Haggai 1
1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first of the month, came the word of Yahweh, by the hand of Haggai the prophet, unto Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, pasha of Judah, and unto Jehoshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, saying:
In yac se akluo ma Darius el tokosra fulat lun Persia, ke len se oemeet in malem se akonkosr, LEUM GOD El tuh kaskas nu sin mwet uh sel mwet palu Haggai. Kas inge ma nu sel Zerubbabel, governor lun Judah su wen natul Shealtiel, ac nu sel Joshua, Mwet Tol Fulat su wen natul Jehozadak.
2 Thus, speaketh Yahweh of hosts, saying, —This people, have said, Not yet hath come the time for the house of Yahweh to be built.
LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk nu sel Haggai, “Mwet inge fahk mu tia pacl fal se pa inge in sifilpa musai Tempul.”
3 Therefore hath come the word of Yahweh by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:
Na LEUM GOD El fahk kas inge nu sin mwet uh sel mwet palu Haggai:
4 Is it a time that, ye yourselves, should be dwelling in your own paneled houses? and, this house, be in ruins?
“Mwet luk, efu ku kowos muta in lohm ma musaiyukla arulana wo, a Tempul luk musallana oan?
5 Now, therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, —Apply your heart unto your own experience—
Ku kowos tiana akilen ma sikyak nu suwos uh?
6 Ye have sown much, but have brought in little, have eaten, and not been filled, have drunk, and not been satisfied with drink, have clothed you, and none hath been warm, —and, he that hath hired himself out, hath put his wages into a bag with holes.
Kowos yukwiya fita na pukanten, a ma kowos kosrani uh arulana pu. Oasr mwe mongo nowos, a kowos tia ku in kihpi kac. Oasr wain kowos in nim, a kowos tia muti kac! Oasr nuknuk lowos, tuh tia ku in akfusrfusrye kowos. Ac mwet orekma uh, molol tia fal in sang enenu lal.
7 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, —Apply your heart to your own experience:
Kowos tiana akilen lah efu ku sikyak ouinge?
8 Ascend the mountain—and bring in wood and build the house, —that I may be pleased therewith and get myself glory, saith Yahweh.
Kowos utyak inge nu fineol uh, pakema kutu sak, ac sifil musaela Tempul, na nga fah insewowo, ac kowos fah alu nu sik we.
9 When ye looked for much, then lo! it came to little, when ye brought it home, then I did blow into it, — Because of what? Demandeth Yahweh of hosts, Because of my house, the which is in ruins, while ye keep running every man to his own house.
“Kowos finsrak nu ke kosrani yohk, a ma kowos kosrani uh arulana srik. Ac ke kowos use ma kowos kosrani nu lohm suwos, nga okla wanginla. Efu ku nga oru ouinge? Mweyen Tempul luk oanna musalla, a kais sie suwos kafofona in orekma ke lohm sel sifacna.
10 Wherefore—on your account, have the heavens, held back, dew, — and, the earth, held back her fruit;
Pa inge sripen wangin af, ac wangin ma ku in kapak uh.
11 And I have called for drought, upon the land and upon the mountains, and upon the corn and upon the new wine and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground, bringeth forth, —and upon man, and upon beast, and upon all the labour of the hands.

12 Then hearkened Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jehoshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, and all the remnant of the people, unto the voice of Yahweh their God, and unto the words of Haggai the prophet, as Yahweh their God, had sent him, —and the people, stood in awe, before Yahweh.

13 Then spake Haggai the messenger of Yahweh, in the message of Yahweh, to the people saying, —I, am with you, Declareth Yahweh.

14 Thus did Yahweh, stir up—the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, pasha of Judah, and the spirit of Jehoshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, —and they came in and did service in the house of Yahweh of hosts their God:

15 on the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, —in the second year of Darius the king.
