Hebrews 3
1 Whence, holy brethren, partners, in a heavenly calling, attentively consider the Apostle and High—priest of our confession—Jesus
POR tanto, hermanos santos, participantes de la vocacion celestial, considerad el Apóstol y Pontífice de nuestra profesion, Cristo Jesus,
2 As one, faithful, to him who made him: as, Moses also, in [all] his house.
El cual es fiel al que le constituyó, como tambien [lo fué] Moisés sobre toda su casa.
3 For, of more glory than Moses, hath, this one been counted worthy—by as much as more honour than, the house, hath, he that prepared it;
Porque de [tanto] mayor gloria que Moisés este es estimado digno, cuanto tiene mayor dignidad que la casa el que la fabricó.
4 For, every house, is prepared by someone, —but, he that hath prepared all things, is, God.
Porque toda casa es edificada de alguno: mas el que crió todas las cosas, [es] Dios.
5 Even Moses, indeed, was faithful in all his house, as an attendant, for a witness of the things which were to be spoken;
Y Moisés á la verdad [fué] fiel sobre toda su casa, como criado, para testificar lo que se habia de decir:
6 But, Christ, as, a Son, over his house, —whose house are, we, —if, the freedom of speech and boast of the hope, [throughout, firm, ] we hold fast.
Mas Cristo como Hijo sobre su casa; la cual casa somos nosotros, si hasta el cabo retuviéremos firme la confianza y la gloria de la esperanza.
7 Wherefore, —according as saith the Holy Spirit—To-day, if, unto his voice ye would hearken, do not
Por lo cual, (como dice el Espíritu Santo: Si oyereis hoy su voz,
8 harden your hearts, —as in the embitterment, in the day of testing in the desert,
No endurezcais vuestros corazones como en la provocacion, en el dia de la tentacion en el desierto,
9 When your fathers tested by proving, and saw my works forty years.
Donde me tentaron vuestros padres; me probaron, y vieron mis obras cuarenta años.
10 Wherefore I was sore vexed with this generation, and said, Always err they in their heart; —howbeit, they, learned not my ways:
A causa de lo cual me enemisté con esta generacion, y dije: Siempre divagan ellos de corazon, y no han conocido mis caminos.
11 So I sware in mine anger—they shall not enter into my rest!—
Juré pues en mi ira: No entrarán en mi reposo.)
12 Be taking heed, brethren, lest at any time, there shall be in any one of you, a wicked heart of unbelief, in revolting from a Living God.
Mirad, hermanos, que en ninguno de vosotros haya corazon malo de incredulidad para apartarse del Dios vivo:
13 But be exhorting one another, on each successive day, —while the To-day is being named! lest any from among you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Antes exhortáos los unos á los otros cada dia, entretanto que se dice Hoy, porque ninguno de vosotros se endurezca con engaño de pecado.
14 For, partners of the Christ, have we become, —if, at least, the beginning of the confidence, throughout, firm, we hold fast:
Porque participantes de Cristo somos hechos, con tal que conservemos firme hasta el fin el principio de nuestra confianza;
15 So long as it is said—To-day, if, unto his voice, ye would hearken, do not harden your hearts, —as in the embitterment.
Entretanto que se dice: Si oyereis su voz hoy, no endurezcais vuestros corazones, como en la provocacion.
16 For, who, though they heard, caused embitterment? Nay, indeed! did not all who come forth out of Egypt through Moses?
Porque algunos de los que habian salido de Egipto con Moisés, habiendo oido, provocaron; aunque no todos.
17 But, with whom, was be sore vexed forty years? Was it not with them who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the desert?
Mas ¿con cuáles estuvo enojado cuarenta años? ¿no [fué] con los que pecaron, cuyos cuerpos cayeron en el desierto?
18 But, unto whom, sware he, that they should not enter into his rest, —save unto them who were obstinate?
¿Y á quiénes juró que no entrarian en su reposo, sino á aquellos que no obedecieron?
19 And we see, that they were not able to enter, because of unbelief.
Y vemos que no pudieron entrar á causa de incredulidad.
