< Genesis 6 >
1 And it came to pass when men had begun to multiply on the face of the ground and daughters had been born to them,

2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men! that they were, fair, —so they took to themselves wives of whomsoever they chose,

3 And Yahweh said—My spirit shall not rule in man to times age—abiding, for that, he also, is flesh, —Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
Te dongah BOEIPA loh, “Hlang ngawn tah pumsa la om tih kai kah mueihla loh hlang taengah kumhal ah ka naep eh a ti pawt dongah hlang kah khohnin he kum ya neh kum kul mah om saeh,” a ti.
4 The giants, were in the earth in those days, and also, after that, when the sons of God began to go in unto the daughters of men, and sons were born to them, the same, were the heroes that were from age-past times the men of renown.

5 Then Yahweh saw that great, was the wickedness of man in the earth, and that, every purpose of the devices of his heart, was only wicked all the day;

6 and it grieved Yahweh, that he had made man in the earth, —and he took sorrow unto his heart.

7 And Yahweh said—I must wipe off man whom I created from off the face of the ground, from man unto beast unto creeping thing, and unto the bird of the heavens, —for I am grieved that I made them.
Te dongah BOEIPA loh, “Ka suen hlang te diklai hman lamkah ka khoe pawn ni. Hlang khaw, rhamsa khaw, rhulcai khaw, vaan kah vaa khaw amih ka saii dongah te ka hal coeng,” a ti.
8 But, Noah, had found favour in the eyes, of Yahweh.
Tedae Noah tah BOEIPA mik ah mikdaithen la om.
9 These, are the generations of Noah, Noah, was, a righteous man blameless, in his generations, —with God, did Noah walk.
Hekah he tah Noah kah rhuirhong ni. Noah he amah kah thawnpuei khuiah hlang duengneha cuemthuek la om. Pathen nen khaw Noah tah pongpa hmaih.
10 And Noah begat three sons, —Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Noah loh capa pathum Shem, Ham neh Japheth tea sak.
11 And the earth corrupted itself before God, —and the earth was filled with violence,
Te vaengah diklai te Pathen mikhmuh ah poci tih diklai te kuthlahnahloh a khulae.
12 And God beheld the earth, and lo! it had corrupted itself, —surely all flesh had corrupted its way, on the earth.
Te dongah Pathenloh a sawt vaengah diklai hmanah pumsa boeih tah a longpuei te poci tih diklai khaw poci coeng ne.
13 So God said unto Noah: the end of all flesh, hath come in before me, for, filled, is the earth with violence, because of them, —behold me, then, destroying them with the earth.
Te dongah Pathen loh Noah taengah, “Pumsa boeih kah a bawtnah tah ka mikhmuh ah pai coeng. Amih mikhmuh lamkah kuthlahnahte diklai hah. Te dongah ni diklai neh amihte ka phae ne.
14 Make for thee an ark of timbers of gopher, rooms, shalt thou make with the ark, —and thou shalt cover it within and without with pitch.
Namah ham gopher thing neh lawngte saii lamtah lawng tea bu saii pah. Te phoeiah a khui ah khaw, poeng ah khaw aang neh hnil.
15 And, this, is how thou shalt make it, —three hundred cubits, the length of the ark, fifty cubits, the breadth thereof, and thirty cubits the height thereof.
Tekah lawng te metlamna saii eh tikoinih, lawng kah a yun te dong ya thum, a daang dong sawmnga, a sang dong thukip lo ni.
16 A place for light, shalt thou make to the ark and to a cubit, shalt thou finish it upwards, and the opening of the ark—in the side thereof, shalt thou put, —with lower, second and third stories, shalt thou make it.
Lawng te imphuna saii vetih tlungyun te tah dong khat cup sak. Te phoeiah lawng kah a kaep ah thohka khueh lamtah a cuek, pabae neh pathum la saii.
17 And, I, behold me! bringing in the flood—even waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh wherein is the spirit of life, from under the heavens, —everything that is in the earth, shall cease to breathe:
Kai khaw kamah loh pumsa boeihte phae hamla diklai ah tuilii tui kang khuen coeng ne. A khuiah vaan hmui lamkah hingnah mueihla khaw, diklai dongkaha cungkuem he pal ni.
18 therefore will I establish my covenant with thee, —and thou shalt enter into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives, with thee.
Tedae nang taengah kai kah paipi te ka thoh vetih nang khaw, na carhoek khaw, na yuu khaw, na langa rhoek khaw, namah neh lawng khuilana khuen ni.
19 Moreover of all the living creatures of all flesh—two of each, shalt thou bring into the ark to keep alive with thee, —male and female, shall they be.
Te vaengah mulhing boeih lamkah khaw, pumsa boeih lamkah khaw a hluei neha la te panitah khueh lamtah namah taengah hing sak ham lawng te boeih paan puei.
20 Of the bird after its kind and of the beast after its kind, [and] of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each, shall come in unto thee. for keeping alive.
Vaa te khaw amah hui la, rhamsa lamkah khaw amah hui la, diklai ah rhulcai boeih lamkah amah hui la, boeih khuikah panit tah hlun ham nang taengah ham paan saeh.
21 But thou, take to thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it unto thee, —and it shall be for thee and for them for food.
Te phoeiah na caak ham buh boeihte namah taengah khuen lamtah namah ham tung. Namah ham neh amih ham cakok la om saeh,” a ti nah.
22 And Noah did [so], —according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
