Ezra 2
1 Now, these, are the sons of the province, who came up from among the captives of the exile, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon exiled to Babylon, —who came back unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his own city;
És ezek a tartomány fiai, a kik fölmentek a számkivetettek fogságából, a kiket számkivetett Nebúkadneczczár, Bábel királya Bábelbe, és visszatértek Jeruzsálembe és Jehúdába, kiki az ő városába;
2 who came in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai Rehum, Baanah, —the number of the men of the people of Israel: —

3 The sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two;

7 The sons of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four;
Élám fiai, ezerkétszázötvennégy.
8 The sons of Zattu, nine hundred and forty-five;

9 The sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;
Zakkáj fiai, hétszázhatvan.

16 The sons of Ater pertaining to Hezekiah, ninety-eight;

17 The sons of Bezai, three hundred and twenty-three;

59 And, these, were they who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addan, Immer; but they could not tell their ancestral house, nor their seed, whether, of Israel, they were:
És ezek azok, a kik fölmentek Tél-Mélachból, Tél-Charsából, Kerúbból, Addánból, Immérből és nem tudták megjelenteni atyai házukat és családjukat, vajon Izraélből valók-e:
60 the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, —six hundred and fifty-two.

61 And, of the sons of the priests, the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, —the sons of Barzillai, who took of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
S a papok fiai közül: Chobajja fiai, Hakkócz fiai, Barzillaj fiai, a ki elvett a gileádi Barzillaj leányaiból feleséget s az ő nevökről elneveztetett.
62 These, sought their writing wherein they were registered, but they were not found, —so they were desecrated out of the priesthood;
Ezek keresték származási irataikat, de nem találták s visszavettettek a papságtól.
63 and the governor told them, that they must not eat of the most holy things, —until there should stand up a priest, with Lights and Perfections.
És azt mondta nekik a tirsáta, hogy ne egyenek a szentek szentjéből, mígnem támadna pap az úrim es tummim számára.
64 All the gathered host together, was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty;
Az egész gyülekezet egyetemben: negyvenkétezerháromszázhatvan.
65 besides, their men-servants and their maid-servants who were these, seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven, —and there pertained to them, singing men and singing women, two hundred:
Szolgáikon és szolgálóikon kivül; ezek: hétezerháromszázharminczhét; voltak énekeseik és énekesnőik: kétszáz.
66 their horses, were seven hundred and thirty-six, —their mules, two hundred and forty-five;
Lovaik: hétszázharminczhat; öszvérek: kétszáznegyvenöt,
67 their camels, four hundred and thirty-five, —asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
tevéik: négyszázharminczöt; szamarak: hatezerhétszázhusz.
68 And, a portion of the ancestral chiefs, when they came to the house of Yahweh which was in Jerusalem, offered voluntarily for the house of God, to set it up on its basis.
És az atyai házak fejei közül; midőn jöttek az Örökkévaló házába, a mely Jeruzsálemben van, voltak a kik fölajánlották az Isten háza részére, hogy azt felállítsák helyére.
69 According to their ability, gave they unto the treasury of the work, of gold, sixty-one thousand drams, and, of silver, five thousand manehs, —and, tunics for priests, one hundred.
Erejök szerint adakoztak a munka kincstárába: aranyat, hatvanegyezer darkemónt, s ezüstöt ötezer mánét, s papi köntösöket százat.
70 So the priests and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers and the doorkeepers and the Nethinim, took up their abode, in their cities, —and, all Israel, in their cities.
S letelepedtek a papok s a leviták s a nép közül valók s az énekesek s a kapuőrők s a szentélyszolgák a városaikban, s egész Izraél a városaikban.
