Genesis 6
1 And it came to pass when men had begun to multiply on the face of the ground and daughters had been born to them,
E aconteceu que, como os homens se começaram a multiplicar sobre a face da terra, e lhes nasceram filhas;
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men! that they were, fair, —so they took to themselves wives of whomsoever they chose,
Viram os filhos de Deus que as filhas dos homens eram formosas; e tomaram para si mulheres de todas as que escolheram.
3 And Yahweh said—My spirit shall not rule in man to times age—abiding, for that, he also, is flesh, —Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
Então disse o Senhor: Não contenderá o meu Espirito para sempre com o homem; porque elle tambem é carne: porém os seus dias serão cento e vinte annos
4 The giants, were in the earth in those days, and also, after that, when the sons of God began to go in unto the daughters of men, and sons were born to them, the same, were the heroes that were from age-past times the men of renown.
Havia n'aquelles dias gigantes na terra; e tambem depois, quando os filhos de Deus entraram ás filhas dos homens, e d'ellas geraram filhos: estes eram os valentes que houve na antiguidade, os varões de fama.
5 Then Yahweh saw that great, was the wickedness of man in the earth, and that, every purpose of the devices of his heart, was only wicked all the day;
E viu o Senhor que a maldade do homem se multiplicára sobre a terra, e que toda a imaginação dos pensamentos de seu coração era só má continuamente.
6 and it grieved Yahweh, that he had made man in the earth, —and he took sorrow unto his heart.
Então arrependeu-se o Senhor de haver feito o homem sobre a terra, e pezou-lhe em seu coração.
7 And Yahweh said—I must wipe off man whom I created from off the face of the ground, from man unto beast unto creeping thing, and unto the bird of the heavens, —for I am grieved that I made them.
E disse o Senhor: Destruirei o homem que creei de sobre a face da terra, desde o homem até ao animal, até ao reptil, e até á ave dos céus; porque me arrependo de os haver feito.
8 But, Noah, had found favour in the eyes, of Yahweh.
Noé porém achou graça aos olhos do Senhor.
9 These, are the generations of Noah, Noah, was, a righteous man blameless, in his generations, —with God, did Noah walk.
Estas são as gerações de Noé: Noé era varão justo e recto em suas gerações: Noé andava com Deus
10 And Noah begat three sons, —Shem, Ham and Japheth.
E gerou Noé tres filhos: Sem, Cão, e Japhet.
11 And the earth corrupted itself before God, —and the earth was filled with violence,
A terra porém estava corrompida diante da face de Deus: e encheu-se a terra de violencia.
12 And God beheld the earth, and lo! it had corrupted itself, —surely all flesh had corrupted its way, on the earth.
E viu Deus a terra, e eis que estava corrompida; porque toda a carne havia corrompido o seu caminho sobre a terra.
13 So God said unto Noah: the end of all flesh, hath come in before me, for, filled, is the earth with violence, because of them, —behold me, then, destroying them with the earth.
Então disse Deus a Noé: O fim de toda a carne é vindo perante a minha face; porque a terra está cheia de violencia; e eis que os desfarei com a terra.
14 Make for thee an ark of timbers of gopher, rooms, shalt thou make with the ark, —and thou shalt cover it within and without with pitch.
Faze para ti uma arca da madeira de Gopher: farás compartimentos na arca, e a betumarás por dentro e por fóra com betume.
15 And, this, is how thou shalt make it, —three hundred cubits, the length of the ark, fifty cubits, the breadth thereof, and thirty cubits the height thereof.
E d'esta maneira a farás: De trezentos covados o comprimento da arca, e de cincoenta covados a sua largura, e de trinta covados a sua altura.
16 A place for light, shalt thou make to the ark and to a cubit, shalt thou finish it upwards, and the opening of the ark—in the side thereof, shalt thou put, —with lower, second and third stories, shalt thou make it.
Farás na arca uma janella, e de um covado a acabarás em cima; e a porta da arca porás ao seu lado; far-lhe-has andares baixos, segundos e terceiros.
17 And, I, behold me! bringing in the flood—even waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh wherein is the spirit of life, from under the heavens, —everything that is in the earth, shall cease to breathe:
Porque eis que Eu trago um diluvio de aguas sobre a terra, para desfazer toda a carne em que ha espirito de vida debaixo dos céus: tudo o que ha na terra expirará.
18 therefore will I establish my covenant with thee, —and thou shalt enter into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives, with thee.
Mas comtigo estabelecerei o meu pacto; e entrarás na arca tu e os teus filhos, e a tua mulher, e as mulheres de teus filhos comtigo.
19 Moreover of all the living creatures of all flesh—two of each, shalt thou bring into the ark to keep alive with thee, —male and female, shall they be.
E de tudo o que vive, de toda a carne, dois de cada especie, metterás na arca, para os conservar vivos comtigo; macho e femea serão.
20 Of the bird after its kind and of the beast after its kind, [and] of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each, shall come in unto thee. for keeping alive.
Das aves conforme a sua especie, e das bestas conforme a sua especie, de todo o reptil da terra conforme a sua especie, dois de cada especie virão a ti, para os conservar em vida.
21 But thou, take to thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it unto thee, —and it shall be for thee and for them for food.
E tu toma para ti de toda a comida que se come, e ajunta-a para ti; e te será para mantimento para ti e para elles.
22 And Noah did [so], —according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Assim fez Noé: conforme a tudo o que Deus lhe mandou, assim o fez.
