Hosea 12
1 Ephraim, feedeth on wind, and pursueth the east wind, all the day, falsehood and force, doth he magnify, —and, a covenant with Assyria, would they solemnize, and, oil into Egypt, must be borne along.
Efraim yana kiwo a kan iska; yana fafarar iskar gabas dukan yini yana riɓaɓɓanya ƙarairayi da rikici. Ya yi yarjejjeniya da Assuriya ya kuma aika wa Masar man zaitun.
2 But, a controversy, hath Yahweh with Judah, —so that he may bring punishment on Jacob, according to his ways, According to his doings, repay him.
Ubangiji yana da ƙarar da zai kawo a kan Yahuda; zai hukunta Yaƙub bisa ga hanyoyinsa zai sāka masa bisa ga ayyukansa.
3 In the womb, took he his brother by the heel; and, in his manly vigour, strove he with God:
A cikin mahaifa ya cafke ɗiɗɗigen ɗan’uwansa; a matsayin mutum ya yi kokawa da Allah.
4 Yea he strove against a Messenger, and prevailed, he wept, and made supplication unto him, —At Bethel, he found him, and, there, he spake with us;
Ya yi kokawa da mala’ika ya kuma rinjaye shi; ya yi kuka ya kuma yi roƙo don tagomashi. Ya same shi a Betel ya kuma yi magana da shi a can,
5 And, Yahweh, is God of host, —Yahweh, is his memorial.
Ubangiji Allah Maɗaukaki, Ubangiji ne sunansa sananne!
6 Thou, therefore, by thy God, shalt return, —lovingkindness and justice, do thou keep, so wait thou for thy God, continually.
Amma dole ku koma ga Allahnku; ku ci gaba da ƙauna da yin gaskiya, ku kuma saurari Allahnku kullum.
7 A trafficker! in his hand, are balances of deceit, to oppress, he loveth.
Ɗan kasuwa yana amfani da mudu marar gaskiya; yana jin daɗin cuta.
8 So then Ephraim said, Surely I have gotten me riches, I have found wealth for myself, —in all my toils, they cannot find in me perversity which is sin.
Efraim yana fariya yana cewa, “Ni mai arziki ne ƙwarai; na azurta. Da dukan wadatata ba za a sami wani laifi ko zunubi a gare ni ba.”
9 But, I, Yahweh, have been thy God, from the land of Egypt, —I will yet make thee dwell in tents, as in the days of appointed meeting.
“Ni ne Ubangiji Allahnku, wanda ya fitar da ku daga Masar; zan sa ku sāke zauna a tentuna, kamar a kwanakin ƙayyadaddun bukukkuwanku.
10 And I will lay my word upon the prophets, yea, I myself, have magnified, vision, —and, by the hand of the prophets, will I use similitudes.
Na yi magana da annabawa, na ba su wahayi da yawa na kuma ba da misalai ta wurinsu.”
11 If, Gilead, is in sorrow, surely false, have they been, In Gilgal, have they sacrificed, bullocks, —their very altars, shall become as heaps upon the furrows of the field.
Gileyad mugu ne? Mutanensa mutanen banza ne! Suna miƙa bijimai a Gilgal? Bagadansu za su zama tsibin duwatsu. A gonar da aka nome.
12 When Jacob fled to the country of Syria, then Israel served for a wife, and, for a wife, he watched over a flock.
Yaƙub ya gudu zuwa ƙasar Aram; Isra’ila ya yi bauta don yă sami mata, domin kuma yă biya, sai da ya yi kiwon tumaki.
13 And, by a prophet, Yahweh, brought up, Israel out of Egypt, —and, by a prophet, was he watched over.
Ubangiji ya yi amfani da annabi don yă fitar da Isra’ila daga Masar ta wurin annabi ya lura da shi.
14 Ephraim hath provoked, very bitterly, —his own blood, therefore, upon him, will he leave, and, his reproach, shall his Lord, bring back to him.
Amma Efraim ya yi muguwar tsokana da ta sa ya yi fushi; shugabansa zai ɗora musu hakkin jini a kansa kuma zai sāka masa saboda wulaƙancinsa.
