Genesis 49
1 Then called Jacob unto his sons, —and said—Gather yourselves together, and let me tell you, that which shall befall you in the afterpart of the days.
১পরে যাকোব নিজের ছেলেদেরকে ডেকে বললেন, “তোমরা এক জায়গায় জড়ো হও, পরবর্তীকালে তোমাদের প্রতি যা ঘটবে, তা তোমাদেরকে বলছি।”
2 Assemble yourselves and hear ye sons of Jacob, —And hearken unto Israel your father!
২যাকোবের ছেলেরা, সমবেত হও, শোন, তোমাদের বাবা ইস্রায়েলের বাক্য শোন।
3 Reuben, my first-born, thou, My vigour, and the first-fruit of my strength, —Pre-eminence of elevation and pre-eminence of power:
৩রুবেন, তুমি আমার প্রথমজাত, আমার বল আমার শক্তির প্রথম ফল মহিমার প্রাধান্য ও পরাক্রমের প্রাধান্য।
4 Boiling over like water, thou mayest not have pre-eminence, Because thou didst mount the bed of thy father, —Then, wast thou profane—My marriage-bed, he mounted!
৪তুমি [তপ্ত] জলের মতো চঞ্চল, তোমার প্রাধান্য থাকবে না; কারণ তুমি নিজের বাবার বিছানায় গিয়েছিলে; তখন অপবিত্র কাজ করেছিলে; সে আমার বিছানায় গিয়েছিল।
5 Simeon and Levi, are brethren, —Instruments of violence, are their agreements:
৫শিমিয়োন ও লেবি দুই ভাই; তাদের খড়গ দৌরাত্ম্যের অস্ত্র।
6 Into their circle, do not thou enter my soul! In their convocation, do not thou join mine honour! For in their anger, they slew brave men, And in their wantonness, they ham-strung oxen.
৬হে আমার প্রাণ! তাঁদের সভায় যেও না; হে আমার গৌরব! তাদের সমাজে যোগ দিও না; করণ তারা রাগে নরহত্যা করল, স্বেচ্ছাচারীতায় ষাঁড়ের শিরা ছেদন করল।
7 Accursed, be their anger, because fierce, And their wrath because cruel, —I divide them in Jacob, And I disperse them in Israel.
৭অভিশপ্ত তাদের রাগ, কারণ তা প্রচণ্ড; তাদের কোপ, কারণ তা নিষ্ঠুর; আমি তাঁদেরকে যাকোবের মধ্যে বিভাগ করব, ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে ছিন্নভিন্ন করব।
8 Judah, as for thee, thy brethren shall praise thee when thy hand is on the neck of thy foes, —The sons of thy father, shall bow them-selves down to thee:
৮যিহূদা, তোমার ভায়েরা তোমারই স্তব করবে; তোমার হাত তোমার শত্রুদের ঘাড় ধরবে; তোমার বাবার ছেলেরা তোমার সামনে নত হবে।
9 A lion’s whelp, is Judah, From the prey, my son hast thou come up! He hath stooped—hath crouched As a lion—or as a lioness, Who shall rouse him?
৯যিহূদা সিংহশাবক; বৎস, তুমি শিকার থেকে উঠে আসলে; সে শুয়ে পড়ল, গুঁড়ি মারল, সিংহের মতো ও সিংহীর মতো; কে তাঁকে উঠাবে?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the commander’s staff from between his feet, —Until that he come in as a Shiloh, And, his, be the obedience of the peoples:
১০যিহূদা থেকে রাজদণ্ড যাবে না, তার পায়ের মধ্যে থেকে বিচারদন্ড যাবে না, যে পর্যন্ত শীলো না আসেন; জাতিরা তাঁরই আজ্ঞাবহতা স্বীকার করবে।
11 Binding, to the vine, his ass, And to the choice vine his ass’s colt, He hath washed in wine his raiment, And in the blood of grapes, his mantle:
১১সে আঙ্গুর গাছে নিজের গাধী বাঁধবে, ভালো আঙ্গুর গাছে নিজের বাচ্চা ঘোড়া বাঁধবে; সে আঙ্গুর রসে নিজের পরিচ্ছদ কেচেছে, আঙ্গুরের রক্তে নিজের কাপড় কেচেছে।
12 Darker—his eyes, than wine, —Whiter—his teeth than milk!
১২তার চোখ আঙ্গুর রসে রক্তবর্ণ, তার দাঁত দুধে সাদা রঙের।
13 Zebulon, by a haven of seas, shall he settle down, —Even he, by a haven of ships, With his utmost part upon Zidon.
১৩সবূলূন সমুদ্রতীরে বাস করবে, তা জাহাজের জন্য বন্দর হবে, সীদোন পর্যন্ত তার সীমা হবে।
14 Issachar, an ass of strength, —couching between the pens;
১৪ইষাখর বলবান গাধা, সে দুটি ভেড়ার খোঁয়াড়ের মধ্যে শয়ন করে।
15 Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant, —So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.
১৫সে দেখল, বিশ্রামের জায়গা ভালো, দেখল, এই দেশ আনন্দময়, তাই ভার বহন করতে কাঁধ পেতে দিল, আর করাধীন দাস হল।
16 Dan, shall vindicate his people, —as one of the tribes of Israel;
১৬দান নিজের প্রজাদের বিচার করবে, ইস্রায়েলের এক বংশের মতো।
17 It cometh to pass that, Dan, is a serpent upon the way, A horned viper, upon the path, —That biteth the heels of the horse, And his rider falleth backwards: —
১৭দান পথে অবস্থিত সাপ, সে মার্গে অবস্থিত বিষাক্ত সাপ, যে ঘোড়ার পায়ে দংশন করে, আর আরোহী পিছনে পড়ে যায়।
18 For thy salvation, have I waited O Yahweh!
১৮সদাপ্রভু আমি তোমার পরিত্রানের অপেক্ষায় আছি।
19 Gad! a troop shall troop on him, —But, he, shall troop on the rear.
১৯গাদকে সৈন্যদল আঘাত করবে; কিন্তু সে তাদের পিছন দিকে আঘাত করবে।
20 Out of Asher, fatness, is his food, —So, he, setteth forth dainties for a king.
২০আশের থেকে অতি ভালো খাবার জন্মাবে; সে রাজার সুস্বাদু খাদ্য জুগিয়ে দেবে।
21 Naphtali, is a slender hind, —That putteth forth antlers of beauty.
২১নপ্তালি মুক্ত হরিণী, সে মনোহর বাক্য বলে।
22 A fruitful bough, is Joseph, A fruitful bough over a fountain, —Branches creeping over a wall.
২২যোষেফ ফলবান গাছের শাখা, জলপ্রবাহের পাশে অবস্থিত ফলবান গাছের শাখা; তার শাখা সকল পাঁচিল অতিক্রম করে।
23 So they attack him and have shot, —So they enclose him, do the masters of arrows.
২৩ধনুকধারীরা তাকে কঠিন কষ্ট দিয়েছিল, বাণের আঘাতে তাকে উৎপীড়ন করেছিল;
24 But abideth, as an enduring one, his bow, And supple are the arms of his hands, —From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From thence, is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel:
২৪কিন্তু তার ধনুক দৃঢ় থাকল, তার হাতের বাহুযুগল বলবান থাকল, যাকোবের একবীরের হাতের মাধ্যমে, যিনি ইস্রায়েলের পালক ও শৈল, তাঁর মাধ্যমে,
25 From the GOD of thy father who doth help thee And GOD Almighty who doth bless thee, Blessings of the heavens, above, Blessings of the abyss, couching beneath, —Blessings of breasts and womb:
২৫তোমার পিতার সেই ঈশ্বরের মাধ্যমে, যিনি তোমাকে সাহায্য করবেন, সেই সর্বশক্তিমানের মাধ্যমে, যিনি তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করবেন, উপরে অবস্থিত আকাশ থেকে নিঃসৃত আশীর্বাদে, অধোবিস্তীর্ণ জলধি থেকে নিঃসৃত আশীর্বাদে, স্তন ও গর্ভ থেকে নিঃসৃত আশীর্বাদে।
26 The blessings of thy father, have prevailed, Over the blessings of the perpetual mountains, The charm of the age-abiding hills, —They turn out to be, for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brethren.
২৬আমার পূর্বপুরুষদের আশীর্বাদ অপেক্ষা তোমার পিতামহর আশীর্বাদের থেকে উৎকৃষ্ট। তা চিরন্তন গিরিমালার সীমা পর্যন্ত ব্যাপ্ত; তা আসবে যোষেফের মাথায়, ভাইদের থেকে পৃথককৃতের মাথার তালুতে।
27 Benjamin a wolf that teareth in pieces, In the morning, he eateth prey, And at eventide, he divideth spoil.
২৭বিন্যামীন ক্ষুধার্ত নেকড়ের সমান; সকালে সে শিকার খাবে, সন্ধ্যাকালে সে লুটের জিনিস ভাগ করবে।
28 All these, are the twelve tribes of Israel, —And this, is that which their father spake to them when he blessed them, Each man severally according to the blessing wherewith he blessed them.
২৮এরা সবাই ইস্রায়েলের বারো বংশ; এদের বাবা আশীর্বাদ করবার দিনের এই কথা বললেন; এদের প্রত্যেক জনকে বিশেষ বিশেষ আশীর্বাদ করলেন।
29 Then commanded he them and said unto them—I, am about to be gathered unto my people, Bury me among my fathers, —within the cave, that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite:
২৯পরে যাকোব তাঁদেরকে আদেশ দিয়ে বললেন, আমি নিজের লোকদের কাছে সংগৃহীত হতে প্রস্তুত। হেতীয় ইফ্রোণের ক্ষেতে অবস্থিত গুহাতে আমার পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে আমার কবর দিও;
30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah which is over against Mamre, in the land of Canaan, —which Abraham bought, along with the field, from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace: —
৩০সেই গুহা কনান দেশে মম্রির কাছে মকপেলা ক্ষেত্রে অবস্থিত; আব্রাহাম হেতীয় ইফ্রোণের কাছে তা কবরস্থানের অধিকারের জন্য কিনেছিলেন।
31 There, buried they Abraham, and Sarah his wife, There, buried they Isaac, and Rebekah his wife, —And there, buried I Leah: —
৩১সেই জায়গায় অব্রাহামের ও তাঁর স্ত্রী সারার কবর হয়েছে, সেই জায়গায় ইসহাকের ও তাঁর স্ত্রী রিবিকার কবর হয়েছে এবং সেই স্থানে আমিও লেয়ার কবর দিয়েছি;
32 buying the field and the cave that is therein, from the sons of Heth.
৩২সেই ক্ষেত্রে ও তাঁর মধ্যবর্ত্তী গুহা হেতের লোকদের কাছে কেনা হয়েছিল।
33 So Jacob made an end of commanding his sons, and gathered up his feet into the couch, —and ceased to breathe and was gathered unto his people.
৩৩যাকোব নিজের ছেলেদের প্রতি আদেশ শেষ করলে পর শয্যাতে দুই পা জড়ো করলেন ও প্রাণত্যাগ করে নিজের লোকদের কাছে ফিরে গেলেন।
