Genesis 14
1 And it came to pass, in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, —Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim,
Ihinda-inĩ rĩu, Amurafeli mũthamaki wa Shinaru, na Arioku mũthamaki wa Elasaru, na Kedorilaomeri mũthamaki wa Elamu, na Tidali mũthamaki wa Goimu,
2 that they made war, with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah, —Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela—the same, is Zoar.
nĩmathiire ita kũrũa na Bera mũthamaki wa Sodomu, na Birisha mũthamaki wa Gomora, na Shinabu mũthamaki wa Adima, na Shemeberi mũthamaki wa Zeboimu na mũthamaki wa Bela (na nokuo Zoari).
3 All these, joined together in the valley of the open fields, the same, is the Salt Sea.
Athamaki acio othe a gĩkundi gĩa keerĩ nĩmacookanĩrĩire hamwe Gĩtuamba-inĩ gĩa Sidimu (na nokuo Iria rĩa Cumbĩ).
4 Twelve years, had they served Chedorlaomer, —but in the thirteenth year had they rebelled;
Ihinda rĩa mĩaka ikũmi na ĩĩrĩ maatũire matungatagĩra Mũthamaki Kedorilaomeri, no mwaka-inĩ wa ikũmi na ĩtatũ makĩregana na watho wake.
5 and in the fourteenth year, had Chedorlaomer come in and the kings who were with him, so they smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, —and the Emim, in Shaveh-kiriathaim;

6 and the Horites in their Mount Seir, —as far as El-paran, which is by the desert.

7 So they returned and came in unto En-mishpat, the same, is Kadish, and smote all the field of the Amalekites, —and the Amorites also that dwelt in Hazazon-tamar,
Ningĩ athamaki acio makĩgarũrũka, magĩthiĩ Eni-Mishipatu (na nokuo Kadeshi), magĩtooria rũgongo ruothe rwa Amaleki, o hamwe na Aamori arĩa maatũũraga kũu Hazazoni-Tamaru.
8 Thus then went forth the King of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela the same, is Zoar—and set themselves in array against them for battle, in the valley of the open fields:

9 against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, —four kings against five.

10 Now, the valley of the open fields, had many pits of bitumen, so the king of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there, —while, they who remained, towards a mountain, fled.
Na rĩrĩ, Gĩtuamba kĩu gĩa Sidimu kĩaiyũrĩte marima ma rami, na rĩrĩa athamaki a Sodomu na Gomora mooraga-rĩ, andũ amwe ao makĩgũa kuo nao arĩa angĩ makĩũrĩra irĩma-inĩ.
11 And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food and went their way.

12 And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son with his goods, and went their way, —he, being a dweller in Sodom.

13 Then came in a fugitive, and told Abram the Hebrew, —he, having his dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, they, also having a covenant with Abram.

14 So Abram, hearing that his brother had been taken captive, drew forth his trained men born in his house three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.

15 And he divided himself against them by night, he, and his servants, and smote them, —and pursued them as far as Hobah, which was on the left of Damascus.
Ũtukũ-rĩ, Aburamu akĩgayania andũ ake mamatharĩkĩre, nake akĩmahoota na akĩmaingatithia nginya Hoba, itũũra rĩrĩ gathigathini wa Dameski.
16 So he brought back all the goods, —yea Lot also his brother with his goods, did he bring back, and the women also, and the people.
Aburamu agĩcookithia indo ciothe iria ciatahĩtwo, na Loti mũndũ ũcio wao, na indo ciake ciothe, hamwe na andũ-a-nja na andũ arĩa angĩ.
17 Then came forth the king of Sodom to meet him, after his return from the smiting of Chedorlaomer, and the kings who were with him, —into the vale of Shaveh the same, was the vale of the king.
Aburamu acooka kuuma kũhoota Kedorilaomeri na athamaki arĩa maarĩ rũmwe nake-rĩ, mũthamaki wa Sodomu agĩthiĩ kũmũtũnga Gĩtuamba-inĩ gĩa Shave (na no kĩo gĩĩtagwo Gĩtuamba-kĩa-Mũthamaki).
18 Now Melchizedek king of Salem, had brought forth bread and wine, —he, being priest of GOD Most High.
Nake Melikisedeki mũthamaki wa Salemu akĩrehe mĩgate na ndibei. We aarĩ mũthĩnjĩri wa Mũrungu Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno.
19 So he blessed him and said, —Blessed be Abram of GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth;
Na akĩrathima Aburamu, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Aburamu arorathimwo nĩ Mũrungu Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno, o we Mũmbi wa igũrũ na thĩ.
20 And blessed be GOD Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. So he gave unto him a tenth of all.
Ningĩ Mũrungu Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno arogaathwo, o ũcio ũraneanire thũ ciaku moko-inĩ maku.” Nake Aburamu akĩhe Melikisedeki gĩcunjĩ gĩa ikũmi kĩa indo ciothe iria aatunyĩte athamaki arĩa ana.
21 Then said the king of Sodom unto Abram, —Give unto me the persons, but the goods, take thou for thyself.
Nake mũthamaki wa Sodomu akĩĩra Aburamu atĩrĩ, “Niĩ nengera o andũ tu, ũrigie na indo ituĩke ciaku.”
22 And Abram said unto the king of Sodom, —I have lifted up my hand unto Yahweh GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth:
No Aburamu akĩĩra mũthamaki ũcio wa Sodomu atĩrĩ, “Nĩnyambararĩtie guoko gwakwa na igũrũ na ngehĩta na mwĩhĩtwa kũrĩ Jehova Mũrungu Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno, Mũmbi wa igũrũ na thĩ,
23 That not from a thread even unto a sandal-thong, —will I take, anything, that is thine, —Lest thou shouldst say, I, enriched Abram!
atĩ ndingĩĩtĩkĩra kuoya kĩndũ o na kĩmwe gĩaku, o na karũrigi kana kamũkwa ga kĩraatũ, nĩgeetha ndũkanoige atĩrĩ, ‘Nĩ niĩ ndatongirie Aburamu.’
24 Save only what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre, they may take their share.
Ndingĩĩtĩkĩra kuoya kĩndũ, o tiga kĩrĩa kĩrĩĩtwo nĩ andũ akwa, na igai rĩa andũ arĩa tũrathiĩte nao, na nĩo Aneri, na Eshikoli, na Mamure. Acio nĩmooe rũgai rwao.”
