Haggai 1
1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first of the month, came the word of Yahweh, by the hand of Haggai the prophet, unto Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, pasha of Judah, and unto Jehoshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, saying:
Друге године цара Дарија шестог месеца првог дана дође реч Господња преко Агеја пророка Зоровавељу сину Салатиловом, управитељу јудејском, и Исусу сину Јоседековом, поглавару свештеничком, говорећи:
2 Thus, speaketh Yahweh of hosts, saying, —This people, have said, Not yet hath come the time for the house of Yahweh to be built.
Овако вели Господ над војскама говорећи: Тај народ говори: Још није дошло време, време да се сазида дом Господњи.
3 Therefore hath come the word of Yahweh by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:
За то дође реч Господња преко Агеја пророка говорећи:
4 Is it a time that, ye yourselves, should be dwelling in your own paneled houses? and, this house, be in ruins?
Је ли вама време да седите у кућама својим обложеним даскама, а овај је дом пуст?
5 Now, therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, —Apply your heart unto your own experience—
Зато сада овако вели Господ над војскама: Узмите на ум путеве своје.
6 Ye have sown much, but have brought in little, have eaten, and not been filled, have drunk, and not been satisfied with drink, have clothed you, and none hath been warm, —and, he that hath hired himself out, hath put his wages into a bag with holes.
Сејете много, а увозите мало; једете, а не бивате сити; пијете, а не напијате се; одевате се а ни један не може да се згреје; и који заслужује новце, меће их у продрт тоболац.
7 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, —Apply your heart to your own experience:
Овако вели Господ над војскама: Узмите на ум путеве своје.
8 Ascend the mountain—and bring in wood and build the house, —that I may be pleased therewith and get myself glory, saith Yahweh.
Идите на гору, и донесите дрва, те зидајте дом; и биће ми мило, и прославићу се, вели Господ.
9 When ye looked for much, then lo! it came to little, when ye brought it home, then I did blow into it, — Because of what? Demandeth Yahweh of hosts, Because of my house, the which is in ruins, while ye keep running every man to his own house.
Изгледате много, а ето мало; и шта унесете у кућу, ја раздувам; зашто? Вели Господ над војскама; зато што је дом мој пуст, а ви сваки трчите за свој дом.
10 Wherefore—on your account, have the heavens, held back, dew, — and, the earth, held back her fruit;
Зато се затвори небо над вама да нема росе, и земља се затвори да нема рода њеног.
11 And I have called for drought, upon the land and upon the mountains, and upon the corn and upon the new wine and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground, bringeth forth, —and upon man, and upon beast, and upon all the labour of the hands.
И дозвах сушу на земљу, и на горе, и на жито и на вино и на уље и на све што земља рађа, и на људе и на стоку и на сваки рад ручни.
12 Then hearkened Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jehoshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, and all the remnant of the people, unto the voice of Yahweh their God, and unto the words of Haggai the prophet, as Yahweh their God, had sent him, —and the people, stood in awe, before Yahweh.
И послуша Зоровавељ син Салатилов и Исус син Јоседеков, поглавар свештенички, и сав остатак народни глас Господа Бога свог и речи пророка Агеја, како га посла Господ Бог њихов, и побоја се народ Господа.
13 Then spake Haggai the messenger of Yahweh, in the message of Yahweh, to the people saying, —I, am with you, Declareth Yahweh.
И говори Агеј, посланик Господњи, народу као што га посла Господ, и рече: Ја сам с вама, говори Господ.
14 Thus did Yahweh, stir up—the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, pasha of Judah, and the spirit of Jehoshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, —and they came in and did service in the house of Yahweh of hosts their God:
И Господ подиже дух Зоровавељу сину Салатиловом, управитељу јудејском, и дух Исусу сину Јоседековом, поглавару свештеничком, и дух свему остатку народном, те дођоше и радише у дому Господа над војскама, Бога свог,
15 on the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, —in the second year of Darius the king.
Двадесет четвртог дана шестог месеца, друге године цара Дарија.
