Genesis 5

1 This, is the record of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, In the likeness of God, made he him:

Hii ni orodha iliyoandikwa ya vizazi vya Adamu. Wakati Mungu alipomuumba Adamu, alimfanya kwa sura ya Mungu.

2 Male and female, created he them, —and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day they were created.

Aliwaumba mwanaume na mwanamke, akawabariki. Walipokwisha kuumbwa, akawaita “mwanadamu.”

3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat [a son] in his likeness after his image, —and called his name Seth:

Adamu alipokuwa ameishi miaka 130, alikuwa na mwana aliyekuwa na sura yake, mwenye kufanana naye. Akamwita Sethi.

4 and the days of Adam, after he begat Seth, were eight hundred years, and he begat sons and daughters.

Baada ya Sethi kuzaliwa, Adamu aliishi miaka 800, akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

5 So all the days of Adam which he lived, were nine hundred and thirty years, —and he died.

6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years, —and begat Enosh:

Sethi alipokuwa ameishi miaka 105, akamzaa Enoshi.

7 and Seth lived, after he begat Enosh, eight hundred and seven years, —and begat sons and daughters:

Baada ya kumzaa Enoshi, Sethi aliishi miaka 807, akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

8 and all the days of Seth were, nine hundred and I twelve years, —and he died.

Sethi aliishi jumla ya miaka 912, ndipo akafa.

9 And Enosh lived ninety years, —and begat Kenan;

Enoshi alipokuwa ameishi miaka tisini, akamzaa Kenani.

10 and Enosh lived after he begat Kenan, eight hundred and fifteen years, —and begat sons and daughters;

Baada ya kumzaa Kenani, Enoshi aliishi miaka 815, naye alikuwa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

11 and all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, —and he died.

Enoshi aliishi jumla ya miaka 905, ndipo akafa.

12 And Kenan, lived seventy years, —and begat Mahalalel;

Kenani alipokuwa ameishi miaka sabini, akamzaa Mahalaleli.

13 and Kenan lived after he begat Mahalalel, eight hundred and forty years, —and begat sons and daughters;

Baada ya kumzaa Mahalaleli, Kenani aliishi miaka 840, akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

14 and all the days of Kenan were, nine hundred and ten years, —and he died.

Kenani aliishi jumla ya miaka 910, ndipo akafa.

15 And Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, —and begat Jared;

Mahalaleli alipokuwa ameishi miaka sitini na mitano, akamzaa Yaredi.

16 and Mahalalel lived after he begat Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, —and begat sons and daughters;

Baada ya kumzaa Yaredi, Mahalaleli aliishi miaka 830, akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

17 and all the days of Mahalalel were, eight hundred and ninety-five years, —and he died.

Mahalaleli aliishi jumla ya miaka 895, ndipo akafa.

18 And Jared lived, a hundred and sixty-two years, and begat Enoch;

Yaredi alipokuwa ameishi miaka 162, akamzaa Enoki.

19 and Jared lived after he begat Enoch, eight hundred years, —and begat sons and daughters;

Baada ya kumzaa Enoki, Yaredi aliishi miaka 800, naye akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

20 and all the days of Jared were, nine hundred and sixty-two years, —and he died.

Yaredi aliishi jumla ya miaka 962, ndipo akafa.

21 And Enoch lived sixty-five years, —and begat Methuselah;

Enoki alipokuwa ameishi miaka sitini na mitano, akamzaa Methusela.

22 and Enoch walked with God, after he begat Methuselah, three hundred years, —and begat sons and daughters;

Baada ya kumzaa Methusela, Enoki alitembea na Mungu miaka 300, na akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

23 and all the days of Enoch were, three hundred and sixty-five years;

Enoki aliishi jumla ya miaka 365.

24 and Enoch walked with God, —and was not for God had taken him.

Enoki akatembea na Mungu, kisha akatoweka, kwa sababu Mungu alimchukua.

25 And Methuselah lived, a hundred and eighty-seven years, —and begat Lamech;

Methusela alipokuwa ameishi miaka 187, akamzaa Lameki.

26 and Methuselah lived, after he begat Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, —and begat sons and daughters;

Baada ya kumzaa Lameki, Methusela aliishi miaka 782, akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

27 and all the days of Methuselah were, nine hundred and sixty-nine years, —and he died.

Methusela aliishi jumla ya miaka 969, ndipo akafa.

28 And Lamech lived, a hundred and eighty-two years, —and begat a son;

Lameki alipokuwa ameishi miaka 182, alimzaa mwana.

29 and he called his name Noah saying, —This, one shall give us rest from our work, And from the grievous toil of our hands, By reason of the ground which Yahweh hath cursed,

Akamwita jina lake Noa, akasema, “Yeye ndiye atakayetufariji katika kazi na maumivu makali ya mikono yetu yaliyosababishwa na ardhi iliyolaaniwa na Bwana.”

30 And Lamech lived, after he begat Noah, five hundred and ninety-five years, —and begat sons and daughters;

Baada ya Noa kuzaliwa, Lameki aliishi miaka 595, akawa na watoto wengine wa kiume na wa kike.

31 and all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, —and he died.

Lameki aliishi jumla ya miaka 777, ndipo akafa.

32 And Noah was five hundred years old, —and Noah begat Shem, Ham and Japheth.

Baada ya Noa kuishi miaka 500, aliwazaa Shemu, Hamu na Yafethi.
