Hebrews 10
1 For the law, having in a shadow of the destined good things, not the very image of the things, they can never, with the same sacrifices which year by year they offer evermore, make them who approach, perfect;
Fiindcă legea, având o umbră a lucrurilor bune ce vor veni și nu însăși imaginea lucrurilor, nu poate niciodată să desăvârșească pe cei ce se apropie de ea cu acele sacrificii, pe care le-au oferit neîncetat an după an.
2 Else would they not, in that case, have ceased being offered, by reason of those rendering the divine service having no further conscience at all of sins, being once for all purified?
Altfel, nu ar fi încetat ele să fie oferite? Pentru că închinătorii trebuiau să nu mai aibă conștiința păcatelor, odată curățați.
3 But, in them, is a recalling to mind of sins, year by year,
Totuși, în sacrificiile acelea este o reamintire a păcatelor în fiecare an.
4 For it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to be taking away sins.
Fiindcă este imposibil ca sângele taurilor și al țapilor să înlăture păcatele.
5 Wherefore, coming into the world, he saith: Sacrifice and offering, thou willedst not, but, a body, hast thou fitted for me, —
De aceea, venind el în lume, spune: Sacrificiu și ofrandă tu nu ai voit, dar ai pregătit un trup pentru mine;
6 In whole-burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sins, thou didst not delight:
În ofrande arse și sacrificii pentru păcat tu nu ți-ai găsit plăcerea.
7 Then, said I—Lo! I am come, —in the heading of the scroll, it is written concerning me, —to do, O God, thy will.
Atunci am spus: Iată, eu vin (în sulul cărții este scris despre mine) pentru a face voia ta, Dumnezeule.
8 Higher up, saying—Sacrifices, and offerings, and whole-burnt-offerings, and sacrifices for sins, thou willedst not, neither delightedst in, —the which, according to the law, are offered,
După ce a spus mai sus: Sacrificiu și ofrandă și ofrande arse și sacrificii pentru păcat tu nu ai voit, nici nu ți-ai găsit plăcerea [în ele]; care sunt oferite conform legii;
9 Then, hath he said—Lo! I am come! to do, thy will: —he taketh away the first, that, the second, he may establish:
Atunci el a spus: Iată, eu vin pentru a face voia ta, Dumnezeule. El desființează pe cel dintâi, ca să stabilească pe al doilea.
10 By which will, we have been made holy, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.
Voie prin care suntem sfințiți prin oferirea trupului lui Isus Cristos o dată pentru totdeauna.
11 And, every priest, indeed, standeth daily publicly ministering, and the same sacrifices ofttimes offering, the which never can clear away sins;
Și fiecare preot stă zilnic în picioare, servind și oferind deseori aceleași sacrificii care niciodată nu pot înlătura păcatele.
12 But this priest, having offered one sacrifice for sins evermore, sat down on the right hand of God:
Dar acest om, după ce a oferit un singur sacrificiu pentru păcate, pentru totdeauna, s-a așezat la dreapta lui Dumnezeu;
13 As for the rest, waiting—until his foes be made his footstool;
De acum, așteptând până când dușmanii lui vor fi făcuți sprijinul piciorului său.
14 For, by one offering, hath he perfected for evermore, them who are being made holy.
Fiindcă printr-o [singură] ofrandă el a desăvârșit pentru totdeauna pe cei sfințiți.
15 But even the Holy Spirit beareth us witness; for, after having said—
[Aceasta] ne mărturisește și Duhul Sfânt; căci după ce a spus mai înainte:
16 This is the covenant which I will covenant unto them after these days, saith the Lord, —Giving my laws upon their hearts, upon their understandings also, will I inscribe them,
Acesta este legământul pe care îl voi face cu ei după acele zile, spune Domnul: Voi pune legile mele în inimile lor și le voi scrie în mințile lor;
17 [He] also [saith] —of their sins, and of their lawlessnesses, I will in nowise be mindful any more.
Și păcatele lor și nelegiuirile lor eu nicidecum nu mi le voi aminti.
18 But, wherever a remission of these is, there is, no further, offering, for sins.
Dar acolo unde este iertare a acestora, nu mai este ofrandă pentru păcat.
19 Having therefore, brethren, freedom of speech for the entrance through the Holy place, by the blood of Jesus,
De aceea fraților, având cutezanță pentru a intra în locul preasfânt prin sângele lui Isus,
20 Which entrance he hath consecrated for us, as a way recent and living, through the veil, that is, his flesh, —
Pe o cale nouă și vie, pe care el a consacrat-o pentru noi, prin perdea, care altfel spus este carnea lui,
21 And having a great priest over the house of God,
Și având un mare preot peste casa lui Dumnezeu,
22 Let us approach with a genuine heart, in full assurance of faith, having been sprinkled, as to our hearts, from an evil conscience, and bathed, as to our bodies, with pure water;
Să ne apropiem cu o inimă adevărată, în deplină asigurare a credinței, având inimile stropite, pentru curățire, de o conștiință rea, și trupurile scăldate cu apă pură.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of the hope without wavering, —for, faithful, is he that hath promised;
Să ținem strâns mărturisirea credinței noastre, fără clătinare; (căci credincios este cel ce a promis),
24 And let us attentively consider one another, to provoke unto love and noble works, —
Și să luăm aminte unii la alții pentru a [ne] provoca la dragoste și la fapte bune,
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, according to the custom of some, but exhorting, and by so much the more as this, by as much as ye behold, the day, drawing near.
Nepărăsind adunarea noastră împreună, după cum este obiceiul unora, ci să ne îndemnăm unii pe alții; și cu atât mai mult cu cât vedeți apropiindu-se ziua.
26 For, if, by choice, we be sinning, after the receiving of the full-knowledge of the truth, no longer, for sins, is there left over, a sacrifice,
Căci dacă noi păcătuim voit după ce am primit cunoașterea adevărului, nu mai rămâne sacrificiu pentru păcate,
27 But some fearful reception of judgment and fiery jealousy, about to devour the opposers.
Ci o anumită așteptare înfricoșată a judecății și o indignare arzătoare, care îi va mistui pe potrivnici.
28 Any one having set aside a law of Moses, apart from compassions, upon [the testimony of] two or three witnesses, dieth:
Oricine a disprețuit legea lui Moise a murit fără milă, pe baza mărturiei a doi sau trei martori;
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be accounted worthy, who hath trampled underfoot the Son of God, and, the blood of the covenant, hath esteemed, a profane thing, by which he had been made holy, and, unto the Spirit of favour, hath offered wanton insult?
De o cât mai dureroasă pedeapsă presupuneți că va fi considerat demn, cel ce a călcat în picioare pe Fiul lui Dumnezeu și a socotit sângele legământului, prin care a fost sfințit, un lucru profan și a tratat disprețuitor Duhul harului?
30 For we know him that hath said—To me, belongeth avenging, I, will recompense; and again—The Lord will judge his people.
Căci cunoaștem pe cel ce a spus: Răzbunarea este a mea, eu voi răsplăti, spune Domnul. Și din nou: Domnul va judeca poporul său.
31 A fearful thing [it is] to fall into the hands of a Living God!
Înfricoșător lucru este să cazi în mâinile Dumnezeului cel viu.
32 But be calling to mind the former days, in which, once ye were illuminated, a great combat of sufferings, ye endured; —
Dar aduceți-vă aminte de zilele de dinainte, în care, după ce ați fost iluminați, ați îndurat o mare luptă a suferințelor;
33 Partly, indeed, because, both with reproaches and tribulations, ye were being made a spectacle, but, partly, because, into fellowship with them who were so involved, ye were brought; —
În parte, fiind făcuți de priveliște, deopotrivă prin ocări și necazuri, și în parte când ați devenit părtași ai celor care erau astfel folosiți.
34 For, even with them who were in bonds, ye sympathised, and, unto the seizure of your goods, with joy, ye bade welcome, —knowing that ye have yourselves, for a better possession and an abiding.
Fiindcă ați avut compasiune față de mine în lanțurile mele și ați îndurat cu bucurie prădarea bunurilor voastre, știind în voi înșivă că aveți în cer o avere mai bună și durabilă.
35 Do not, then, cast away your freedom of speech, —the which hath a great recompense.
De aceea nu lepădați cutezanța voastră, care are o mare răsplătire.
36 For, of endurance, ye have need, in order that, the will of God having done, Ye may bear away, the promise.
Fiindcă aveți nevoie de răbdare, ca, după ce ați făcut voia lui Dumnezeu, să puteți primi promisiunea.
37 For, yet a little while, how short! how short! The Coming One will be here, and will not tarry;
Deoarece încă puțin timp și cel ce vine va veni și nu va întârzia.
38 But, my righteous one, by faith, shall live, and, if he draw back, my soul delighteth not in him.
Iar cel drept va trăi prin credință; dar dacă cineva dă înapoi, sufletul meu nu își va găsi plăcerea în el.
39 We, however, are not of a drawing back unto destruction, but, of faith, unto an acquisition of life.
Dar noi nu suntem dintre cei care dau înapoi spre pieire, ci dintre cei care cred pentru salvarea sufletului.
