Hosea 5
1 Hear ye this—O priests, and attend, O house of Israel, and ye, House of the King, give ear, for, to you, pertaineth the sentence, —for, a snare, have ye been to Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.
Hört dies, ihr Priester, und du, Haus Israel, merke auf, und du, Königshaus, horche! Denn euch droht das Gericht; denn ihr seid eine Schlinge geworden für Mizpa und ein ausgebreitetes Fangnetz auf dem Tabor.
2 And, a slaughter, have apostates deeply designed, —though, I, was a rebuker to them all.
Die Abtrünnigen schlachten im Verborgenen; aber ich habe ihnen allen eine Züchtigung zugedacht.
3 I, have known Ephraim, and, Israel, hath not been hidden from me, —for, now, hast thou committed unchastity, O Ephraim, Israel, hath made himself impure.
Ich kenne Ephraim wohl, und Israel ist vor mir nicht verborgen; [ich weiß], daß du, Ephraim, jetzt Unzucht getrieben, daß Israel sich verunreinigt hat.
4 Their doings, will not suffer, them to return unto their God, —for, the spirit of unchastity, is within them, and, Yahweh, have they not known.
Ihre Taten erlauben ihnen nicht, zu ihrem Gott zurückzukehren; denn ein Geist der Unzucht ist in ihren Herzen, und den HERRN erkennen sie nicht.
5 Therefore will the Excellency of Israel, answer, to his face, —and, Israel and Ephraim, shall stumble in their iniquity, even Judah with them, hath stumbled.
Aber Israels Stolz wird sich als Zeuge wider ihn erheben; und Israel und Ephraim werden fallen durch eigene Schuld, auch Juda wird mit ihnen fallen.
6 With their flocks and with their herds, will they go to seek Yahweh, but shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
Mit ihren Schafen und mit ihren Rindern werden sie kommen, den HERRN zu suchen; aber sie werden ihn nicht finden; er hat sich von ihnen entfernt.
7 With Yahweh, have they dealt treacherously, for, to alien children, have they given birth, —now, a new moon, shall devour them, with their portions.
Sie sind dem HERRN untreu geworden; denn sie haben fremde Kinder gezeugt; jetzt wird ein Neumond sie fressen samt ihren Erbteilen.
8 Blow ye a horn in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah, —sound an alarm at Beth-aven, behind thee, O Benjamin!
Stoßt in die Posaune zu Gibea, in die Trompete zu Rama; schlaget Lärm in Beth-Aven, nimm dich in acht, Benjamin!
9 Ephraim, shall become, a desolation, in the day of rebuke: Throughout the tribes of Israel, have I hide known what is sure.
Ephraim soll zur Wüste werden am Tage der Züchtigung; was ich den Stämmen Israels angekündigt habe, das kommt gewiß!
10 The rulers of Judah have become as they who remove a land-mark. Upon them, will I pour out, like water, my wrath.
Die Fürsten Judas sind denen gleich, welche die Grenze verrücken; über sie will ich meinen Grimm ausschütten wie Wasser.
11 Oppressed, is Ephraim, crushed in judgment, —because he hath, wilfully, walked after falsehood.
Ephraim wird unterdrückt, untertreten im Gericht; denn er ist so gern Menschensatzungen nachgelaufen.
12 But, I, was like a moth, to Ephraim, —and like rotten wood to the house of Judah.
Ich aber ward für Ephraim wie eine Motte und für das Haus Juda wie ein nagender Wurm.
13 When Ephraim, saw, his injury, and Judah his wound, then went Ephraim unto Assyria, and [Judah] sent unto a hostile king, —yet, he, cannot heal you, nor will the wound, remove from you.
Und als Ephraim seine Krankheit sah und Juda sein Geschwür, da lief Ephraim zu Assur und sandte zum König Jareb; er aber konnte euch nicht heilen und das Geschwür nicht von euch nehmen.
14 For, I, will be as a lion unto Ephraim, and as a young lion to the house of Judah, —I, I, will tear in pieces, and depart, I will carry off, and none be able to rescue.
Denn ich bin wie ein Löwe gegen Ephraim und wie ein junger Leu gegen das Haus Juda; ich, ja ich, zerreiße und gehe davon und nehme weg, daß niemand erretten kann.
15 I will depart, will return unto my place! till what time they acknowledge their guilt, and seek my face, —In their trouble, will they make for me diligent search.
Ich will wiederum an meinen Ort gehen, bis sie ihre Schuld erkennen und mein Angesicht suchen werden; in ihrer Not werden sie mich ernstlich suchen:
