Genesis 49
1 Then called Jacob unto his sons, —and said—Gather yourselves together, and let me tell you, that which shall befall you in the afterpart of the days.
१त्यानंतर याकोबाने आपल्या सर्व मुलांना आपल्याजवळ बोलावले, तो म्हणाला, “माझ्या मुलांनो, माझ्याजवळ या म्हणजे पुढील काळी तुमचे काय होईल, ते मी तुम्हास सांगतो.”
2 Assemble yourselves and hear ye sons of Jacob, —And hearken unto Israel your father!
२“याकोबाच्या मुलांनो, तुम्ही सर्व एकत्र या आणि ऐका, तुमचा बाप इस्राएल याचे ऐका.
3 Reuben, my first-born, thou, My vigour, and the first-fruit of my strength, —Pre-eminence of elevation and pre-eminence of power:
३रऊबेना, तू माझा पहिलाच म्हणजे थोरला मुलगा आहेस. पुरुष म्हणून माझ्यात असलेल्या शक्तीचा तू पहिला पुरावा आहेस, तू सर्वांपेक्षा अधिक शक्तीवान व सर्वांपेक्षा अधिक अभिमान वाटावा असा आहेस.
4 Boiling over like water, thou mayest not have pre-eminence, Because thou didst mount the bed of thy father, —Then, wast thou profane—My marriage-bed, he mounted!
४परंतु तुझ्या भावना पुराच्या पाण्याच्या अनावर व चंचल लाटांप्रमाणे आहेत. कारण तू आपल्या वडिलाच्या पलंगावर गेलास व त्याच्या बिछान्यावर जाऊन तो अशुद्ध केलास.”
5 Simeon and Levi, are brethren, —Instruments of violence, are their agreements:
५“शिमोन व लेवी हे सख्खे भाऊ आहेत. या दोन भावांना तलवारीने लढण्याची आवड आहे.
6 Into their circle, do not thou enter my soul! In their convocation, do not thou join mine honour! For in their anger, they slew brave men, And in their wantonness, they ham-strung oxen.
६माझ्या जिवा, त्यांच्या गुप्त मसलतींमध्ये गुंतू नको; त्यांच्या गुप्त बैठकांमध्ये सामील होऊ नको, त्यांचे हे बेत माझ्या जिवाला मान्य नाहीत. त्यांनी त्यांच्या रागाच्या भरात पुरुषांची कत्तल केली. आपल्या रागाने बैलांच्या पायांच्या शिरा तोडल्या.
7 Accursed, be their anger, because fierce, And their wrath because cruel, —I divide them in Jacob, And I disperse them in Israel.
७त्यांचा राग शाप आहे, ते अति रागाने वेडे होतात. तेव्हा अतिशय क्रूर बनतात. मी त्यांना याकोबात विभागीन, ते सर्व इस्राएल देशभर पसरतील.
8 Judah, as for thee, thy brethren shall praise thee when thy hand is on the neck of thy foes, —The sons of thy father, shall bow them-selves down to thee:
८यहूदा, तुझे भाऊ तुझी स्तुती करतील. तुझा हात तुझ्या शत्रूंच्या मानेवर राहील. तुझ्या पित्याची मुले तुला लवून नमन करतील.
9 A lion’s whelp, is Judah, From the prey, my son hast thou come up! He hath stooped—hath crouched As a lion—or as a lioness, Who shall rouse him?
९यहूदा सिंहाचा छावा आहे. माझ्या मुला, तू शिकारीपासून वरपर्यंत गेलास. तो खाली वाकला आहे, तो सिंहासारखा, सिंहिणीसारखा दबा धरून बसला आहे. त्यास उठवण्याचे धाडस कोण करील?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the commander’s staff from between his feet, —Until that he come in as a Shiloh, And, his, be the obedience of the peoples:
१०शिलो येईपर्यंत यहूदाकडून राजवेत्र जाणार नाही, किंवा अधिकाराची काठी त्याच्या पायामधून निघून जाणार नाही. राष्ट्रे त्याच्या आज्ञा पाळतील.
11 Binding, to the vine, his ass, And to the choice vine his ass’s colt, He hath washed in wine his raiment, And in the blood of grapes, his mantle:
११तो त्याचा तरुण घोडा द्राक्षवेलीस, आणि त्याचे शिंगरु खास द्राक्षवेलीस बांधेल. त्याने त्याचे वस्त्र द्राक्षरसात आणि आपला झगा द्राक्षांच्या रक्तात धुतला आहे.
12 Darker—his eyes, than wine, —Whiter—his teeth than milk!
१२त्याचे डोळे द्राक्षरसापेक्षा अधिक लालबुंद होतील. त्याचे दात दूधापेक्षा अधिक सफेद होतील.
13 Zebulon, by a haven of seas, shall he settle down, —Even he, by a haven of ships, With his utmost part upon Zidon.
१३जबुलून समुद्र किनाऱ्याजवळ राहिल. तो जहाजासाठी सुरक्षित बंदर होईल. त्याच्या जमिनीची हद्द सीदोन नगरापर्यंत असेल.”
14 Issachar, an ass of strength, —couching between the pens;
१४“इस्साखार बळकट गाढव आहे. तो मेंढवाड्यांच्यामध्ये दबून बसला आहे.
15 Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant, —So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.
१५आपले विसावा घेण्याचे ठिकाण चांगले आहे, आपला देश आनंददायक आहे असे त्याने पाहिले, आणि मग जड बोजा वाहून नेण्यास व अगदी गुलामाप्रमाणे काम करण्यास तो तयार झाला.
16 Dan, shall vindicate his people, —as one of the tribes of Israel;
१६इस्राएलाचा एक वंश या नात्याने दान आपल्या लोकांचा न्याय करील.
17 It cometh to pass that, Dan, is a serpent upon the way, A horned viper, upon the path, —That biteth the heels of the horse, And his rider falleth backwards: —
१७तो रस्त्याच्या कडेला असणाऱ्या सापाप्रमाणे, वाटेच्या कडेला पडून असलेल्या भयंकर नागाप्रमाणे होईल. तो घोड्याच्या टाचेला दंश करील. त्यामुळे घोडेस्वार घोड्यावरून मागे कोसळेल.
18 For thy salvation, have I waited O Yahweh!
१८हे परमेश्वरा, तुझ्याकडून उद्धार होण्याची मी वाट पाहत आहे.
19 Gad! a troop shall troop on him, —But, he, shall troop on the rear.
१९गाद-लुटारूंची टोळी त्याच्यावर हल्ला करेल, परंतु तो त्यांच्या पार्श्वभागावर हल्ला करून त्यांना पळवून लावील.
20 Out of Asher, fatness, is his food, —So, he, setteth forth dainties for a king.
२०आशेराचे अन्न समृद्ध होईल आणि तो राजाला योग्य असे शाही अन्नपदार्थ पुरवील.
21 Naphtali, is a slender hind, —That putteth forth antlers of beauty.
२१नफताली मोकळ्या सुटलेल्या हरीणीप्रमाणे आहे. त्याचे बोलणे गोड असेल.
22 A fruitful bough, is Joseph, A fruitful bough over a fountain, —Branches creeping over a wall.
२२योसेफ हा फलदायी फाट्यासारखा आहे. तो ओढ्याकाठी वाढणाऱ्या द्राक्षवेलीसारखा आहे. त्याच्या फांद्या भिंतीवर चढून पसरल्या आहेत.
23 So they attack him and have shot, —So they enclose him, do the masters of arrows.
२३तिरंदाजांनी त्याच्यावर हल्ला केला. आणि त्यास तीर मारले व त्यास त्रास दिला.
24 But abideth, as an enduring one, his bow, And supple are the arms of his hands, —From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From thence, is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel:
२४तरी त्याचे धनुष्य मजबूत राहील, आणि त्याचे बाहु कुशल होतील याकोबाचा सामर्थ्यवान देव, मेंढपाळ, इस्राएलाचा खडक याजकडून त्याच्या हातांना शक्ती मिळते.
25 From the GOD of thy father who doth help thee And GOD Almighty who doth bless thee, Blessings of the heavens, above, Blessings of the abyss, couching beneath, —Blessings of breasts and womb:
२५कारण तुझ्या बापाचा देव, जो तुला मदत करील, आणि सर्वशक्तिमान देवामुळे, जो तुला वरून आकाशाचे आशीर्वाद, खाली खोल दरीचे आशीर्वाद देवो, तसेच स्तनांचा व गर्भाशयांच्या उपजांचा आशीर्वाद तो तुला देवो.
26 The blessings of thy father, have prevailed, Over the blessings of the perpetual mountains, The charm of the age-abiding hills, —They turn out to be, for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brethren.
२६तुझ्या बापाचे आशीर्वाद माझ्या पूर्वजांच्या आशीर्वादापेक्षा मोठे होतील, अथवा सर्वकाळ टिकून राहणाऱ्या डोंगरांपासून प्राप्त होणाऱ्या इच्छित वस्तुंहून श्रेष्ठ होतील. ते योसेफाच्या मस्तकावर, जो आपल्या भावांमध्ये राजपुत्र त्याच्या मस्तकावर आशीर्वाद असे राहतील.
27 Benjamin a wolf that teareth in pieces, In the morning, he eateth prey, And at eventide, he divideth spoil.
२७बन्यामीन हा भुकेला लांडगा आहे. तो सकाळी आपले भक्ष्य मारून खाईल, आणि संध्याकाळी तो लूट वाटून घेईल.”
28 All these, are the twelve tribes of Israel, —And this, is that which their father spake to them when he blessed them, Each man severally according to the blessing wherewith he blessed them.
२८हे सर्व इस्राएलाचे बारा वंश होत. त्यांच्या वडिलाने आशीर्वाद देऊन त्यांना म्हटले ते हेच. त्याने प्रत्येकाला ज्याच्या त्याच्या योग्यतेप्रमाणे आशीर्वाद दिला.
29 Then commanded he them and said unto them—I, am about to be gathered unto my people, Bury me among my fathers, —within the cave, that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite:
२९मग त्याने त्यांना आज्ञा दिली आणि त्यांना म्हणाला, “मी आता माझ्या लोकांकडे जात आहे. एफ्रोन हित्ती ह्याच्या शेतातील गुहेत माझ्या पूर्वजांबरोबर मला पुरावे,
30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah which is over against Mamre, in the land of Canaan, —which Abraham bought, along with the field, from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace: —
३०ती गुहा कनान देशात मम्रेजवळील मकपेलाच्या शेतात आहे, आपल्या घराण्याला पुरण्याची जागा असावी म्हणून अब्राहामाने ते शेत एफ्रोन हित्ती याच्याकडून विकत घेतले.
31 There, buried they Abraham, and Sarah his wife, There, buried they Isaac, and Rebekah his wife, —And there, buried I Leah: —
३१अब्राहाम व त्याची पत्नी सारा, यांना त्या गुहेत पुरले आहे; इसहाक आणि त्याची पत्नी रिबका यांनाही तेथेच पुरले आहे; आणि माझी पत्नी लेआ हिलाही मी तेथेच पुरले आहे.
32 buying the field and the cave that is therein, from the sons of Heth.
३२ते शेत व ती गुहा हेथी लोकांकडून विकत घेतलेली आहे.”
33 So Jacob made an end of commanding his sons, and gathered up his feet into the couch, —and ceased to breathe and was gathered unto his people.
३३आपल्या मुलांशी हे बोलणे संपवल्यानंतर याकोबाने आपले पाय पलंगावर जवळ ओढून घेतले व मरण पावला, आणि तो आपल्या पूर्वजांकडे गेला.
