Genesis 45
1 And Joseph could not restrain himself before all who were stationed near him, so he cried out—Have forth every man from me! And there stood no man with him, when Joseph made himself known unto his brethren,
അപ്പോൾ യോസേഫിനു തന്റെ ചുറ്റുംനിന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരുടെമുമ്പിൽ സ്വയം നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെയായി. “എല്ലാവരെയും എന്റെ മുന്നിൽനിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കുക,” അദ്ദേഹം വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ, യോസേഫ് സഹോദരന്മാർക്കു തന്നെത്തന്നെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
2 Then gave he forth his voice in weeping, —and the Egyptians heard, and the house of Pharaoh heard.
ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാർ കേൾക്കുംവിധം അദ്ദേഹം വളരെ ഉറക്കെ കരഞ്ഞു. ഫറവോന്റെ കൊട്ടാരത്തിലുള്ളവരും ഈ വാർത്ത കേട്ടു.
3 Then said Joseph unto his brethren: I, am Joseph, is my father yet alive? But his brethren could not answer him, for they were terrified because of him.
യോസേഫ് സഹോദരന്മാരോട്, “ഞാൻ യോസേഫ് ആകുന്നു! എന്റെ അപ്പൻ ഇപ്പോഴും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ അതിന് ഉത്തരം പറയാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; കാരണം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അവർ അത്ഭുതപരവശരായിരുന്നു.
4 Then said Joseph unto his brethren—Draw near I pray you, unto me. And they drew near. And he said—I, am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
ഇതിനുശേഷം യോസേഫ് സഹോദരന്മാരോട്, “എന്റെ അടുത്തേക്കു വരിക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അടുക്കൽവന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു, “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനായ യോസേഫ് ആണ്. നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിലേക്കു വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞു.
5 But, now, do not grieve, neither let it be vexing in your eyes, that ye sold me hither, —for, to save life, did God send me before you.
എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കരുത്; ഇവിടേക്കു വിറ്റതിൽ നിങ്ങളോടുതന്നെ കോപിക്കയുമരുത്; കാരണം, ജീവരക്ഷയ്ക്കായി ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്കുമുമ്പായി എന്നെ ഇവിടെ അയച്ചതാണ്.
6 For these two years, hath the famine been in the midst of the land, —and, yet five years, are there, in which there shall be neither ploughing, nor harvest.
ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട് ഇപ്പോൾ രണ്ടുവർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉഴവും കൊയ്ത്തുമില്ലാത്ത അഞ്ചുവർഷം ഇനിയും ഉണ്ട്.
7 So then God sent me before you, to plant for you a remainder in the earth, —and to save you alive, by a great deliverance,
എന്നാൽ ഭൂമുഖത്ത് നിങ്ങൾക്കായി ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പിനെ നിലനിർത്താനും മഹത്തായ ഒരു വിടുതലിലൂടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കാനുമായി ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്കുമുമ്പേ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 Now, therefore it was not ye, who sent me hither, but, God, himself, —who also appointed me to be a father to Pharaoh, and a lord to all his house, and a ruler over all the land of Egypt.
“ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളല്ല, ദൈവമാണ് എന്നെ ഇവിടെ അയച്ചത്. അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ ഫറവോനു പിതാവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാവർക്കും പ്രഭുവും ഈജിപ്റ്റുദേശത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാവർക്കും ഭരണാധികാരിയും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
9 Haste ye and go up unto my father, then shall ye say unto him—Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath appointed me lord to all Egypt, —come down unto me do not delay;
ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ വേഗം എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തി അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയണം: ‘അങ്ങയുടെ മകനായ യോസേഫ് അറിയിക്കുന്നു: ദൈവം എന്നെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ മുഴുവൻ പ്രഭുവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങ് എന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു വേഗം വരണം, ഒട്ടും താമസിക്കരുത്.
10 so shalt thou dwell in the land of Goshen, and shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy sons, and thy sons’ sons, —and thy flocks and thy herds and all that is thine;
അങ്ങും, അങ്ങയുടെ മക്കളും കൊച്ചുമക്കളും ആടുമാടുകളും സകലസ്വത്തുക്കളുമായി വന്ന് എന്റെ സമീപത്ത്, ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു താമസിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക.
11 so will I sustain thee, there, for there are yet five years of famine, —lest thou come to poverty—thou and thy house and all who are thine.
അവിടെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടുന്നതെല്ലാം ഞാൻ എത്തിച്ചുതന്നുകൊള്ളാം; ക്ഷാമത്തിന്റെ അഞ്ചുവർഷങ്ങൾകൂടി ഇനിയുണ്ട്. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അങ്ങും അങ്ങയുടെ കുടുംബത്തിലുള്ളവരും അങ്ങേക്കുള്ളതെല്ലാം നശിച്ചുപോകുമല്ലോ.’
12 Now lo! your own eyes do see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, —that it is my own mouth, that doth speak unto you.
“നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു വാസ്തവത്തിൽ ഞാൻതന്നെ എന്നു നിങ്ങളും എന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ബെന്യാമീനും നേരിട്ടു കാണുന്നല്ലോ!
13 As soon as ye have told my father all my honour in Egypt, and all that ye have seen, so soon shall ye hasten and bring down my father hither.
ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ എനിക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്ന ബഹുമാനവും നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സകലതും എന്റെ പിതാവിനെ അറിയിക്കണം; എന്റെ പിതാവിനെ എത്രയുംവേഗം ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരണം.”
14 Then fell he upon the neck of Benjamin his brother, and wept, —and Benjamin wept on his neck.
പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം അനുജനായ ബെന്യാമീനെ കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു; ബെന്യാമീനും കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആലിംഗനംചെയ്തു.
15 Then kissed he all his brethren, and wept upon them, —and, thereafter, his brethren spake with him.
തന്റെ എല്ലാ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും ചുംബിച്ച് അവരെച്ചൊല്ലി അദ്ദേഹം കരഞ്ഞു. ഈ സംഭവത്തിനുശേഷം തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ അദ്ദേഹവുമായി സല്ലപിച്ചു.
16 Now, the report, was heard by the house of Pharaoh, saying, The brethren of Joseph have come in, And it was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
യോസേഫിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്ന വാർത്ത ഫറവോന്റെ അരമനയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും ആഹ്ലാദിച്ചു.
17 So then Pharaoh said unto Joseph—Say unto thy brethren This, do, —lade your asses, and go enter into the land of Canaan;
ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോട്, ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ പുറത്തു ചുമടുകയറ്റി കനാൻദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകാൻ പറയുക.
18 and fetch your father and your households and come in unto me, —that I may give you the best of the land of Egypt, and eat ye the fat of the land.
നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിനെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാനും പറയണം; ഈജിപ്റ്റുദേശത്തുള്ളതിൽ ഏറ്റവും നല്ല പ്രദേശം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരുമെന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഈ ദേശത്തിന്റെ സമൃദ്ധി അനുഭവിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമെന്നും അവരെ അറിയിക്കണം.’
19 Thou, therefore command them, This, do ye, —Take you out of the land of Egypt, waggons for your little ones and for your wives, so shall ye bring your father and come in.
“നീ അവരോടു വീണ്ടും പറയേണ്ടത്: ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാർക്കുംവേണ്ടി ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് ഏതാനും വാഹനങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുപോകുകയും പിതാവിനെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോരുകയും വേണം.
20 Your eye, moreover, let it not look with pity upon your goods, —for, the best of all the land of Egypt, is, yours.
നിങ്ങളുടെ വസ്തുവകകളെപ്പറ്റി ഒട്ടും ചിന്താഭാരപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല; കാരണം ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ വിശിഷ്ടമായതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതാണ്.’”
21 And the sons of Israel did so, and Joseph gave them waggons, at the bidding of Pharaoh, —and gave them provisions for the way:
ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അങ്ങനെതന്നെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. ഫറവോൻ കൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ യോസേഫ് അവർക്കു വാഹനങ്ങൾ നൽകുകയും അവരുടെ യാത്രയ്ക്കുള്ള ക്രമീകരണങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
22 to all of them, gave he to each man changes of raiment, —but, to Benjamin, he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.
അവരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തർക്കും അദ്ദേഹം പുതിയ ഓരോ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ കൊടുത്തു. എന്നാൽ ബെന്യാമീന് അദ്ദേഹം മുന്നൂറു ശേക്കേൽ വെള്ളിയും അഞ്ചു വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും കൊടുത്തു.
23 Moreover, to his father, sent he as followeth—ten he-asses, laden from the best of Egypt, —and ten she-asses laden with corn and bread and nourishing food for his father for the way.
പിതാവിന് അദ്ദേഹം അയച്ചുകൊടുത്തത്: പത്തു കഴുതകളുടെ പുറത്ത് കയറ്റിയ ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ ഏറ്റവും വിശിഷ്ടമായ വസ്തുക്കളും പത്തു പെൺകഴുതകളുടെ പുറത്തു കയറ്റിയ ധാന്യവും അപ്പവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ യാത്രയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന മറ്റു സാമഗ്രികളും ആയിരുന്നു.
24 Thus sent he forth his brethren and they departed, —and he said unto them, Do not fall out by the way.
അങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം സഹോദരന്മാരെ യാത്രയാക്കി; അവർ പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട്, “വഴിക്കുവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾ കലഹിക്കരുത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 And they went up out of Egypt, —and came into the land of Canaan, unto Jacob their father.
അങ്ങനെ അവർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് കനാൻദേശത്ത്, തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തിച്ചേർന്നു.
26 And they told him saying—Joseph: is, yet alive, yea, indeed, he, is ruler in all the land of Egypt. And his heart became faint, for he believed them not.
അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട്, “യോസേഫ് ഇപ്പോഴും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു! അവൻ, ഈജിപ്റ്റുദേശത്തിന്റെ മുഴുവൻ ഭരണാധികാരിയാണ്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യാക്കോബ് സ്തംഭിച്ചിരുന്നുപോയി; അവരുടെ വാക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.
27 So they spake unto him all the words of Joseph which he had spoken unto them h then saw he the waggons, which Joseph had sent to carry him, —and the spirit of Jacob their father revived.
എന്നാൽ യോസേഫ് തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതെല്ലാം അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അറിയിക്കയും തന്നെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിനു യോസേഫ് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വാഹനങ്ങൾ കാണുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ പിതാവായ യാക്കോബിന് വീണ്ടും ചൈതന്യംവന്നു.
28 And Israel said, Enough! Joseph my son is, yet alive, I must go and see him before I die!
“എനിക്കുറപ്പായി! എന്റെ മകൻ യോസേഫ് ജീവനോടെയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ മരിക്കുന്നതിനുമുമ്പേ ചെന്ന് അവനെ കാണും,” ഇസ്രായേൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
