< Genesis 6 >
1 And it came to pass when men had begun to multiply on the face of the ground and daughters had been born to them,
Bere a nnipa dɔɔso wɔ asase so na wɔwoo mmabea no,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men! that they were, fair, —so they took to themselves wives of whomsoever they chose,
Onyankopɔn mmabarima no huu sɛ nnipa mmabea no ho yɛ fɛ, nti nea obiara pɛ no no, ɔfaa no waree.
3 And Yahweh said—My spirit shall not rule in man to times age—abiding, for that, he also, is flesh, —Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
Na Awurade kae se, “Me honhom rentena nnipa mu nkosi daa, efisɛ wɔyɛ ɔhonam; na wɔn nkwa nna bɛyɛ mfe ɔha aduonu.”
4 The giants, were in the earth in those days, and also, after that, when the sons of God began to go in unto the daughters of men, and sons were born to them, the same, were the heroes that were from age-past times the men of renown.
Saa bere no, na nnipa abran wɔ asase no so. Bere a Onyankopɔn mmabarima yi kɔɔ nnipa mmabea yi ho no, wɔne wɔn wowoe. Saa nnipa yi ne kan tete nnipa atitiriw a wogyee din no.
5 Then Yahweh saw that great, was the wickedness of man in the earth, and that, every purpose of the devices of his heart, was only wicked all the day;
Awurade Nyankopɔn huu sɛ adesamma amumɔyɛ adɔɔso wɔ asase so, na nnipa nsusuwii nyinaa yɛ bɔne nko ara.
6 and it grieved Yahweh, that he had made man in the earth, —and he took sorrow unto his heart.
Awurade Nyankopɔn nuu ne ho sɛ ɔbɔɔ wɔn bɛtenaa asase so. Saa bɔne no yɛɛ Awurade Nyankopɔn awerɛhow.
7 And Yahweh said—I must wipe off man whom I created from off the face of the ground, from man unto beast unto creeping thing, and unto the bird of the heavens, —for I am grieved that I made them.
Awurade kae se, “Mɛpepa nnipa a mabɔ wɔn no afi asase so; mmoa ne mmoa a wɔwea asase so ne wim nnomaa, efisɛ manu me ho sɛ mebɔɔ wɔn.”
8 But, Noah, had found favour in the eyes, of Yahweh.
Nanso Noa de, onyaa adom Awurade anim.
9 These, are the generations of Noah, Noah, was, a righteous man blameless, in his generations, —with God, did Noah walk.
Noa awo ntoatoaso ni. Na Noa yɛ onipa ɔtreneeni a ne ho nni asɛm wɔ ne bere sofo no mu. Ɔyɛɛ Onyankopɔn apɛde.
10 And Noah begat three sons, —Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Noa woo mmabarima baasa na wɔn din de Sem, Ham ne Yafet.
11 And the earth corrupted itself before God, —and the earth was filled with violence,
Na bɔne ahyɛ asase so ma a, amumɔyɛsɛm adɔɔso.
12 And God beheld the earth, and lo! it had corrupted itself, —surely all flesh had corrupted its way, on the earth.
Onyankopɔn huu saa bɔne yi nyinaa wɔ asase so, huu awurukasɛm ne amumɔyɛsɛm wɔ mmaa nyinaa nso.
13 So God said unto Noah: the end of all flesh, hath come in before me, for, filled, is the earth with violence, because of them, —behold me, then, destroying them with the earth.
Enti Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ Noa se, “Esiane sɛ nnipa ama basabasa aba asase so nti, mɛsɛe nnipa ne asase a wɔte so no nyinaa.
14 Make for thee an ark of timbers of gopher, rooms, shalt thou make with the ark, —and thou shalt cover it within and without with pitch.
Fa ɔwawa dua yɛ adaka. Yɛ adan wɔ Adaka no mu, na fa ama ka mu ne akyi nyinaa.
15 And, this, is how thou shalt make it, —three hundred cubits, the length of the ark, fifty cubits, the breadth thereof, and thirty cubits the height thereof.
Sɛɛ na ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ no: ma ne tenten nyɛ anammɔn ahannan aduonum, ne trɛw anammɔn aduɔson anum, na ne sorokɔ nso nyɛ anammɔn aduanan anum.
16 A place for light, shalt thou make to the ark and to a cubit, shalt thou finish it upwards, and the opening of the ark—in the side thereof, shalt thou put, —with lower, second and third stories, shalt thou make it.
Bɔ adaka no so. Ma ne sorokɔ nyɛ bɛyɛ sɛ nsateaa dunwɔtwe. Fa ɔpon to adaka no nkyɛn, na yɛ nsɛmso abiɛsa; nea edi kan, nea ɛda ntam ne nea ɛwɔ soro.
17 And, I, behold me! bringing in the flood—even waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh wherein is the spirit of life, from under the heavens, —everything that is in the earth, shall cease to breathe:
Tie! Mede nsuyiri rebɛkata asase so nyinaa, na mede asɛe abɔde a nkwa wɔ mu; biribiara a nkwa wɔ mu no, ne nyinaa bewuwu.
18 therefore will I establish my covenant with thee, —and thou shalt enter into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives, with thee.
Na wo de, me ne wo bɛyɛ apam; na wo, wo mmabarima, wo yere ne wo mmabarima yerenom nyinaa ne wo bɛba Adaka no mu.
19 Moreover of all the living creatures of all flesh—two of each, shalt thou bring into the ark to keep alive with thee, —male and female, shall they be.
Ɛsɛ sɛ wode abɔde a nkwa wɔ mu nyinaa, abien abien a ɛyɛ onini ne ɔbere, a wo ne wɔn bɛtena adaka no mu nsuyiri bere no a wonnwuwu.
20 Of the bird after its kind and of the beast after its kind, [and] of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each, shall come in unto thee. for keeping alive.
Nnomaa ahorow biara abien, mmoa biara abien, ne abɔde biara a ɛwea asase so abien bɛba wo nkyɛn, na woahwɛ wɔn, na wɔanwuwu.
21 But thou, take to thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it unto thee, —and it shall be for thee and for them for food.
Afei, fa nnuan ahorow a wodi na kora. Ɛno na ɛbɛyɛ wo ne wɔn nnuan a mubedi.”
22 And Noah did [so], —according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Noa yɛɛ biribiara pɛpɛɛpɛ, sɛnea Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ ɔnyɛ no.
