< Hebrews 1 >
1 Whereas, in many parts and in many ways of old, God spake unto the fathers, in the prophets,
puraa ya ii"svaro bhavi. syadvaadibhi. h pit. rlokebhyo naanaasamaye naanaaprakaara. m kathitavaan
2 At the end of these days, He hath spoken unto us in his Son, —whom he hath appointed heir of all things, through whom also he hath made the ages; (aiōn )
sa etasmin "se. sakaale nijaputre. naasmabhya. m kathitavaan| sa ta. m putra. m sarvvaadhikaari. na. m k. rtavaan tenaiva ca sarvvajaganti s. r.s. tavaan| (aiōn )
3 Who, being an eradiated brightness of his glory, and an exact representation of his very being, also bearing up all things by the utterance of his power, purification of sins, having achieved, sat down on the right hand of the majesty in high places:
sa putrastasya prabhaavasya pratibimbastasya tattvasya muurtti"scaasti sviiya"saktivaakyena sarvva. m dhatte ca svapraa. nairasmaaka. m paapamaarjjana. m k. rtvaa uurddhvasthaane mahaamahimno dak. si. napaar"sve samupavi. s.tavaan|
4 By so much becoming superior to the messengers, by as much as, going beyond them, he hath inherited a more distinguished name.
divyaduutaga. naad yathaa sa vi"si. s.tanaamno. adhikaarii jaatastathaa tebhyo. api "sre. s.tho jaata. h|
5 For unto which of the messengers said he at any time—My Son, art, thou, I, this day have begotten thee? and again—I, will become, his father, and, he, shall become my Son?
yato duutaanaa. m madhye kadaacidii"svare. neda. m ka ukta. h? yathaa, "madiiyatanayo. asi tvam adyaiva janito mayaa|" puna"sca "aha. m tasya pitaa bhavi. syaami sa ca mama putro bhavi. syati|"
6 But, whensoever he again introduceth the first-begotten into the habitable earth, he saith—And let all God’s messengers worship him!
apara. m jagati svakiiyaadvitiiyaputrasya punaraanayanakaale tenokta. m, yathaa, "ii"svarasya sakalai rduutaire. sa eva pra. namyataa. m|"
7 Even as to the messengers, indeed, he saith—Who maketh his messengers, winds, and his ministers of state, a fiery flame;
duutaan adhi tenedam ukta. m, yathaa, "sa karoti nijaan duutaan gandhavaahasvaruupakaan| vahni"sikhaasvaruupaa. m"sca karoti nijasevakaan||"
8 but, as to the Son, —Thy throne, O God, is unto times age-abiding, and—A sceptre of equity, is the sceptre of his kingdom, (aiōn )
kintu putramuddi"sya tenokta. m, yathaa, "he ii"svara sadaa sthaayi tava si. mhaasana. m bhavet| yaathaarthyasya bhavedda. n.do raajada. n.dastvadiiyaka. h| (aiōn )
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated lawlessness, —For this cause, hath God, thy God, anointed thee with the oil of exultation, beyond thy partners;
pu. nye prema karo. si tva. m ki ncaadharmmam. rtiiyase| tasmaad ya ii"sa ii"saste sa te mitraga. naadapi| adhikaahlaadatailena secana. m k. rtavaan tava||"
10 and—Thou, by way of beginning, Lord, the earth, didst found, and, the works of thy hands, are the heavens, —
puna"sca, yathaa, "he prabho p. rthiviimuulam aadau sa. msthaapita. m tvayaa| tathaa tvadiiyahastena k. rta. m gaganama. n.dala. m|
11 They, shall perish, but, thou, abidest still, and, all, as a mantle, shall be worn out,
ime vina. mk. syatastvantu nityamevaavati. s.thase| idantu sakala. m vi"sva. m sa. mjari. syati vastravat|
12 And, as if a robe, wilt thou fold them up, —as a mantle, and they shall be changed; but, thou, art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
sa"nkocita. m tvayaa tattu vastravat parivartsyate| tvantu nitya. m sa evaasii rnirantaastava vatsaraa. h||"
13 But, to which of the messengers, hath he said, at any time—Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool?
apara. m duutaanaa. m madhye ka. h kadaacidii"svare. nedamukta. h? yathaa, "tavaariin paadapii. tha. m te yaavannahi karomyaha. m| mama dak. si. nadigbhaage taavat tva. m samupaavi"sa||"
14 Are they not, all, spirits, doing public service, —for ministry, sent forth, for the sake of them who are about to inherit salvation?
ye paritraa. nasyaadhikaari. no bhavi. syanti te. saa. m paricaryyaartha. m pre. syamaa. naa. h sevanakaari. na aatmaana. h ki. m te sarvve duutaa nahi?
