< Genesis 49 >

1 Then called Jacob unto his sons, —and said—Gather yourselves together, and let me tell you, that which shall befall you in the afterpart of the days.
Le kinanji’ Iakòbe o ana’eo, vaho nanao ty hoe, Miropaha amako etoy, ho talilieko ze hifetsak’ ama’ areo amo andro añeo.
2 Assemble yourselves and hear ye sons of Jacob, —And hearken unto Israel your father!
Mivoria vaho mitsanoña, ry ana’ Iakòbe; tsendreño Israele rae’areo.
3 Reuben, my first-born, thou, My vigour, and the first-fruit of my strength, —Pre-eminence of elevation and pre-eminence of power:
O Reòbene, tañoloñoloñako irehe, ty haozarako naho ty loha-voan-kafatrarako, mininginingy an-dohàñe, miligiligy am-panjofahañe.
4 Boiling over like water, thou mayest not have pre-eminence, Because thou didst mount the bed of thy father, —Then, wast thou profane—My marriage-bed, he mounted!
mihalingaliñe hoe rano, tsy hionjoñe ka, amy te nanganiha’o ty fandrean-drae’o; nitivàeñe—ie nijoñe an-tihiko eo!
5 Simeon and Levi, are brethren, —Instruments of violence, are their agreements:
Miharo-foetse t’i Simone naho i Levy; haraom-piaroteñe o fialia’ iareoo.
6 Into their circle, do not thou enter my soul! In their convocation, do not thou join mine honour! For in their anger, they slew brave men, And in their wantonness, they ham-strung oxen.
Ee te tsy hitrao-pikinia’ am’iareo ty troko, Lonike te tsy hirekets’ am-pivori’iareo ty asiko, Fa an-kabosehañe ty namonoa’iareo ondaty, Naho an-tsatri’ iareo ro namirasintake añombe,
7 Accursed, be their anger, because fierce, And their wrath because cruel, —I divide them in Jacob, And I disperse them in Israel.
Hafàtse ty haboseha’iareo, amy te mandoviake, naho ty fiforoforoa’iareo, amy te manitra! Ho zaraeko am’ Iakòbe ao iereo, vaho hampiparaitaheko e Israele ao.
8 Judah, as for thee, thy brethren shall praise thee when thy hand is on the neck of thy foes, —The sons of thy father, shall bow them-selves down to thee:
O Iehodà, mandrenge azo o rahalahi’oo; An-trehon-drafelahi’o ty fità’o; Milokoloko ama’o o ana-dahin-drae’oo.
9 A lion’s whelp, is Judah, From the prey, my son hast thou come up! He hath stooped—hath crouched As a lion—or as a lioness, Who shall rouse him?
Ana-diona t’Iehodà; Nitsàtsa irehe le nitroatse. Mitsakononoke eo re, mangolotoke hoe liona, hoe liona-vave, ia ty hampitsekak’ aze?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the commander’s staff from between his feet, —Until that he come in as a Shiloh, And, his, be the obedience of the peoples:
Tsy hipitsok’ am’ Iehodà ty kobain-drazañe, ndra ty fitoñom-panjaka añivo’ o fandia’eo, ampara’ ty fitotsaha’ i Talè’ey vaho ie ty hivohora’ o kilakila’ndatio.
11 Binding, to the vine, his ass, And to the choice vine his ass’s colt, He hath washed in wine his raiment, And in the blood of grapes, his mantle:
Vahora’e am-bahe ty borìke’e tarabao, naho ty ana-borìke’e am-bahe miloeloe, le sinasa’e an-divay o siki’eo, naho o saro’eo an-diom-balobok’ ao;
12 Darker—his eyes, than wine, —Whiter—his teeth than milk!
Menae’ ty divay o maso’eo, vaho hafotin-dronono ty nife’e.
13 Zebulon, by a haven of seas, shall he settle down, —Even he, by a haven of ships, With his utmost part upon Zidon.
Hitoetse añolon-driake t’i Zebolone ho fitolian-dakañe, hiefetse amy Tsidòne añe.
14 Issachar, an ass of strength, —couching between the pens;
Borìke maozatse t’Isakare miondrek’ añivon-kilankañe roe,
15 Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant, —So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.
Naheo’e te soa i fitofàñey naho te naindoñindoñe i taney, aa le nabokoboko’e o soro’eo hinday vaho ninjare nitoroñe haba.
16 Dan, shall vindicate his people, —as one of the tribes of Israel;
Hizaka ondati’eo t’i Dane, Kanao mpiamo foko Israeleo.
17 It cometh to pass that, Dan, is a serpent upon the way, A horned viper, upon the path, —That biteth the heels of the horse, And his rider falleth backwards: —
Ho mereñe an-dalañe eo t’i Dane, menarà mandiñe an-dalan-tsileke eo, Mpihehetse tomin-tsovala Hampitafatsilañelañe i piningi’ey.
18 For thy salvation, have I waited O Yahweh!
Mandiñe ty fandrombaha’o raho ry Iehovà.
19 Gad! a troop shall troop on him, —But, he, shall troop on the rear.
Haname i Gade ty fifañosoñañe, Fa hihoridaña’e an-tomi’e.
20 Out of Asher, fatness, is his food, —So, he, setteth forth dainties for a king.
Boak’amy Asere ty mahakama matave, hazotso’e ty hafiriam-panjakay.
21 Naphtali, is a slender hind, —That putteth forth antlers of beauty.
Renem-panaloke nampidadañe t’i Naftaly, mitaroñe razan-tsaontsy.
22 A fruitful bough, is Joseph, A fruitful bough over a fountain, —Branches creeping over a wall.
Tirin-katae mamoa t’Iosefe, toran-katae miregorego añ’olon-drano manganahana; mamokon-kijoly o tora’eo.
23 So they attack him and have shot, —So they enclose him, do the masters of arrows.
Nampioje aze an-kafairañe o mpitàm-paleo; Hiniriri’iareo ana-pale fa nalaiñe aze.
24 But abideth, as an enduring one, his bow, And supple are the arms of his hands, —From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From thence, is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel:
Fe nitan-kaozarañe i fale’ey vaho nampigañe’ o fitàn-Tsitongerè’ Iakòbeo, o siram-pità’eo, Boak’ ao ty Mpiarake, i Lamilami’ Israeley,
25 From the GOD of thy father who doth help thee And GOD Almighty who doth bless thee, Blessings of the heavens, above, Blessings of the abyss, couching beneath, —Blessings of breasts and womb:
hirik’ aman’ Añaharen-drae’o mpañimb’azoy, naho amy El-Sadai mpitahy azo, amo fitahia’ i andikerañe amboneio, amo fitahia’ i laleke mandre ambane aoio, amo fitahiam-patroa naho hoviñeo.
26 The blessings of thy father, have prevailed, Over the blessings of the perpetual mountains, The charm of the age-abiding hills, —They turn out to be, for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brethren.
Maozatse te ami’ty tata’ o vohitse tsy modoo o tatan-drae’oo, Pak’ añ’efe’ o haboañe nainai’eo ty ho an-kevo’ Iosefe, naho añambone’ i naambake amo rahalahi’eoy
27 Benjamin a wolf that teareth in pieces, In the morning, he eateth prey, And at eventide, he divideth spoil.
Farasy romotse t’i Beniamine, maraiñe re mampibotseke ty nitsatsà’e, haleñe re mandiva o kinopa’eo.
28 All these, are the twelve tribes of Israel, —And this, is that which their father spake to them when he blessed them, Each man severally according to the blessing wherewith he blessed them.
I tsaraeñe rezay ro fifokoa folo-ro’ ambi’ Israele, le i saontsieñey ro nafèn-drae’ iareo t’ie nitata; toe songa nitatae’e an-tata mañeva.
29 Then commanded he them and said unto them—I, am about to be gathered unto my people, Bury me among my fathers, —within the cave, that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite:
Le hoe ty nafè’e am’iereo: Fa antitotse te hifanontoñe am’ ondatikoo iraho. Aleveño aman-droaeko an-dakato an-tete’ i Efrone nte-Khete ao
30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah which is over against Mamre, in the land of Canaan, —which Abraham bought, along with the field, from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace: —
amy lakato an-tonda’ i Makpelà, aolo’ i Mamrè, an-tane Kanàne añe, vinili’ i Avrahame reketse tonda amy Efrone nte-Khete ho tanen-donake ho azey.
31 There, buried they Abraham, and Sarah his wife, There, buried they Isaac, and Rebekah his wife, —And there, buried I Leah: —
Tao ty nandentehañe i Avrahame naho i Sarà vali’e le ty nandentehañe Ietsàke naho i vali’e Ribkae, vaho tao ty nandeveñako i Leae
32 buying the field and the cave that is therein, from the sons of Heth.
I tetekey naho i lakato ama’ey ty vinily amo ana’ i Kheteo.
33 So Jacob made an end of commanding his sons, and gathered up his feet into the couch, —and ceased to breathe and was gathered unto his people.
Ie nagado’ Iakòbe i nafè’e amo ana’eoy, le naonjo’e am-pandrea’e o fandia’eo le nikofòke fara’e vaho natontoñe am’ ondati’eo.
