Genesis 10
1 Now, these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and there were born to them sons after the flood.
Und dies sind die Zeugungen der Söhne Noachs: Schem, Cham und Japheth; und es wurden ihnen nach der Flut Söhne geboren.
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Javan and Tubal, —and Meshech, and Tiras.
Die Söhne Japheths sind Gomer und Magog und Madai und Javan und Thubal und Meschech und Thiras.
3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath, and Togarmah.
Und die Söhne Gomers: Aschkenas und Riphath und Thogarmah.
4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish. Kittim, and Rodanim, —
Und die Söhne Javans: Elischah und Tarschisch, Kitthim und Dodanim.
5 From these, were dispersed [the inhabitants] of the coastlands of the nations, in their lands, each man by his tongue, by their families in their nations.
Von diesen trennten sich ab die Inseln der Völkerschaften in ihren Ländern, jede nach ihrer Zunge, nach ihren Familien, in ihren Völkerschaften.
6 And, the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Phut and Canaan.
Und die Söhne Chams: Kusch und Mizraim und Put und Kanaan.
7 And, the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabtah and Raamah, and Sabtechah, —And the sons of Raamah, Sheba and Dedan.
Und die Söhne Kuschs waren Seba und Chavilah und Sabtha und Raemah und Sabtheka; und die Söhne Raemahs: Scheba und Dedan.
8 And, Cush begat Nimrod.—he, became a hero in the earth;
Und Kusch zeugte Nimrod; der fing an ein Mächtiger zu werden auf der Erde.
9 he, became a hero of hunting before Yahweh, for this cause, it is said. Like Nimrod, a hero of hunting before Yahweh.
Er war ein mächtiger Jäger vor Jehovah. Darum sagte man: Wie Nimrod ein mächtiger Jäger vor Jehovah.
10 So the beginning of his kingdom came to be Babel, and Erech, and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Und der Anfang seines Königreiches war Babel und Erech und Akkad und Kalneh im Lande Schinear.
11 From that land, went forth Asshur, —and he built Nineveh, and Rehoboth-ir, and Calah:
Von diesem Lande zog aus Aschur, und baute Niniveh und die Stadt Rechoboth und Kalach;
12 and Resen, between Niveveh and Calah, —the same is the great city.
Und Resen zwischen Niniveh und zwischen Kalach. Dies ist die große Stadt.
13 And, Mizraim, begat Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim, and Naphtuchim;
Und Mizraim zeugte die Ludim und Lehabim und Naphtuchim.
14 and Pathrusim and Casluhim whence came forth Philistim and Caphtorim.
Und die Pathrusim und die Kasluchim. Woher die Philister ausgingen, und die Kaphthorim.
15 And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth:
Und Kanaan zeugte Zidon, seinen Erstgeborenen, und Cheth.
16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;
Und den Jebusiter und den Amoriter und den Girgaschiter.
17 and the Hivite and the Arkite, and the Sinite:
Und den Chiviter und den Arkiter und den Siniter.
18 and the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite, —and after-wards, were spread abroad the families of the Canaanite.
Und den Arvaditer und den Zemariter und den Chamathiter; und nachher zerstreuten sich die Familien des Kanaaniters.
19 And it came to pass that the boundary of the Canaanite was from Zidon, as thou enterest in towards Gerar unto Gaza, —as thou enterest in towards Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboim, as far as Lasha.
Und die Grenze des Kanaaniters war von Zidon, da man nach Gerar und Gazah kommt, da man gen Sodom und Gomorrah, und Admah und Zeboim bis Lascha kommt.
20 These, are the sons of Ham, by their families by their tongues, in their lands in their nations.
Dies sind die Söhne Chams nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Zungen in ihren Ländern, in ihren Völkerschaften.
21 Now, to Shem, father of all the sons of Eber, elder brother of Japheth, to him also, were children born.
Und dem Schem, auch ihm ward geboren; er war der Vater aller Söhne Ebers; der größere Bruder Japheths.
22 The sons of Shem, Elam and Asshur, —and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.
Schems Söhne sind Elam und Aschur und Arpachschad und Lud und Aram.
23 And, the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
Und Arams Söhne sind Uz und Chul und Gether und Masch.
24 Now Arpachshad, begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
Und Arpachschad zeugte Schelach und Schelach zeugte Eber.
25 And to Eber, were born two sons, —the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days, was the earth divided, and the name of his brother was Joktan.
Und dem Eber wurden zwei Söhne geboren. Der Name des einen war Peleg, weil in seinen Tagen die Erde zerteilt ward, und der Name seines Bruders war Joktan.
26 Now, Joktan, begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
Und Joktan zeugte Almodad und Schaleph und Chazarmaveth und Jerach;
27 and Hadoram and Uzal, and Diklah:
Und Hadoram und Uzal und Diklah;
28 and Obal and Abimael, and Sheba:
Und Obal und Abimael und Scheba;
29 and Ophir and Havilah, and Jobab—all these were sons of Joktan.
Und Ophir und Chavilah und Jobab. Alle diese waren Söhne Joktans.
30 And it came to pass that their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou enterest in towards Sephar, the mountain of the east.
Und ihre Wohnung war von Mescha, da man gen Sephar, einen Berg in Osten kommt.
31 These are the sons of Shem, by their families by their tongues, in their lands by their nations.
Dies sind die Söhne Schems nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Zungen, in ihren Ländern, nach ihren Völkerschaften.
32 These, are the families of the sons of Noah, by their generations in their nations, and from these, were dispersed the nations in the earth after the flood.
Dies sind die Familien der Söhne Noachs nach ihren Geburten, in ihren Völkerschaften; und von ihnen trennten sich ab die Völkerschaften auf der Erde nach der Flut.
