिनीहरूका पत्नीहरूलाई बलत्कार गरिनेछ ।
17 Behold me! stirring up against them the Medes, —Who of silver, shall take no account, And as for gold, they shall not delight in it;
हेर, तिनीहरूलाई आक्रमण गर्न मैले मादीहरूलाई उक्साउनै लागेको छु, जसले चाँदीको ख्याल गर्दैनन् न त तिनीहरू सुनमा नै खुसी हुन्छन् ।
18 And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
तिनीहरूका धनुले जवान मानिसहरूलाई प्रहार गर्नेछ । तिनीहरूले दूधे बालकहरूलाई दया देखाउँदैनन् र तिनीहरूले बालबालिकालाई दया देखाउँदैनन् ।
19 Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
त्यसपछि राज्यहरूमध्ये धेरै प्रशंसा गरिएको कल्दीहरूका गौरवको वैभव बेबिलोनलाई, परमेश्वरले सदोम र गमोरालाई झैं नष्ट पार्नुहुनेछ ।
20 It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
पुस्तौं-पुस्तासम्म त्यसमा कोही बसोवास गर्नेछैनन् । अरबीले त्यहाँ आफ्नो पाल टाँग्नेछैन, न त गोठालाहरूले आफ्ना बगालहरूलाई त्यहाँ विश्राम गराउनेछन् ।
21 Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
तर मरूभुमिका जङ्गली पशुहरू त्यहाँ बस्नेछन् । तिनीहरूका घरहरू लाटोकोसेराले भरिनेछन् । सुतुर्मुगहरू र घोरलहरू त्यहाँ उफ्रनेछन् ।
22 And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
तिनीहरूका किल्लाहरूमा हुँडारहरू कराउनेछन् र तिनीहरूका सुन्दर दरबारहरूमा स्यालहरू हुनेछन् । त्यसको समय नजिकै छ र त्यसका दिनहरू बिलम्व हुनेछैनन् ।
