< Genesis 9 >

1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, —and said to them Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth;
Ary Andriamanitra nitso-drano an’ i Noa sy ny zanany hoe; Maroa fara sy mihabetsaha ary mamenoa ny tany.
2 and let the fear of you and the dread of you be upon every living creature of the earth, and upon every bird of the heavens, —over everything that moveth along on the ground, and over all the fishes of the sea, —into your hand, have they been given.
Ary ny tahotra sy horohoro anareo hahazo ny bibi-dia rehetra sy ny voro-manidina rehetra; ireny mbamin’ izay rehetra mandady na mikisaka amin’ ny tany sy ny hazandrano rehetra ao amin’ ny ranomasina dia efa natolotra eo an-tananareo.
3 As for every moving thing that hath life, yours, shall it be, for food, —Like the green herb, have I given you all things.
Ny biby mihetsiketsika rehetra izay miaina dia ho fihinana ho anareo; dia efa nomeko anareo toy ny zava-maitso izy rehetra.
4 Yet flesh with the life thereof, the blood thereof, shall ye not eat;
Kanefa ny nofo izay mbola misy aina dia ny ràny no aza haninareo.
5 And surely your blood, of your lives, will I require, From the hand of every living creature, will I require it, —and from the hand of man From the hand of each one’s brother, will I require the life of man:
Fa ny ranareo kosa dia hadiniko, satria ainareo izany; eo amin’ ny tanan’ ny manan’ aina rehetra no hanadinako azy; ary eo amin’ ny tanan’ ny olona, dia eo amin’ ny tanan’ ny olona avy, no hanadinako ny ain’ ny olona.
6 He that sheddeth man’s blood, by man, shall his blood be shed, —For, in the image of God, made he man.
Izay mandatsaka ny ran’ olona, dia mba halatsak’ olona kosa ny ràny, satria tahaka ny endrik’ Andriamanitra no nanaovany ny olona.
7 Ye, therefore, be fruitful and multiply, swarm in the earth and multiply therein.
Koa ny aminareo, dia maroa fara sy mihabetsaha; miteraha be eny ambonin’ ny tany sy mihabetsaha eny.
8 And God spake unto Noah, and unto his sons with him saying:
Ary Andriamanitra niteny tamin’ i Noa sy tamin’ ny zanany, izay niaraka taminy, ka nanao hoe:
9 I, therefore, behold me! establishing my covenant with you, —and with your seed after you;
Indro, Izaho efa manorina ny fanekeko aminareo sy amin’ ny taranakareo mandimby anareo
10 and with every living soul that is with you, of birds, of tame-beasts and of all wild-beasts of the earth that are with you, —of all coming forth out of the ark, even to all wild-beasts of the earth;
sy amin’ ny zava-manan’ aina rehetra eo aminareo, na ny vorona, na ny biby fiompy, na ny bibi-dia rehetra eo aminareo: izay rehetra nivoaka avy tao anatin’ ny sambo-fiara, dia ny biby samy hafa rehetra.
11 yea, I will establish my covenant with you, so that all flesh shall not be cut off any more, by reason of the waters of a flood, —neither shall there be any more a flood to destroy the earth.
Dia aoriko ny fanekeko aminareo, ka tsy haringako amin’ ny safo-drano intsony ny nofo rehetra, ary tsy hisy safo-drano hanimba ny tany intsony.
12 And God said, This, is the sign of the covenant which I am granting betwixt me and you, and every living soul that is with you, —to age-abiding generations: —
Ary hoy Andriamanitra: Izao no famantarana ny fanekena izay ataoko ho amiko sy ho aminareo mbamin’ ny zava-manan’ aina rehetra eo aminareo hatramin’ ny taranaka fara mandimby:
13 My bow, have I set in the cloud, —and it shall be for a sign of a covenant, betwixt me and the earth;
Ny avako efa napetrako eo amin’ ny rahona ho famantarana ny fanekena ho amiko sy ho amin’ ny tany.
14 and it shall be when I draw a veil of cloud over the earth, —and the bow in the cloud appeareth,
Ary raha mampiangona rahona eo ambonin’ ny tany Aho, ka hita eo amin’ ny rahona ny avana,
15 then will I remember my covenant which is betwixt me and you, and every living soul among all flesh, —that the waters may no more become a flood, to destroy all flesh:
dia hotsarovako ny fanekeko izay ho amiko sy ho aminareo mbamin’ ny zava-manan’ aina, dia ny nofo rehetra; ary tsy hisy safo-drano, handringana ny nofo rehetra intsony.
16 so the bow shall be in the cloud, —and I will behold it, to remember an age-abiding covenant, between God, and every living soul among all flesh that is on the earth.
Ary ho eo amin’ ny rahona ny avana; ary hitsinjo azy Aho hahatsiarovako ny fanekena mandrakizay izay ho amin’ Andriamanitra sy ho amin’ ny zava-manan’ aina rehetra, dia ny nofo rehetra ambonin’ ny tany.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which have established, between me and all flesh that is on the earth.
Ary hoy Andriamanitra tamin’ i Noa: Izany no famantarana ny fanekena izay naoriko ho amiko sy ho amin’ ny nofo rehetra ambonin’ ny tany.
18 And the sons of Noah who came forth out of the ark, were—Shem and Ham and Japheth, —now, Ham, was the father of Canaan.
Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Noa izay izay nivoaka avy tamin’ ny sambo-fiara dia Sema sy Hama ary Jafeta; ary i Hama no rain’ i Kanana.
19 These three, were the sons of Noah, —and from these, was all the earth overspread.
Ireo telo lahy ireo no zanak’ i Noa; ary avy tamin’ ireo no nielezan’ ny olona tambonin’ ny tany rehetra.
20 And Noah began to be a husbandman, —so he planted a vineyard:
Ary vao tonga mpiasa tany Noa ka nanao tanim-boaloboka.
21 and dank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself in the midst of his tent.
Ary nisotro tamin’ ny divay izy ka mamo; dia nanary lamba izy ka nitanjaka tao anatin’ ny lainy.
22 And Ham the father of Canaan saw his father’s shame, —and told his two brethren outside.
Ary hitan’ i Hama, rain’ i Kanana ny fitanjahan’ ny rainy, dia nambarany tamin’ ny rahalahiny roa lahy teo ivelany.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a mantle, and put it on the shoulder of them both and went backwards, and covered the shame of their father, but their faces were backwards, and the shame of their father, saw they not.
Ary nalain’ i Sema sy Jafeta ny lamba ka nentin’ izy mirahalahy teo an-tsorony, dia nanao dia mianotra izy ka nandrakotra ny fitanjahan’ ny rainy; ary ny tavany tsy nanatrika, ka dia tsy hitany ny fitanjahan’ ny rainy.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, —and came to know what his youngest son had done to him.
Dia nahatsiaro Noa, rehefa afaka ny hamamoany, ka nahafantatra izay efa nataon’ ny zanany faralahy taminy.
25 And he said, Accursed be Canaan, —a servant of servants, shall he be to his brethren!
Dia hoy izy: Ho voaozona anie Kanana; Ho tena andevon’ ny rahalahiny izy.
26 And he said, Blessed be Yahweh, God of Shem, —And let Canaan be their servant:
Ary hoy koa izy: Isaorana anie Jehovah, Andriamanitr’ i Sema; Ary aoka Kanana ho andevony.
27 God give extension to Japheth, But make his habitation in the tents of Shem, And let Canaan be their servant.
Hataon’ Andriamanitra malalaka anie Jafeta; Ary aoka honina ao an-dain’ i Sema izy; Ary aoka Kanana ho andevony.
28 And Noah lived after the flood, —three hundred and fifty years:
Ary ny andro niainan’ i Noa taorian’ ny safo-drano dia dimam-polo amby telon-jato taona.
29 so, all the days of Noah, were—nine hundred and fifty years, —and he died.
Ary ny andro rehetra niainan’ i Noa dia dimam-polo amby sivin-jato taona; dia maty izy.
