< Genesis 20 >
1 And Abraham brake up from thence, towards the land of the South, and fixed his dwelling between Kadesh and Shur, so he sojourned in Gerar.
Daga Mamre, Ibrahim ya kama hanya ya nufi wajajen Negeb, ya zauna a tsakanin Kadesh da Shur. Ya zauna a Gerar na ɗan lokaci,
2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife: My, sister, is she, —So Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
a can ne Ibrahim ya ce game da matarsa Saratu, “Ita’yar’uwata ce.” Sai Abimelek sarkin Gerar ya aiko a kawo masa Saratu.
3 Then God went in unto Abimelech, in a dream of the night, —and said to him, Behold thee dead! because of the woman whom thou hast taken, seeing that, she, is a married woman.
Amma wata rana da dad dare Allah ya zo wa Abimelek a cikin mafarki ya ce masa, “Kai da matacce ɗaya kuke, saboda matar da ka ɗauka. Ita matar aure ce.”
4 Now, Abimelech, had not come near unto her, —so he said, O My Lord! a nation even a righteous one, wilt thou slay?
Abimelek dai bai riga ya kusace ta ba tukuna, saboda haka ya ce, “Ya Ubangiji za ka hallaka al’umma marar laifi?
5 Had not, he himself, said to me, My sister, is she? and even she herself, said, My brother, is he? In the integrity of my heart and in the pureness of my hand, have I done this!
Ba shi ne ya ce mini, ‘Ita’yar’uwata ba ce,’ ita ma ba tă ce, ‘Shi ɗan’uwana ba ne’? Na yi haka da kyakkyawan nufi da hannuwa masu tsabta.”
6 And God said unto him in a dream, I, also, knew, that in the integrity of thy heart, thou didst this, so then, even I myself, withheld thee from sinning against me, for this reason, have I not suffered thee to touch her.
Sai Allah ya ce masa a cikin mafarki “I, na san ka yi wannan da kyakkyawan nufi, saboda haka ne na kiyaye ka daga yin mini zunubi. Shi ya sa ban bar ka ka taɓa ta ba.
7 Now, therefore restore the man’s wife, for a prophet, is he, that he may pray for thee and live thou, —But if thou art not going to restore her, know, that thou shalt die, thou—and all that are thine.
Yanzu ka komar da matar mutumin, gama shi annabi ne, zai kuma yi maka addu’a, za ka kuwa rayu. In ba ka komar da ita ba fa, ka sani tabbatacce kai da dukan abin da yake naka za ku mutu.”
8 So Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and spake all these words in their ears, and the men feared greatly.
Kashegari da sassafe, sai Abimelek ya tara dukan fadawansa, ya faɗa musu duk abin da ya faru, suka ji tsoro ƙwarai da gaske.
9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, What hast thou done to us? and wherein had I sinned against thee, that thou shouldst have brought in over me and over my kingdom, a sin so great? Deeds, which should not be done, hast thou done with me.
Sa’an nan Abimelek ya kira Ibrahim ciki ya ce, “Me ke nan ka yi mana? Ta wace hanya ce na yi maka laifi har da ka kawo irin wannan babban laifi a kaina da kuma masarautata? Ka yi mini abubuwan da bai kamata a yi ba.”
10 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, —What hadst thou seen, that thou shouldst have done this thing?
Abimelek ya kuma ce wa Ibrahim, “Me ya sa ka yi wannan?”
11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely there is no fear of God, in this place, —therefore will they slay me for the sake of my wife.
Ibrahim ya ce, “Na ce a raina, ‘Tabbatacce babu tsoron Allah a wannan wuri, za su kuwa kashe ni saboda matata.’
12 Moreover also, in truth, my sister daughter of my father, she is, only not daughter of my mother, —so she became my wife.
Ban da haka, tabbatacce ita’yar’uwata ce,’yar mahaifina, ko da yake ba daga uwata ba, ta kuma zama matata.
13 And so it came to pass when the Gods caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said to her, This, is thy lovingkindness, wherewith thou shalt deal with me, —Into whatsoever place we enter, say of me My brother, is he.
Sa’ad da Allah ya sa na tashi daga gidan mahaifina na ce mata, ‘Wannan shi ne yadda za ki nuna mini ƙaunarki. Duk inda muka tafi, ki ce game da ni, “Shi ɗan’uwana ne.”’”
14 Then took Abimelech sheep and oxen and men—servants and maid-servants, and gave to Abraham, —and restored to him Sarah his wife.
Sai Abimelek ya kawo awaki da shanu da bayi maza da mata, ya ba wa Ibrahim, ya kuma komar da Saratu matarsa gare shi.
15 And Abimelech, said, Lo! my land is before thee, —wherever it may seem good in thine eyes, dwell.
Abimelek ya kuma ce, “Ƙasata tana gabanka, ka zauna a duk inda kake so.”
16 And to Sarah, he said, Lo! I have given a thousand of silver unto thy brother: Lo! that is for thee as a covering of eyes, to all who are with thee, —And so in every way, hath right been done.
Ga Saratu kuwa ya ce, “Ina ba wa ɗan’uwanki shekel dubu na azurfa, shaida ce ta tabbatarwa a idanun dukan waɗanda suke tare da ke, da kuma a gaban kowa cewa ba ki da laifi.”
17 And Abraham prayed unto God, —and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maid-servants, so that they bare children,
Sai Ibrahim ya yi addu’a ga Allah, Allah kuma ya warkar da Abimelek, da matarsa da bayinsa mata domin su haihu,
18 For Yahweh, had restrained from bearing, every female of the house of Abimelech, —because of Sarah, wife of Abraham.
gama Ubangiji ya rufe kowace mahaifa a gidan Abimelek saboda Saratu, matar Ibrahim.
