Hosea 7
1 When I would have brought healing to Israel, then was disclosed the iniquity of Ephraim, and the wicked doings of Samaria, for they have wrought falsehood, —when, a thief, would enter, a band roamed about, outside,
Raha ta-hanasitrana ny Isiraely Aho, dia miseho ny helok’ i Efraima sy ny faharatsian’ i Samaria, fa manao fitaka izy; Miditra ny mpangalatra, ary ny jiolahy manao andiany dia mandehandeha eny ivelany.
2 And they say not to their own hearts, that, all their wickedness, I remember, now, have their doings, beset them about, right before my face, have they been done.
Ary tsy heveriny ao am-po fa tsarovako ny faharatsiany rehetra; Ankehitriny dia gejan’ ny nataony izy, efa tonga eo anatrehako izany.
3 By their wickedness, they gladden a king, and, by their flatteries, —rulers.
Amin’ ny faharatsiany no ampifaliany ny mpanjaka, ary amin’ ny laingany ny mpanapaka.
4 They all, are adulterers, like an oven too hot for the baker, —who leaveth off stoking, after kneading the dough, till the whole be leavened.
Samy mpaka vadin’ olona avokoa izy rehetra ka toy ny fatana voafanan’ ny mpanendy mofo, izay mitsahatra tsy misorona afo hatramin’ ny ametafetany ny koba ka ambara-pitombony.
5 In the day of our king, the rulers, have made themselves ill, with the heat of wine, —he hath extended his hand with scoffers.
Tamin’ ny andron’ ny mpanjakantsika dia nankarary tena tamin’ ny fanafanan’ ny herin’ ny divay ny mpanapaka; Nifandray tanana tamin’ ny mpaniratsira ny mpanjaka.
6 For they have made ready, like an oven, their heart, by their lying in wait, —all the night, their baker sleepeth, in the morning, he, kindleth up as it were a blazing fire.
Fa entin’ ireo ho ao am-panotrehana ny fony, toy ny ho ao amin’ ny fatana; Mandritra ny alina dia matory ihany ny mpanendy azy, ary nony maraina dia toy ny lelafo mirehitra ny fatana.
7 They all, become hot as an oven, and devour their judges, —all their kings, have fallen, there hath been none among them crying unto me.
Samy mahamay toy ny fatana izy rehetra ka mandevona ny andriambaventiny; Efa lavo avokoa, ny mpanjakany, tsy misy miantso Ahy izy rehetra.
8 As for Ephraim! with the peoples, hath he been mingling himself, —Ephraim, is a cake not turned.
Efraima dia miharoharo amin’ ireo firenena; Efraima dia efa tonga ampempa tsy voavadika.
9 Foreigners have, eaten up, his strength, and, he, knoweth it not, —even gray hairs, are sprinkled upon him, and, he, knoweth it not.
Lanin’ ny vahiny ny heriny, nefa tsy fantany akory izany; Eny, efa mipi-bolo ihany izy, saingy tsy fantany.
10 Therefore doth the Excellency of Israel, answer, to his face; yet have they not returned unto Yahweh their God, nor have they sought him, in spite of all this!
Ary ny avonavon’ Isiraely dia vavolombelona manameloka azy; Nefa, na dia izany rehetra izany aza, dia tsy miverina amin’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny ihany izy, na mitady Azy.
11 So then, Ephraim, hath become, like a simple dove, having no understanding, on Egypt, have they called, to Assyria, have they gone,
Ary Efraima dia efa tonga tahaka ny voromailala adaladala tsy manan-tsaina; Efa miantso an’ i Egypta izy ary efa mankany Asyria.
12 Whithersoever they go, I will spread over them my net, like a bird of the heavens, will I bring them down, I will chastise them, by the time the report can reach the flock of them.
Raha vao mandeha izy, dia hovelariko aminy ny fandrika haratoko, ka hampidiniko ao toy ny voro-manidina izy; Hofaizako izy araka izay efa nambara tamin’ ny fiangonany.
13 Woe to them! for they have taken flight from me, destruction to them! for they have transgressed against me, —when, I, would have ransomed them, then, they, spake—concerning me—falsehoods.
Lozan’ ireny! satria nandositra Ahy izy, haringana izy! satria niodina tamiko; Izaho ta-hanavotra azy, fa izy kosa dia lainga no entiny milaza Ahy.
14 Neither made they outcry unto me, in their heart, although they kept on howling upon their beds, over corn and new wine, they gathered themselves together, they rebelled against me.
Ary tsy mitaraina amiko ao am-pony izy, fa midradradradra foana ao am-pandriany; Mitangorona hitady vary sy ranom-boaloboka izy, dia miodina miala amiko.
15 When, I, had warned them, I strengthened their arm, —yet, against me, kept they on devising wickedness.
Ary Izaho no nampianatra sy nanatanjaka ny sandriny, nefa izy kosa dia misaintsain-dratsy Ahy,
16 They would return—not to him who is on high! They have become like a deceitful bow, their rulers, shall fall by the sword, for the rage of their tongue, this, [shall be] their derision in the land of Egypt.
Miverina ihany izy, nefa tsy ho amin’ ny Avo; Tonga tahaka ny tsipìka manjiona izy; Ho lavon-tsabatra ny mpanapaka azy noho ny firehitry ny lelany; Izany no ho latsany any amin’ ny tany Egypta.
