< Genesis 9 >
1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, —and said to them Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth;
Ndipo Mulungu anadalitsa Nowa ndi ana ake aamuna nati kwa iwo, “Berekanani ndipo muchulukane ndi kudzaza dziko lapansi.
2 and let the fear of you and the dread of you be upon every living creature of the earth, and upon every bird of the heavens, —over everything that moveth along on the ground, and over all the fishes of the sea, —into your hand, have they been given.
Nyama zonse za dziko lapansi, ndi mbalame zonse za mlengalenga, ndi chamoyo chilichonse chokwawa, ndiponso nsomba zonse za ku nyanja; zidzakuopani ndipo ndazipereka kuti muzilamulire.
3 As for every moving thing that hath life, yours, shall it be, for food, —Like the green herb, have I given you all things.
Tsopano chamoyo chilichonse chidzakhala chakudya chanu. Monga momwe ndinakupatsirani ndiwo zamasamba, tsopano ndikupatsaninso nyama iliyonse.
4 Yet flesh with the life thereof, the blood thereof, shall ye not eat;
“Koma musamadye nyama imene ikanali ndi magazi oyenda.
5 And surely your blood, of your lives, will I require, From the hand of every living creature, will I require it, —and from the hand of man From the hand of each one’s brother, will I require the life of man:
Aliyense wopha munthu adzaphedwa, nyama iliyonse yopha munthu idzaphedwa, munthu aliyense wopha munthu mnzake, adzaphedwa.
6 He that sheddeth man’s blood, by man, shall his blood be shed, —For, in the image of God, made he man.
“Aliyense wopha munthu, adzaphedwanso ndi munthu; pakuti Mulungu analenga munthu mʼchifanizo chake.
7 Ye, therefore, be fruitful and multiply, swarm in the earth and multiply therein.
Inu muberekane ndi kuchulukana kuti mudzaze dziko lonse lapansi ndi kuligonjetsa.”
8 And God spake unto Noah, and unto his sons with him saying:
Mulungu anawuza Nowa ndi ana ake kuti,
9 I, therefore, behold me! establishing my covenant with you, —and with your seed after you;
“Tsopano Ine ndapangana ndi iwe ndi zidzukulu zako zamʼtsogolomo,
10 and with every living soul that is with you, of birds, of tame-beasts and of all wild-beasts of the earth that are with you, —of all coming forth out of the ark, even to all wild-beasts of the earth;
pamodzi ndi zamoyo zonse, mbalame, ziweto ndi nyama zonse za kuthengo, ndi zonse zimene zinatuluka mʼchombo pamodzi ndi iwe.
11 yea, I will establish my covenant with you, so that all flesh shall not be cut off any more, by reason of the waters of a flood, —neither shall there be any more a flood to destroy the earth.
Pangano langa ndi ili: Ine ndilonjeza kuti sindidzawononganso zamoyo ndi madzi a chigumula. Chigumula sichidzawononganso dziko lapansi.”
12 And God said, This, is the sign of the covenant which I am granting betwixt me and you, and every living soul that is with you, —to age-abiding generations: —
Ndipo Mulungu anati, “Ine ndikupereka chizindikiro ichi cha pangano langa la pakati pa Ine ndi iwe, ana ako, zamoyo zonse, pamodzi ndi mibado ya mʼtsogolo.
13 My bow, have I set in the cloud, —and it shall be for a sign of a covenant, betwixt me and the earth;
Ndayika utawaleza wanga mʼmitambo, ndipo chidzakhala chizindikiro cha pangano langa ndi dziko lapansi.
14 and it shall be when I draw a veil of cloud over the earth, —and the bow in the cloud appeareth,
Nthawi zonse pakakhala mitambo mu mlengalenga ndipo utawaleza uwoneka,
15 then will I remember my covenant which is betwixt me and you, and every living soul among all flesh, —that the waters may no more become a flood, to destroy all flesh:
ndizikumbukira pangano langa pakati pa Ine ndi inu ndi zolengedwa zonse. Madzi sadzakhalanso chigumula chowononga dziko lapansi.
16 so the bow shall be in the cloud, —and I will behold it, to remember an age-abiding covenant, between God, and every living soul among all flesh that is on the earth.
Utawaleza ukamadzaoneka mʼmitambo, ndidzawuona ndi kukumbukira pangano losatha pakati pa Mulungu ndi zamoyo zonse pa dziko lapansi.”
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which have established, between me and all flesh that is on the earth.
Choncho Mulungu anati kwa Nowa, “Ichi ndiye chizindikiro cha pangano limene ndalichita pakati pa Ine ndi zamoyo zonse pa dziko lapansi.”
18 And the sons of Noah who came forth out of the ark, were—Shem and Ham and Japheth, —now, Ham, was the father of Canaan.
Ana aamuna a Nowa amene anatuluka mʼchombo muja anali Semu, Hamu ndi Yafeti. Hamu anali abambo ake a Kanaani.
19 These three, were the sons of Noah, —and from these, was all the earth overspread.
Ana aamuna a Nowa amenewa ndiwo anali makolo a anthu onse pa dziko lapansi.
20 And Noah began to be a husbandman, —so he planted a vineyard:
Nowa anali munthu woyamba kulima munda wamphesa.
21 and dank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself in the midst of his tent.
Tsiku lina pamene Nowa anamwako vinyo wa zipatso za mʼmundawo analedzera ndipo anavula zovala zake zonse ndi kugona mu tenti yake ali maliseche.
22 And Ham the father of Canaan saw his father’s shame, —and told his two brethren outside.
Hamu, abambo ake a Kanaani ataona kuti abambo ake ali maliseche anakawuza abale ake awiri aja omwe anali panja.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a mantle, and put it on the shoulder of them both and went backwards, and covered the shame of their father, but their faces were backwards, and the shame of their father, saw they not.
Koma Semu ndi Yafeti anatenga chofunda nachiyika pa mapewa awo; ndipo anayenda chamʼmbuyo naphimba umaliseche wa abambo awo. Anafulatira kuti asaone umaliseche wa abambo awo.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, —and came to know what his youngest son had done to him.
Nowa atadzuka, kuledzera kutatha, ndikudziwa zimene mwana wake wamngʼono wamwamuna uja anamuchitira,
25 And he said, Accursed be Canaan, —a servant of servants, shall he be to his brethren!
anati, “Atembereredwe Kanaani! Adzakhala kapolo wa pansi kwenikweni kwa abale ake.”
26 And he said, Blessed be Yahweh, God of Shem, —And let Canaan be their servant:
Anatinso, “Atamandike Yehova, Mulungu wa Semu! Kanaani akhale kapolo wa Semu.
27 God give extension to Japheth, But make his habitation in the tents of Shem, And let Canaan be their servant.
Mulungu akulitse dziko la Yafeti; Yafeti alandire madalitso pamodzi ndi Semu, ndipo Kanaani akhale kapolo wawo.”
28 And Noah lived after the flood, —three hundred and fifty years:
Chitatha chigumula, Nowa anakhala ndi moyo zaka 350.
29 so, all the days of Noah, were—nine hundred and fifty years, —and he died.
Anamwalira ali ndi zaka 950.
