< Genesis 15 >

1 After these things, came the word of Yahweh unto Abram, in a vision saying, —Do not fear Abram, I am a shield to thee, thine exceeding great reward.
Tukun ma inge, oasr aruruma se Abram el liye, ac el lohng pusren LEUM GOD fahk nu sel, “Abram, nimet sangeng. Nga ac fah lisring kom liki mwe sensen, ac sot nu sum sie mwe usru lulap.”
2 And Abram said My Lord Yahweh, what canst thou give me, when, I, am going on childless, —and the heir of my house, is Eliezer, of Damascus,
Tusruktu Abram el topuk ac fahk, “LEUM GOD Fulatlana, mwe mea nu sik mwe usru sacn, ke wangin tulik nutik uh? Mwet sefanna ac usrui ma luk uh, pa Eliezer, mwet Damascus.
3 And Abram said—Lo, to me, hast thou not given seed, —And lo! a son of my household, is mine heir!
Wangin tulik kom ase nutik, a siena sin mwet kulansap luk fah usrui ma luk.”
4 And lo! the word of Yahweh [came] unto him, saying, This one, shall not be thine heir: But one who cometh forth of thy body—he shall be thine heir.
Na el lohng LEUM GOD El sifilpa kaskas nu sel ac fahk, “Mwet kulansap se inge, Eliezer, el fah tia usrui ma lom, a wen se nutum sifacna ac fah mwet usru lom.”
5 And he brought him forth abroad and said—Look steadfastly. I pray thee towards the heavens, and number the stars, if thou be able to number, them, And he said to him, Thus, shall be thy seed.
LEUM GOD El pwanulla nu likinuma ac fahk, “Ngetak nu inkusrao ac srike in oakla itu ingo. Fwilin tulik nutum ac fah pus oana itu uh.”
6 And he had faith in Yahweh, —so he reckoned it to him as righteousness.
Abram el filiya lulalfongi lal in LEUM GOD, ac ke sripa se inge LEUM GOD El oakulla sie mwet suwoswos.
7 And he said unto him, —I, am Yahweh, who brought thee forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
Na LEUM GOD El fahk nu sel, “Nga LEUM GOD, su pwenkomme liki acn Ur in facl Babylonia, in asot nu sum acn se inge tuh in ma lom.
8 And he said, My Lord Yahweh, whereby, can I know that I shall inherit it?
Tusruk Abram el siyuk, “LEUM GOD Fulatlana, ac fuka eteya sik lah ac ma luk?”
9 And he said unto him, Take for me a heifer three years old, and a she-goat three years old, and a ram three years old, and a turtle-dove and a young pigeon.
El topuk ac fahk, “Use soko cow mutan, soko nani mutan, ac soko sheep mukul, kais soko seltal in yac tolu matwa, wi sie wule ac sie wuleoa.”
10 So he took for him all these, and divided them, in the midst, and placed each piece over against its fellow, but the birds, divided he not.
Abram el use ma inge nu yurin God. El uniya, na fulungya kosro ah nu ke ip luo ac takunla ke tak lukwa, ip luo ke kais sie kain kosro oan tulani nu sie, a el tia fulungya wule ah.
11 Then came down the birds of prey upon the carcass, and Abram drove them away.
Won lulap vulture uh tuhwi nu fin ikwen kosro ac won uh, tusruktu Abram el luselosla.
12 And it came to pass when, the sun, was about to go in, and, a deep sleep, had fallen upon Abram, lo! a terror a great darkness, was falling upon him.
Ke faht uh fahsr in tili, Abram el motulla folosuwosla, na sangeng ac tuninfong tuyang nu sel.
13 And he said to Abram—Thou must surely know, that, sojourners, will thy seed become in a land not theirs, and shall serve them and they will humble them, four hundred years;
Na LEUM GOD El fahk nu sel, “Fwilin tulik nutum ac fah mwetsac in sie facl su tia facl selos. Elos ac fah mwet kohs we, na ac fah arulana orek elos koluk ke lusen yac angfoko.
14 moreover also, the nation whom they will serve, I, am going to judge, and after that, shall they come forth with great substance.
Tusruktu nga ac fah kalyei mutunfacl se ma ac akkohsyelos, na ke elos ac mukuiyak liki facl sac elos ac us mwe kasrup puspis welulos.
15 But, thou, shalt go in unto thy fathers in peace, thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
A funu kom, kom ac muta nwe ke na kom matuoh, na kom fah misa in misla, ac pukpuki.
16 And, in the fourth generation, shall they return hither, —for not complete, is the iniquity of the Amorites, as yet,
A ac fah sun fwilin tulik akakosr nutum meet liki elos foloko nu in acn se inge, mweyen nga ac tia lusla mwet Amor nwe ke na arulana yokelik ma koluk lalos ac fal in kalyeiyuk elos.”
17 So it came to pass when, the sun, had gone in, and, a thick darkness, had come on, that lo there was a smoking hearth and torch of fire, which passed through between these pieces.
Ke faht ah tili, ac lohsrla acn uh, sie tup in e fofosr ac soko srokom in e sikyak ke kitin pacl ah, ac fahla inmasrlon takin ikwen kosro uh.
18 In that day, did Yahweh solemnise with Abram a covenant, saying, —To thy seed, have I given this land, from the river of Egypt as far as the great river—the river Euphrates:
Na in pacl sacna, LEUM GOD El orala wulela se inmasrlol ac Abram, fahkang, “Nga wulela mu nga ac sot facl se inge nufon nu sin fwilin tulik nutum, mutawauk ke masrol lun Egypt nwe ke Infacl Euphrates,

mwet Amor, mwet Canaan, mwet Girgash, ac mwet Jebus.”
