< Galatians 5 >
1 With her freedom, Christ hath made you, free. Stand fast, therefore, and do not, again, with a yoke of servitude, be held fast!
Lätnak mi taki. Khritaw naw jah lätsaki! Khyang kläta mäiha ngdüitho u. Namimät m'yaa ä ngpawhei be ua.
2 See! I, Paul, say unto you—if ye be getting circumcised, Christ will profit you, nothing.
Kei Pawluh naw nami veia pyen veng, ngai ua: nami vun nami mawih üng nami phäha Khritaw amdanga kya khai.
3 Yea, I bear solemn witness again, unto every man getting circumcised, —that he is, a debtor, to do, the whole law.
A vun mawi khaia büki cun Thum avan läk khaia leimah ve tia ning jah mtheh veng.
4 Ye have been set aside from Christ, ye who, by law, are to be declared righteous, —out of his favour, ye have fallen;
Thum läknak am Pamhnama veia ngsungpyun khaia nami büki naw Khritaw nami thuknaki ni. Pamhnama bäkhäknaka kpunga nami awmki ni.
5 For, we, in Spirit, by faith, for a hope of righteousness, are ardently waiting, —
Keimia äpnak ta Pamhnam naw amäta veia jah ngsungpyun sak khai tia kya ve. Ahin ni Pamhnama Ngmüimkhya johit naw kami jumnak üng a bilawh kami ngängeia akya ve.
6 For, in Christ [Jesus], neither, circumcision, availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith, through love, energising.
Khritaw Jesuh üng vun mawih la vun am mawih hngalangnak am ve. Jawng'engnak üngka pawhmsaha jumeinak ni aktunga akya vei.
7 Ye were running well: —who hath hindered you, that, by truth, ye are not to be persuaded?
Akyäpa nami pawhki cen! U naw ngthungtak nami läknak üng a ning jah pyaisak ni? Ihawkba a ning jah kdäk ni?
8 The persuasion, [is] not of him that calleth you: —
Ahin hin ning jah khüki Pamhnama pawha am kya.
9 A little leaven, leaveneth, the whole lump.
“Kcaw ajawca naw buh avan thawhsak theiki” ami tia kba.
10 I, am persuaded regarding you, in the Lord—that, for nothing else, ye will have any regard; but, he that is troubling you, shall bear the sentence, —whosoever he may be.
11 I, however, brethren—if, circumcision, I yet proclaim, why am I yet persecuted? After all, the stumbling-block of the cross hath been set aside.
Ka püi he aw, vun mawih vai hlüki tia mawng ngthu ka sang laih laihkia akya üng ise mkhuimkhaa ka kyaki ni? Acun he hmankia akya üng Khritawa kutlamktung ka sang naw khuikhanak i am pawh.
12 Oh! that they would even leave off in dismay, who are unsettling you!
Ning jah uplatsaki he naw ami vun mawih däng ä khäk lü ami kte pi ami kphyet vai täng veng.
13 For, ye, on a footing of freedom, were called, brethren, —only, [turn] not your freedom into an occasion to the flesh, but, by means of your love, be serving one another;
Ka püi he aw, nami lät khaia ning jah khüa nami kyaki. Cunsepi nami läta phäha nami pumsa hlükawnak naw ä ning jah näng se. Acuna kthaka ta jawng'engnak am nami püi mcei ua.
14 For, the whole law, in one word, is summed up—[namely] in this, —Thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself.
“Namät na jawngnaka mäiha na impei loceng na jawngnak vai” tia ngthupet mat naw Thum naküt kümsaki.
15 If, however, one another, ye bite and devour, take heed lest, by one another, ye be consumed!
Cunsepi sakyung hea kba mat la mat mhlem kyu u lü ngtun u lü nami ve vai mcei ua, mät naw mät nami kpyehei khai ni.
16 I say, moreover—by Spirit, be walking, and, fleshly coveting, ye will in nowise fulfil;
Acunakyase ahikba pyen veng: nghngicim ngneiksak üng am nami yängsä khaia Ngmüimkhya naw nami xünnake lam ning jah msüm kawm.
17 For, the flesh, coveted against the Spirit, but, the Spirit, against the flesh, —for, these, unto one another, are opposed, lest, whatsoever things ye chance to desire, these, ye should be doing!
18 And, if, by Spirit, ye are being led, ye are not under law.
Ngmüimkhya naw a ning jah ngkhahpüi üng Thuma keha am nami awmki ni.
19 Manifest, however, are the works of the flesh, which, indeed, are—fornication, impurity, wantonness,
Nghngicim ngneiksaka bilawh cun ngdangki. Acun he cun hüipawmnak, phyawksaknak, am dawkia ngneiksak,
20 idolatry, enchantment, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, factions, divisions, parties,
Juktuh sawkkhahnake la tuiyaia luhvangnake ni. Khyang he nghneng lawki he, ng’eihei lawki he, ami mlung thüi lawki, ngnütei lawki he. Ngpai law u lü ngtai lawki he;
21 envyings, drunkenness, revellings; —and such things as these: as to which I forewarn you, even as I have forewarned you, —that, they who such things as these do practise, shall not inherit, God’s kingdom.
hnaihei law kyu peki he, ju aw ngenki he, hlimtui ngen u lü akce he pi jah pawhki he. Ajana ka ning jah mtheha kba atuh pi ning jah mtheh be tü veng: Ahin he jah tiki naw Pamhnama Khaw am ka na.
22 But, the fruit of the Spirit, is—love, joy, peace, long-suffering, graciousness, goodness, faithfulness,
Cunsepi Ngmüimkhya naw jawngnak, jekyainak, dim’yenak, mlung saünak, bänak, dawnak, sitihnak,
23 meekness, self-control; —against such things as these, there is no law.
mlung hnemnak, mät la mät ngxungei kyunake cun jah ngtheipai lawsaki. Acun he jah kpetkia Thum am ve.
24 And, they who are of Christ Jesus, have crucified, the flesh, with its susceptibilities and covetings.
Khritaw Jesuha khyang he naw ami nghngicim ngneiksaka mtisa hlükawnak naküt cun jah thihsak pängki he ni.
25 If we live by Spirit, by Spirit, let us also walk.
Ngmüimkhya naw xünak jah pe pängki; ani naw mi xünake pi jah ngkhahpüi khai.
26 Let us not become vain-glorious, —one another, challenging, one another, envying.
Am mi awhcah u lü, mat la mat ä mi ngsähna lü, mat la mat ä mi ng’eih kawm.
