Genesis 9
1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, —and said to them Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth;
௧பின்பு தேவன் நோவாவையும், அவனுடைய மகன்களையும் ஆசீர்வதித்து: “நீங்கள் பலுகிப் பெருகி, பூமியை நிரப்புங்கள்.
2 and let the fear of you and the dread of you be upon every living creature of the earth, and upon every bird of the heavens, —over everything that moveth along on the ground, and over all the fishes of the sea, —into your hand, have they been given.
௨உங்களைப்பற்றிய பயமும் அச்சமும் பூமியிலுள்ள அனைத்து மிருகங்களுக்கும், ஆகாயத்திலுள்ள அனைத்துப் பறவைகளுக்கும் உண்டாயிருக்கும்; பூமியிலே நடமாடுகிற அனைத்தும், சமுத்திரத்தின் மீன்வகைகள் அனைத்தும் உங்கள் கையில் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
3 As for every moving thing that hath life, yours, shall it be, for food, —Like the green herb, have I given you all things.
௩நடமாடுகிற உயிரினங்கள் அனைத்தும் உங்களுக்கு உணவாக இருக்கட்டும்; பசுமையான தாவரங்களை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததுபோல, அவைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன்.
4 Yet flesh with the life thereof, the blood thereof, shall ye not eat;
௪இறைச்சியை அதின் உயிராகிய இரத்தத்துடன் சாப்பிடவேண்டாம்.
5 And surely your blood, of your lives, will I require, From the hand of every living creature, will I require it, —and from the hand of man From the hand of each one’s brother, will I require the life of man:
௫உங்களுக்கு உயிராயிருக்கிற உங்கள் இரத்தத்திற்காகப் பழிவாங்குவேன்; அனைத்து உயிரினங்களிடத்திலும் மனிதனிடத்திலும் பழிவாங்குவேன்; மனிதனுடைய உயிருக்காக அவனவன் சகோதரனிடத்தில் பழிவாங்குவேன்.
6 He that sheddeth man’s blood, by man, shall his blood be shed, —For, in the image of God, made he man.
௬மனிதன் தேவசாயலில் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டதால், மனிதனுடைய இரத்தத்தை எவன் சிந்துகிறானோ, அவனுடைய இரத்தம் மனிதனாலே சிந்தப்படட்டும்.
7 Ye, therefore, be fruitful and multiply, swarm in the earth and multiply therein.
௭நீங்கள் பலுகிப் பெருகி, பூமியிலே திரளாகப் பெற்றெடுத்து பெருகுங்கள்” என்றார்.
8 And God spake unto Noah, and unto his sons with him saying:
௮பின்னும் தேவன் நோவாவையும், அவனுடைய மகன்களையும் நோக்கி:
9 I, therefore, behold me! establishing my covenant with you, —and with your seed after you;
௯“நான் உங்களோடும், உங்களுக்குப் பின்வரும் உங்கள் சந்ததியோடும்,
10 and with every living soul that is with you, of birds, of tame-beasts and of all wild-beasts of the earth that are with you, —of all coming forth out of the ark, even to all wild-beasts of the earth;
௧0உங்களுடன் கப்பலிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட அனைத்து உயிரினங்கள்முதல் இனிப் பூமியில் பிறக்கப்போகிற அனைத்து உயிரினங்கள்வரை பறவைகளோடும், நாட்டுமிருகங்களோடும், உங்களிடத்தில் இருக்கிற பூமியிலுள்ள அனைத்து காட்டுமிருகங்களோடும் என் உடன்படிக்கையை ஏற்படுத்துகிறேன்.
11 yea, I will establish my covenant with you, so that all flesh shall not be cut off any more, by reason of the waters of a flood, —neither shall there be any more a flood to destroy the earth.
௧௧இனி உயிருள்ளவைகளெல்லாம் வெள்ளப்பெருக்கினால் அழிக்கப்படுவதில்லையென்றும், பூமியை அழிக்க இனி வெள்ளப்பெருக்கு உண்டாவதில்லையென்றும், உங்களோடு என் உடன்படிக்கையை ஏற்படுத்துகிறேன்” என்றார்.
12 And God said, This, is the sign of the covenant which I am granting betwixt me and you, and every living soul that is with you, —to age-abiding generations: —
௧௨மேலும் தேவன்: “எனக்கும் உங்களுக்கும், உங்களிடத்தில் இருக்கும் அனைத்து உயிரினங்களுக்கும், நித்திய தலை முறைகளுக்கென்று நான் செய்கிற உடன்படிக்கையின் அடையாளமாக:
13 My bow, have I set in the cloud, —and it shall be for a sign of a covenant, betwixt me and the earth;
௧௩நான் எனது வானவில்லை மேகத்தில் வைத்தேன்; அது எனக்கும் பூமிக்கும் உண்டான உடன்படிக்கைக்கு அடையாளமாக இருக்கும்.
14 and it shall be when I draw a veil of cloud over the earth, —and the bow in the cloud appeareth,
௧௪நான் பூமிக்கு மேலாக மேகத்தை வரச்செய்யும்போது, அந்த வானவில் மேகத்தில் தோன்றும்.
15 then will I remember my covenant which is betwixt me and you, and every living soul among all flesh, —that the waters may no more become a flood, to destroy all flesh:
௧௫அப்பொழுது எல்லா உயிரினங்களையும் அழிக்க இனி தண்ணீரானது வெள்ளமாகப் பெருகாதபடி, எனக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் மாம்சமான அனைத்து உயிரினங்களுக்கும் உண்டான என் உடன்படிக்கையை நினைவுகூருவேன்.
16 so the bow shall be in the cloud, —and I will behold it, to remember an age-abiding covenant, between God, and every living soul among all flesh that is on the earth.
௧௬அந்த வானவில் மேகத்தில் தோன்றும்போது, தேவனுக்கும் பூமியின்மேலுள்ள அனைத்துவித உயிரினங்களுக்கும் உண்டான நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையை நான் நினைவுகூரும்படி அதைப் பார்ப்பேன்.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which have established, between me and all flesh that is on the earth.
௧௭இது எனக்கும், பூமியின்மேலுள்ள மாம்சமான அனைத்திற்கும் நான் ஏற்படுத்தின உடன்படிக்கையின் அடையாளம்” என்று நோவாவிடம் சொன்னார்.
18 And the sons of Noah who came forth out of the ark, were—Shem and Ham and Japheth, —now, Ham, was the father of Canaan.
௧௮கப்பலிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நோவாவின் மகன்கள் சேம், காம், யாப்பேத் என்பவர்களே. காம் கானானுக்குத் தகப்பன்.
19 These three, were the sons of Noah, —and from these, was all the earth overspread.
௧௯இம்மூவரும் நோவாவின் மகன்கள்; இவர்களாலே பூமியெங்கும் மக்கள் பெருகினார்கள்.
20 And Noah began to be a husbandman, —so he planted a vineyard:
௨0நோவா பயிரிடுகிறவனாகி, திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தை நாட்டினான்.
21 and dank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself in the midst of his tent.
௨௧அவன் திராட்சைரசத்தைக் குடித்து வெறிகொண்டு, தன் கூடாரத்தில் ஆடை விலகிப் படுத்திருந்தான்.
22 And Ham the father of Canaan saw his father’s shame, —and told his two brethren outside.
௨௨அப்பொழுது கானானுக்குத் தகப்பனாகிய காம், தன் தகப்பனுடைய நிர்வாணத்தைக் கண்டு, வெளியில் இருந்த தன் சகோதரர்கள் இருவருக்கும் சொன்னான்.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a mantle, and put it on the shoulder of them both and went backwards, and covered the shame of their father, but their faces were backwards, and the shame of their father, saw they not.
௨௩அப்பொழுது சேமும், யாப்பேத்தும் ஒரு ஆடையை எடுத்துத் தங்களுடைய தோள்களின்மேல் போட்டுக்கொண்டு, பின்முகமாக வந்து, தங்களுடைய தகப்பனின் நிர்வாணத்தை மூடினார்கள்; அவர்கள் எதிர்முகமாகப் போகாததால், தங்களுடைய தகப்பனின் நிர்வாணத்தைப் பார்க்கவில்லை.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, —and came to know what his youngest son had done to him.
௨௪நோவா திராட்சைரசத்தின் போதைதெளிந்து விழித்தபோது, தன் இளையமகன் தனக்குச் செய்ததை அறிந்து:
25 And he said, Accursed be Canaan, —a servant of servants, shall he be to his brethren!
௨௫“கானான் சபிக்கப்பட்டவன், தன் சகோதாரர்களிடம் அடிமைகளுக்கு அடிமையாக இருப்பான்” என்றான்.
26 And he said, Blessed be Yahweh, God of Shem, —And let Canaan be their servant:
௨௬“சேமுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவிற்க்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் உண்டாவதாக; கானான் அவனுக்கு அடிமையாக இருப்பான்.
27 God give extension to Japheth, But make his habitation in the tents of Shem, And let Canaan be their servant.
௨௭யாப்பேத்தை தேவன் பெருகச்செய்வார்; அவன் சேமுடைய கூடாரங்களில் குடியிருப்பான்; கானான் அவனுக்கு அடிமையாக இருப்பான்” என்றான்.
28 And Noah lived after the flood, —three hundred and fifty years:
௨௮வெள்ளப்பெருக்கிற்குப் பிறகு நோவா 350 வருடங்கள் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.
29 so, all the days of Noah, were—nine hundred and fifty years, —and he died.
௨௯நோவாவின் நாட்களெல்லாம் 950 வருடங்கள்; அவன் இறந்தான்.
