Ezra 2
1 Now, these, are the sons of the province, who came up from among the captives of the exile, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon exiled to Babylon, —who came back unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his own city;
バビロンの王ネブカデネザルに捕えられて、バビロンに移された者のうち、捕囚をゆるされてエルサレムおよびユダに上って、おのおの自分の町に帰ったこの州の人々は次のとおりである。
2 who came in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai Rehum, Baanah, —the number of the men of the people of Israel: —
彼らはゼルバベル、エシュア、ネヘミヤ、セラヤ、レエラヤ、モルデカイ、ビルシャン、ミスパル、ビグワイ、レホム、バアナと共に帰ってきた。そのイスラエルの民の人数は次のとおりである。
3 The sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two;
パロシの子孫は二千百七十二人、
4 The sons of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy-two;
シパテヤの子孫は三百七十二人、
5 The sons of Arah, seven hundred and seventy-five;
アラの子孫は七百七十五人、
6 The sons of Pahath-moab, belonging to the sons of Jeshua, Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve;
パハテ・モアブの子孫すなわちエシュアとヨアブの子孫は二千八百十二人、
7 The sons of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four;
エラムの子孫は一千二百五十四人、
8 The sons of Zattu, nine hundred and forty-five;
ザットの子孫は九百四十五人、
9 The sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;
ザッカイの子孫は七百六十人、
10 The sons of Bani, six hundred and forty-two;
バニの子孫は六百四十二人、
11 The sons of Bebai, six hundred and twenty-three;
ベバイの子孫は六百二十三人、
12 The sons of Azgad, a thousand two hundred and twenty-two;
アズガデの子孫は一千二百二十二人、
13 The sons of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty-six;
アドニカムの子孫は六百六十六人、
14 The sons of Bigvai, two thousand and fifty-six;
ビグワイの子孫は二千五十六人、
15 The sons of Adin, four hundred and fifty-four;
アデンの子孫は四百五十四人、
16 The sons of Ater pertaining to Hezekiah, ninety-eight;
アテルの子孫すなわちヒゼキヤの子孫は九十八人、
17 The sons of Bezai, three hundred and twenty-three;
ベザイの子孫は三百二十三人、
18 The sons of Jorah, a hundred and twelve;
ヨラの子孫は百十二人、
19 The sons of Hashum, two hundred and twenty-three:
ハシュムの子孫は二百二十三人、
20 The sons of Gibbar, ninety-five;
ギバルの子孫は九十五人、
21 The sons of Bethlehem, a hundred and twenty-three;
ベツレヘムの子孫は百二十三人、
22 The men of Netophah, fifty-six;
ネトパの人々は五十六人、
23 The men of Anathoth, a hundred and twenty-eight;
アナトテの人々は百二十八人、
24 The sons of Azmaveth, forty-two;
アズマウテの子孫は四十二人、
25 The sons of Kiriath-arim, Chephirah and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty-three;
キリアテ・ヤリム、ケピラおよびベエロテの子孫は七百四十三人、
26 The sons of Ramah and Geba, six hundred and twenty-one;
ラマおよびゲバの子孫は六百二十一人、
27 The men of Michmas, a hundred and twenty-two:
ミクマシの人々は百二十二人、
28 The men of Bethel and Ai, two hundred and twenty-three;
ベテルおよびアイの人々は二百二十三人、
29 The sons of Nebo, fifty-two;
ネボの子孫は五十二人、
30 The sons of Magbish, a hundred and fifty-six;
マグビシの子孫は百五十六人、
31 The sons of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four;
他のエラムの子孫は一千二百五十四人、
32 The sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;
ハリムの子孫は三百二十人、
33 The sons of Lod, Hadid and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-five;
ロド、ハデデおよびオノの子孫は七百二十五人、
34 The sons of Jericho, three hundred and forty-five;
エリコの子孫は三百四十五人、
35 The sons of Senaah, three thousand and six hundred and thirty!
セナアの子孫は三千六百三十人。
36 The priests, The sons of Jedaiah of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy-three;
祭司は、エシュアの家のエダヤの子孫九百七十三人、
37 The sons of Immer, a thousand and fifty-two;
インメルの子孫一千五十二人、
38 The sons of Pashhur, a thousand two hundred and forty-seven;
パシュルの子孫一千二百四十七人、
39 The sons of Harim, a thousand and seventeen,
ハリムの子孫一千十七人。
40 The Levites, The sons of Jeshua, and Kadmiel of the sons of Hodaviah, seventy-four.
レビびとは、ホダヤの子孫すなわちエシュアとカデミエルの子孫七十四人。
41 The singers, The sons of Asaph, a hundred and twenty-eight.
歌うたう者は、アサフの子孫百二十八人。
42 The sons of the door-keepers, The sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, —in all, a hundred and thirty-nine.
門衛の子孫は、シャルムの子孫、アテルの子孫、タルモンの子孫、アックブの子孫、ハテタの子孫、ショバイの子孫合わせて百三十九人。
43 The Nethinim, The sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth;
宮に仕えるしもべたちは、ヂハの子孫、ハスパの子孫、タバオテの子孫、
44 the sons of Keros, the sons of Siaha, the sons of Padon;
ケロスの子孫、シアハの子孫、パドンの子孫、
45 the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Akkub;
レバナの子孫、ハガバの子孫、アックブの子孫、
46 the sons of Hagab, the sons of Shamlai, the sons of Hanan;
ハガブの子孫、シャルマイの子孫、ハナンの子孫、
47 the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar, the sons of Reaiah;
ギデルの子孫、ガハルの子孫、レアヤの子孫、
48 the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda, the sons of Gazzam;
レヂンの子孫、ネコダの子孫、ガザムの子孫、
49 the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah, the sons of Besai;
ウザの子孫、パセアの子孫、ベサイの子孫、
50 the sons of Asnah, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephisim;
アスナの子孫、メウニムの子孫、ネフシムの子孫、
51 the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur;
バクブクの子孫、ハクパの子孫、ハルホルの子孫、
52 the sons of Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha;
バヅリテの子孫、メヒダの子孫、ハルシャの子孫、
53 the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah;
バルコスの子孫、シセラの子孫、テマの子孫、
54 the sons of Neziah, the sons of Hatipha.
ネヂアの子孫、ハテパの子孫である。
55 The Sons of the Servants of Solomon. The sons of Sotai, the sons of Hasso-phereth, the sons of Peruda;
ソロモンのしもべたちの子孫は、ソタイの子孫、ハッソペレテの子孫、ペリダの子孫、
56 the sons of Jaalah, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel;
ヤアラの子孫、ダルコンの子孫、ギデルの子孫、
57 the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, the sons of Ami.
シパテヤの子孫、ハッテルの子孫、ポケレテ・ハッゼバイムの子孫、アミの子孫。
58 All the Nethinim, and the Sons of the Servants of Solomon, were three hundred and ninety-two.
宮に仕えるしもべたちとソロモンのしもべたちの子孫とは合わせて三百九十二人。
59 And, these, were they who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addan, Immer; but they could not tell their ancestral house, nor their seed, whether, of Israel, they were:
次にあげる人々はテル・メラ、テル・ハレサ、ケルブ、アダンおよびインメルから上って来た者であったが、彼らはその氏族とその血統とを示して、そのイスラエルの者であることを明らかにすることができなかった。
60 the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, —six hundred and fifty-two.
すなわちデラヤの子孫、トビヤの子孫、ネコダの子孫で合わせて六百五十二人。
61 And, of the sons of the priests, the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, —the sons of Barzillai, who took of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
祭司の子孫のうちにはハバヤの子孫、ハッコヅの子孫、バルジライの子孫があった。バルジライはギレアデびとバルジライの娘たちのうちから妻をめとったので、その名で呼ばれることになった。
62 These, sought their writing wherein they were registered, but they were not found, —so they were desecrated out of the priesthood;
これらの者は系譜に載った者たちのうちに自分の名を尋ねたが見いだされなかったので、汚れた者として、祭司の職から除かれた。
63 and the governor told them, that they must not eat of the most holy things, —until there should stand up a priest, with Lights and Perfections.
総督は彼らに告げて、ウリムとトンミムを身につける祭司の興るまでは、いと聖なる物を食べてはならないと言った。
64 All the gathered host together, was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty;
会衆は合わせて四万二千三百六十人であった。
65 besides, their men-servants and their maid-servants who were these, seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven, —and there pertained to them, singing men and singing women, two hundred:
このほかに、しもべおよびはしため合わせて七千三百三十七人、また歌うたう男女二百人あった。
66 their horses, were seven hundred and thirty-six, —their mules, two hundred and forty-five;
その馬は七百三十六頭、その騾馬は二百四十五頭、
67 their camels, four hundred and thirty-five, —asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
そのらくだは四百三十五頭、そのろばは六千七百二十頭あった。
68 And, a portion of the ancestral chiefs, when they came to the house of Yahweh which was in Jerusalem, offered voluntarily for the house of God, to set it up on its basis.
氏族の長数人はエルサレムにある主の宮の所にきた時、神の宮をもとの所に建てるために真心よりの供え物をささげた。
69 According to their ability, gave they unto the treasury of the work, of gold, sixty-one thousand drams, and, of silver, five thousand manehs, —and, tunics for priests, one hundred.
すなわち、その力に従って工事のために倉に納めたものは、金六万一千ダリク、銀五千ミナ、祭司の衣服百かさねであった。
70 So the priests and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers and the doorkeepers and the Nethinim, took up their abode, in their cities, —and, all Israel, in their cities.
祭司、レビびと、および民のある者はエルサレムおよびその近郊に住み、歌うたう者、門衛および宮に仕えるしもべたちはその町々に住み、一般のイスラエルびとは自分たちの町々に住んだ。
