Genesis 46
1 So Israel brake up, with all that he had, and came in to Beer-sheba, —and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
૧ઇઝરાયલ પોતાના કુટુંબકબીલા અને સર્વ સહિત બેરશેબા આવ્યો. અહીં તેણે પોતાના પિતા ઇસહાકના ઈશ્વરને અર્પણો ચઢાવ્યાં.
2 And God said to Israel in the visions of the night, and he said—Jacob! Jacob! And he said—Behold me!
૨ઈશ્વરે ઇઝરાયલને રાત્રે સ્વપ્નમાં સંદર્શન આપીને કહ્યું, “યાકૂબ, યાકૂબ.” તેણે કહ્યું, “હું અહીં છું.”
3 And he said: I, am GOD himself, the God of thy father, —Be not afraid of going down to Egypt, seeing that for a great nation, will I plant thee there.
૩તેમણે કહ્યું, “હું પ્રભુ, તારા પિતાનો ઈશ્વર છું. મિસરમાં જતા બીશ નહિ, કેમ કે ત્યાં હું તારાથી વિશાળ પ્રજા ઉત્પન્ન કરીશ.
4 I will go down with thee to Egypt, and I will bring thee up, yea wholly up, —and, Joseph, shall lay his own hand upon thine eyes.
૪હું તારી સાથે મિસરમાં આવીશ અને હું ત્યાંથી નિશ્ચે તારા વંશજોને પાછા લાવીશ. મિસરમાં તારા મૃત્યુસમયે યૂસફ તારી પાસે હશે.”
5 So Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba, —and the sons of Israel brought Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the waggons which Pharaoh had sent to bring him;
૫યાકૂબ બેરશેબાથી રવાના થયો. તેને લઈ જવાને જે ગાડાં ફારુને મોકલ્યાં હતાં તેમાં ઇઝરાયલના પુત્રોએ પોતાના પિતા યાકૂબને, પોતાના બાળકોને તથા પોતાની પત્નીઓને બેસાડ્યાં.
6 and they took their cattle and the gains which they had gained in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, —Jacob and all his seed with him:
૬તેમનાં જાનવરો તથા જે સંપત્તિ તેઓએ કનાન દેશમાં મેળવી હતી તે લઈને યાકૂબ તથા તેની સાથે તેના વંશજો મિસરમાં આવ્યા.
7 his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed, brought he with him into Egypt.
૭તેના દીકરા તથા તેની સાથે તેના દીકરાના દીકરા, તેની દીકરીઓ તથા તેના દીકરાઓની દીકરીઓને તથા તેના સર્વ સંતાનને તે તેની સાથે મિસરમાં લાવ્યો.
8 Now, these, are the names of the sons of Israel who came into Egypt—Jacob and his sons, —the firstborn of Jacob, Reuben:
૮જે ઇઝરાયલપુત્રો મિસરમાં આવ્યા તેઓનાં નામ આ છે: યાકૂબ તથા તેના દીકરા: યાકૂબનો જ્યેષ્ઠ દીકરો રુબેન;
9 And, the sons of Reuben, —Hanoch and Pallu, and Hezron and Carmi;
૯રુબેનના દીકરા: હનોખ, પાલ્લૂ, હેસ્રોન તથા કાર્મી;
10 And, the sons of Simeon, —Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar, —and Shaul, son of the Canaanitess;
૧૦શિમયોન તથા તેના દીકરા: યમુએલ, યામીન, ઓહાદ, યાખીન, સોહાર તથા કનાની પત્નીનો દીકરો શાઉલ;
11 And the sons of Levi, —Gershon, Kohath and Merari;
૧૧લેવી તથા તેના દીકરા: ગેર્શોન, કહાથ તથા મરારી.
12 And the sons of Judah, —Er and Onan and Shelah, and Perez and Zerah, —but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul;
૧૨યહૂદા તથા તેના દીકરા: એર, ઓનાન, શેલા, પેરેસ તથા ઝેરાહ, પણ એર તથા ઓનાન કનાન દેશમાં મરણ પામ્યા. પેરેસના દીકરા હેસ્રોન તથા હામૂલ હતા;
13 And, the sons of Issachar, —Tola and Puvah, and Iob and Shimron;
૧૩ઇસ્સાખાર તથા તેના દીકરા: તોલા, પુવાહ, લોબ તથા શિમ્રોન;
14 And the sons of Zebulon, —Sered and Elon, and Jahleel.
૧૪ઝબુલોન તથા તેના દીકરા: સેરેદ, એલોન તથા યાહલેલ.
15 These, are the sons of Leah whom she bare to Jacob in Padan-aram, with Dinah also his daughter, —All the souls of his sons and of his daughters, were thirty-three.
૧૫યાકૂબને લેઆથી પાદ્દાનારામમાં જન્મેલા દીકરા તથા તેની દીકરી દીના. તેઓ સર્વ મળીને તેત્રીસ જણ હતાં.
16 And, the sons of Gad, —Zaphon and Haggi, Shuni and Ezbon, —Eri and Arodi and Areli;
૧૬ગાદ તથા તેના દીકરા: સિફયોન, હાગ્ગી, શૂની, એસ્બોન, એરી, અરોદી તથા આરએલી;
17 And, the sons of Asher, —Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah, and Serah their sister, —and the sons of Beriah, Heber and Malchiel.
૧૭આશેર તથા તેના દીકરા: યિમ્ના, યિશ્વા, યિશ્વી, બરિયા તથા તેઓની બહેન સેરાહ; અને બરિયાના દીકરા: હેબેર તથા માલ્કીએલ.
18 These, are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, —so she bare these to Jacob, —sixteen souls.
૧૮લાબાને તેની દીકરી લેઆને જે દાસી ઝિલ્પા આપી હતી તેનાં સંતાનો એ છે. તેઓ તેને યાકૂબ દ્વારા થયાં, તેઓ સર્વ મળીને સોળ જણ હતાં.
19 The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife, —Joseph and Benjamin;
૧૯યાકૂબની પત્ની રાહેલના દીકરા: યૂસફ તથા બિન્યામીન;
20 And there were born to Joseph in the land of Egypt, whom Asenath daughter of Poti-phera, priest of On, bare to him: Manasseh and Ephraim;
૨૦યૂસફના મિસર દેશમાં જન્મેલા દીકરાઓ મનાશ્શા તથા એફ્રાઇમ. તેઓને ઓનના યાજક પોટીફારની દીકરી આસનાથે જન્મ આપ્યો હતો;
21 And the sons of Benjamin—Bela and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera and Naaman, Ehi and Rosh, —Muppim and Huppim, and Ard.
૨૧બિન્યામીનના દીકરા: બેલા, બેખેર, આશ્બેલ, ગેરા, નામાન, એહી, રોશ, મુપ્પીમ, હુપ્પીમ તથા આર્દ.
22 These, are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob, —all the souls, were fourteen.
૨૨તેઓ રાહેલના દીકરા, જે યાકૂબ દ્વારા થયા. તેઓ સર્વ મળીને ચૌદ જણ હતા.
23 And, the sons of Dan, —Hushim;
૨૩દાન તથા તેનો દીકરો હુશીમ;
24 And the sons of Naphtali, —Jahzeel and Guni, and Jezer and Shillem.
૨૪નફતાલી તથા તેના દીકરા: યાહસએલ, ગૂની, યેસેર તથા શિલ્લેમ.
25 These, are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, —so she bare these to Jacob, —all the souls, were seven.
૨૫લાબાને તેની દીકરી રાહેલને જે દાસી બિલ્હા આપી તેના દીકરા એ છે જેઓ યાકૂબ દ્વારા તેને થયા. તે સર્વ મળીને સાત જણ હતા.
26 All the souls that came in with Jacob to Egypt that had come forth of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, —all the souls, were sixty-six;
૨૬યાકૂબના દીકરાઓની પત્નીઓ સિવાય કનાનમાં જન્મેલાં જે સર્વ માણસ યાકૂબ સાથે મિસરમાં આવ્યાં તેઓ છાસઠ જણ હતાં.
27 and, the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls: All the souls of the house of Jacob that came into Egypt, were seventy.
૨૭યૂસફના દીકરા જે મિસર દેશમાં તેને જન્મ્યા હતા, તે બે હતા. યાકૂબના ઘરનાં સર્વ માણસો જે મિસરમાં આવ્યાં તેઓ સિત્તેર હતાં.
28 And he sent, Judah, before him unto Joseph, to direct his face to Goshen, —so they came in towards the land of Goshen.
૨૮યાકૂબે તેની આગળ યહૂદાને યૂસફની પાસે મોકલ્યો કે તે આગળ જઈને ગોશેનનો માર્ગ બતાવે અને તેઓ ગોશેન દેશમાં આવ્યા.
29 Then yoked Joseph his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father towards Goshen, —and he appeared unto him, and fell upon his neck, and wept upon his neck a good while.
૨૯યૂસફે તેના રથ તૈયાર કર્યા અને તેના પિતા ઇઝરાયલને મળવાને તે ગોશેનમાં આવ્યો. પિતાને જોઈને યૂસફ ભેટીને ઘણી વાર સુધી રડ્યો.
30 Then said Israel unto Joseph I am ready to die at last, —now that I have seen thy face, in that thou art, yet alive.
૩૦ઇઝરાયલે યૂસફને કહ્યું, “મેં તારું મુખ જોયું અને તું હજી હયાત છે. હવે મારું મરણ ભલે આવે.”
31 Then said Joseph unto his brethren and unto the house of his father, I must go up, and must tell Pharaoh—and must say unto him, My brethren, and the house of my father, who were in the land of Canaan, have come in unto me.
૩૧યૂસફે તેના ભાઈઓને તથા તેના પિતાના ઘરનાંને કહ્યું, “હું જઈને ફારુનને જણાવીને કહીશ કે, ‘મારા ભાઈઓ તથા મારા પિતાના ઘરનાં જે કનાન દેશમાં હતાં તેઓ મારી પાસે આવ્યાં છે.
32 Now, the men, are feeders of flocks, for men of cattle, they are, —and their flocks and their herds and all that they have, have they brought in.
૩૨તેઓ ભરવાડ છે અને જાનવરો પાળનારા છે. તેઓ તેમનાં બકરાં, અન્ય જાનવરો તથા તેઓનું જે સર્વ છે તે બધું લાવ્યા છે.”
33 So shall it come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call for you, —and shall say—What is your occupation?
૩૩અને એમ થશે કે, જયારે ફારુન તમને બોલાવે અને તમને પૂછે, તમારો વ્યવસાય શો છે?’
34 Then shall ye say—Men of cattle, have thy servants been from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers, —To the end ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for an abomination to Egyptians, is every feeder of a flock,
૩૪ત્યારે તમારે આ પ્રમાણે કહેવું, ‘તારા ચાકરોનો એટલે અમારો તથા અમારા પિતૃઓનો વ્યવસાય નાનપણથી તે અત્યાર સુધી જાનવરો પાળવાનો છે.’ આ પ્રમાણે કહેશો એટલે તમને ગોશેન દેશમાં રહેવાની પરવાનગી મળશે. કેમ કે મિસરીઓ ભરવાડોને ધિક્કારે છે.”
