Genesis 49
1 Then called Jacob unto his sons, —and said—Gather yourselves together, and let me tell you, that which shall befall you in the afterpart of the days.
तब याकूबले आफ्ना छोराहरूलाई बोलाएर भनेः “तिमीहरू यहाँ जम्मा होओ, ताकि भविष्यमा तिमीहरूमाथि के आइपर्नेछ सो म तिमीहरूलाई भनूँ ।
2 Assemble yourselves and hear ye sons of Jacob, —And hearken unto Israel your father!
हे याकूबका छोरा हो, जम्मा भएर सुन, तिमीहरूका बुबा इस्राएलका कुरा सुन ।
3 Reuben, my first-born, thou, My vigour, and the first-fruit of my strength, —Pre-eminence of elevation and pre-eminence of power:
रूबेन, तँ मेरो जेठो छोरो होस्, मेरो शक्ति र मेरो बलको सुरु, गौरव र शक्तिमा उत्कृष्ट ।
4 Boiling over like water, thou mayest not have pre-eminence, Because thou didst mount the bed of thy father, —Then, wast thou profane—My marriage-bed, he mounted!
बग्ने पानीजस्तो चञ्चल, तेरो प्रतिष्ठा रहनेछैन, किनभने तँ तेरा बुबाको ओछ्यानमा चढिस् । अनि त्यसलाई अशुद्ध पारिस्; तँ मेरो पलङ्गमा चढ़िस् ।
5 Simeon and Levi, are brethren, —Instruments of violence, are their agreements:
शिमियोन र लेवी दाजुभाइ हुन् । हिंसाका हतियार नै तिनीहरूका तरवार हुन् ।
6 Into their circle, do not thou enter my soul! In their convocation, do not thou join mine honour! For in their anger, they slew brave men, And in their wantonness, they ham-strung oxen.
ए मेरो प्राण, तिनीहरूको सभामा नआइज, तिनीहरूको बैठकमा नबस् किनकि मेरो हृदयमा त्यसको निम्ति अत्यन्तै श्रद्धा छ । किनकि तिनीहरूलेआफ्नो रिसमा मानिसहरूलाई मारे । तिनीहरूले आफ्नो आनन्दको निम्ति गोरुहरूका ढोडनसा काटेका छन् ।
7 Accursed, be their anger, because fierce, And their wrath because cruel, —I divide them in Jacob, And I disperse them in Israel.
तिनीहरूको रिस श्रापित् होस्, किनभने त्यो भयानक छ, र तिनीहरूको क्रोध पनि श्रापित् होस् किनकि त्यो निष्ठुर छ । तिनीहरूलाई म याकूबमा विभाजन गर्नेछु, इस्राएलमा तितरबितर पार्नेछु ।
8 Judah, as for thee, thy brethren shall praise thee when thy hand is on the neck of thy foes, —The sons of thy father, shall bow them-selves down to thee:
ए यहूदा, तेरा दाजुभाइहरूले तेरो प्रशंसा गर्नेछन् । तेरा हात तेरा शत्रुहरूका गर्दनमा हुनेछन् । तेरा बुबाका छोराहरू तेरो सामुन्ने निहुरिनेछन् ।
9 A lion’s whelp, is Judah, From the prey, my son hast thou come up! He hath stooped—hath crouched As a lion—or as a lioness, Who shall rouse him?
यहूदा सिंहको डमरु हो । ए मेरो छोरो, तँ तेरो शिकारभन्दा उच्च भएको छस् । त्यो निहुरियो, सिंह र सिंहनीझैँ झुक्यो । कसले त्यसलाई उठाउने आँट गर्छ?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the commander’s staff from between his feet, —Until that he come in as a Shiloh, And, his, be the obedience of the peoples:
यहूदाको हातबाट राजदण्ड हट्नेछैन, न त राज्य चलाउनेको लाठी त्यसका खुट्टाका बिचबाट हट्नेछ, जबसम्म त्यसका मालिक आउँदैनन् । जातिहरूले उहाँको आज्ञा मान्नेछन् ।
11 Binding, to the vine, his ass, And to the choice vine his ass’s colt, He hath washed in wine his raiment, And in the blood of grapes, his mantle:
त्यसको गधालाई दाखको बोटमा, र गधाको बछेड़ोलाई चाहिँ उत्तम जातको हाँगामा बाँधेर त्यसले आफ्ना लुगाहरू दाखमद्यमा, आफ्ना पोशाक अङ्गुरको रसमा धुनेछ ।
12 Darker—his eyes, than wine, —Whiter—his teeth than milk!
त्यसका आँखा दाखमद्यजस्तै गाढा, र त्यसका दाँत दुधजस्ता सेता हुनेछन् ।
13 Zebulon, by a haven of seas, shall he settle down, —Even he, by a haven of ships, With his utmost part upon Zidon.
जबूलून समुद्रको किनारमा बस्नेछ । जहाजहरूका निम्ति त्यो बन्दरगाह हुनेछ, र त्यसको सिमाना सीदोनसम्म हुनेछ ।
14 Issachar, an ass of strength, —couching between the pens;
इस्साखार दुई भारीहरूका बिचमा लेटिरहने बलियो गधा हो ।
15 Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant, —So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.
जसले असल विश्रामको ठाउँ असल र रमाइलो देश देख्छ । त्यसले भारी बोक्नलाई आफ्नो काँध झुकाउनेछ, र काम गर्ने नोकर बन्नेछ ।
16 Dan, shall vindicate his people, —as one of the tribes of Israel;
इस्राएलका कुलमध्ये एउटा कुल भएर दानले आफ्ना मानिसहरूको न्याय गर्नेछ ।
17 It cometh to pass that, Dan, is a serpent upon the way, A horned viper, upon the path, —That biteth the heels of the horse, And his rider falleth backwards: —
दान बाटोको छेउमा भएको एउटा सर्प, अर्थात् घोडाको कुर्कुच्चा डस्ने विषालु सर्प हुनेछ र त्यसको घोडचढी पछिल्तिर लोट्छ ।
18 For thy salvation, have I waited O Yahweh!
हे परमप्रभु, म तपाईंको उद्धारको प्रतीक्षा गर्छु ।
19 Gad! a troop shall troop on him, —But, he, shall troop on the rear.
गादमाथि आक्रमण गर्नेले त्यसलाई आक्रमण गर्नेछ, तर त्यसले तिनीहरूको कुर्कुच्चामा आक्रमण गर्नेछ ।
20 Out of Asher, fatness, is his food, —So, he, setteth forth dainties for a king.
आशेरको अनाज प्रशस्त हुनेछ, र त्यसले राजकीय खाना उपलब्ध गराउनेछ ।
21 Naphtali, is a slender hind, —That putteth forth antlers of beauty.
नप्ताली सुन्दर पाठापाठी पाउने फुकाइएकी मुडुली-मृग हो ।
22 A fruitful bough, is Joseph, A fruitful bough over a fountain, —Branches creeping over a wall.
योसेफ एउटा फलवन्त लहरा हो, पानीको मूलनेर भएको फल दिने लहरा, जसका हाँगाहरू पर्खालमाथि फैलिन्छन् ।
23 So they attack him and have shot, —So they enclose him, do the masters of arrows.
धनुर्धारीहरूले त्यसलाई आक्रमण गर्नेछन् र त्यसमाथि काँड चलाउनेछन्, र त्यसलाई सताउनेछन् ।
24 But abideth, as an enduring one, his bow, And supple are the arms of his hands, —From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From thence, is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel:
तापनि त्यसको धनु स्थिर रहनेछ, र याकूबका शक्तिशाली परमेश्वरका हातको कारण र ती गोठाला अर्थात् इस्राएलको चट्टानद्वारा त्यसका हातहरू सिपालु हुनेछन्, ती गोठाला, इस्राएलको चट्टानद्वारा ।
25 From the GOD of thy father who doth help thee And GOD Almighty who doth bless thee, Blessings of the heavens, above, Blessings of the abyss, couching beneath, —Blessings of breasts and womb:
तेरा बुबाका परमेश्वरले तँलाई सहायता गर्नुहुन्छ, र सर्वशक्तिमान् परमेश्वरले माथि स्वर्गका आशिष्हरू, तल अगाधका आशिष्हरू, अनि स्तन र गर्भका आशिष्हरूले आशिषित्् तुल्याउनुहुनेछ ।
26 The blessings of thy father, have prevailed, Over the blessings of the perpetual mountains, The charm of the age-abiding hills, —They turn out to be, for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brethren.
तेरा बुबाका आशीर्वादहरू प्राचीन पहाडहरूका आशीर्वादभन्दा महान् छन् वा प्राचीन डाँडाहरूका वाञ्छनीय कुरा हुन्छन् । ती सबै योसेफको शिरमा होऊन्, त्यसका दाजुभाइहरूमध्येका प्रधानको शिरमा पनि ।
27 Benjamin a wolf that teareth in pieces, In the morning, he eateth prey, And at eventide, he divideth spoil.
बेन्यामीन एउटा भोको ब्वाँसो हो । बिहान त्यसले शिकार खान्छ, र बेलुकीचाहिँ त्यसले लुट बाँड्छ ।
28 All these, are the twelve tribes of Israel, —And this, is that which their father spake to them when he blessed them, Each man severally according to the blessing wherewith he blessed them.
यी इस्राएलका बाह्र कुल हुन् । आफ्ना बुबाले तिनीहरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिँदा भनेका कुरा यही हो । प्रत्येकलाई तिनले सुहाउँदो आशीर्वाद दिए ।
29 Then commanded he them and said unto them—I, am about to be gathered unto my people, Bury me among my fathers, —within the cave, that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite:
तब तिनले तिनीहरूलाई यो आज्ञा दिएर यसो भने “म त मेरा मानिसहरूकहाँ मिल्न जान लागेको छु । हित्ती एप्रोनको खेतमा भएको ओडारमा मेरा पिता-पुर्खाहरूका साथमा मलाई गाड,
30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah which is over against Mamre, in the land of Canaan, —which Abraham bought, along with the field, from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace: —
अर्थात् कनान देशमा मम्रेनेरको मक्पेलाको खेतमा भएको ओडार, जुन अब्राहामले हित्ती एप्रोनको हातबाट खेतसमेत चिहान बनाउनलाई किनेका थिए ।
31 There, buried they Abraham, and Sarah his wife, There, buried they Isaac, and Rebekah his wife, —And there, buried I Leah: —
उनीहरूले अब्राहाम र तिनकी पत्नी सारालाई त्यहीँ गाडे । त्यहीँ नै उनीहरूले इसहाक र तिनकी पत्नी रिबेकालाई पनि गाडे । त्यहीँ नै मैले लेआलाई गाडेँ ।
32 buying the field and the cave that is therein, from the sons of Heth.
त्यो खेत र त्यहाँ भएको ओडार हित्तीहरूको हातबाट किनिएको थियो ।”
33 So Jacob made an end of commanding his sons, and gathered up his feet into the couch, —and ceased to breathe and was gathered unto his people.
छोराहरूलाई यो आज्ञा दिइसकेपछि याकूबले आफ्ना खुट्टा ओछ्यानमा पसारेर आफ्नो प्राण त्यागे, र आफ्ना पिता-पुर्खाहरूसँग मिल्न गए ।
