Ezra 10
1 Now, when Ezra had prayed and when he had made confession, weeping and casting himself down, before the house of God, there gathered unto him out of Israel, an exceeding large convocation—men and women and children, for the people wept with a very bitter weeping.
А като се молеше Ездра и се изповядваше с плач, паднал пред Божия дом, събра се при него от Израиля едно много голямо множество мъже, жени и деца; защото людете плачеха много горчиво.
2 Then responded Shecaniah son of Jehiel of the sons of Elam, and said unto Ezra, We, have been faithful with our God, and have married foreign women from among the peoples of the land, —yet, now, there is hope for Israel concerning this thing.
Тогава Сехания, Ехииловият син, от Еламовите потомци, проговори та рече на Ездра: Ние извършихме престъпление против своя Бог, като взехме чужденки от племената на земята; все пак, обаче, сега има надежда за Израиля относно това нещо.
3 Now, therefore, let us solemnize a covenant unto our God—to put away all the women and such as have been born of them, in the counsel of my lord, and them who tremble at the commandment of our God, —and, according to the law, let it be done.
Сега, прочее, нека направим завет с нашия Бог да напуснем всички тия жени и родените от тях, съгласно съвета на господаря ми и на ония, които треперят от заповедта на нашия Бог; и нека се постъпи според закона.
4 Arise, for, upon thee, resteth the thing, but, we, are with thee, —be strong, and act.
Стани, защото това нещо на тебе принадлежи; и ние сме с тебе; бъди храбър и действувай.
5 Then arose Ezra and made the rulers of the priests, the Levites, and all Israel, swear to do according to this word—and they sware.
Тогава Ездра стана та закле началниците на свещениците, на людете и на целия Израил, че ще постъпят според това заявление. И те се заклеха.
6 Then arose Ezra from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Jehohanan son of Eliashib, —and, when he came thither, bread, did he not eat, and, water, did he not drink, for he was mourning over the unfaithfulness of them of the Exile.
Тогава Ездра стана от пред Божия дом та отиде в стаята на Иоанана, Елиасивовия син; но когато стигна там, не яде хляб и не пи вода, защото тъжеше за престъплението на ония, които са били в плена.
7 Then made they a proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem, unto all the Sons of the Exile, to gather themselves together unto Jerusalem;
Сетне прогласиха по Юда и Ерусалим между всичките върнали се от плена да се съберат в Ерусалим,
8 and, whosoever should not come within three days, according to the counsel of the rulers and the elders, all his goods should be devoted, —and, himself, be separated from the convocation of them of the Exile.
и да бъде конфискуван целият имот на всеки, който не би дошъл за три дни според решението на началниците и старейшините, и сам той да бъде отлъчен от обществото на ония, които са били в плен.
9 Then were gathered together all the men of Judah and Benjamin unto Jerusalem, within three days, the same, was the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month, —and all the people remained in the broadway of the house of God, trembling concerning the thing, and because of the heavy rains.
И така, в три дни се събраха всичките Юдови и Вениаминови мъже в Ерусалим. Беше деветият месец, на двадесетия ден от месеца; и всичките люде, седейки в двора пред Божия дом, трепереха поради това нещо и от поройния дъжд.
10 Then arose Ezra the priest, and said unto them, Ye, have acted unfaithfully, and have married foreign women, —to add unto the guilt of Israel.
Тогава свещеник Ездра стана та им рече: Вие сте извършили престъпление, като сте взели чужденки за жени та сте увеличили виновността на Израиля.
11 Now, therefore, make confession unto Yahweh God of your fathers, and do his pleasure, —and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the foreign women.
Сега, прочее, изповядайте се на Господа Бога на бащите си и изпълнете волята Му, и отлъчете се от племената на тая земя и от чужденките жени.
12 Then responded all the convocation and said, with a loud voice, —Thus, according to thy word concerning us, must it be done.
Тогава цялото събрание отговаряйки рече със силен глас: Както си казал, така подобава нам да направим.
13 Nevertheless, the people, are many, and, the season, is that of the heavy rains, and we are not able to stand outside, —and, the business, is not one for a single day, nor yet for two, for we have abundantly transgressed, in this thing.
Людете, обаче, са много, и понеже времето е много дъждовито, не можем да стоим вън; при това, работата не е за един ден, нито за два, защото сме мнозина, които сме съгрешили в това нещо.
14 Let, we beseech thee, our rulers take up their station for all the convocation, and, all who, throughout our cities, have married foreign women, let them come in at times appointed, and, with them, the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the glow of the anger of our God be turned from us, concerning this matter.
Затова, нека се назначат нашите първенци да надзирават тая работа за цялото общество, и в определени времена нека дохождат пред тях всички, които са взели за жени чужденки по нашите градове, и заедно с тях старейшините на всеки град, и съдиите му, догдето се върне от нас пламенният гняв на нашия Бог поради това нещо.
15 Only Jonathan son of Asahel and Jahzeiah son of Tikvah, made a stand against this, —and, Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite, helped them.
И понеже само Ионатан Асаиловият син и Яазия Текуевият син станаха да се противят с Месулам и левитина Саватай, които ги подкрепиха,
16 But the Sons of the Exile, did thus, and Ezra the priest separated to himself certain men—ancestral heads by their ancestral houses, and all of them by name, —and they took their seats on the first day of the tenth month to search into the matter;
затова завърналите се от плена постъпиха така; и отделиха се от свещеник Ездра някои началници на бащини домове, според бащините си домове, всички по име; и те седнаха на първия ден от десетия месец да изследват тая работа.
17 and they made an end with all the men who had married foreign women, —by the first day of the first month.
И до първия ден от първия месец свършиха с всичките мъже, които бяха взели за жени чужденки.
18 Now there were found, of the sons of the priests, who had married foreign women, —of the sons of Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren, Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah;
Между потомците на свещениците се немериха такива, които бяха взели за жени чужденки: от синовете на Исуса Иоседековият син и братята му, Маасия, Елиезер, Ярив и Годолия.
19 and they gave their hand, that they would put away their wives, —and, being guilty, [they offered] a ram of the flock for their guilt.
И дадоха ръцете си в обещание, че ще напуснат жените си; и като престъпници принесоха за престъплението си овен от стадото.
20 And, of the sons of Immer, Hanani, and Zebadiah.
А от Емировите потомци, Ананий и Зевадия,
21 And, of the sons of Harim, Maaseiah and Elijah and Shemaiah, and Jehiel, and Uzziah.
от Харимовите потомци, Маасия, Илия, Семаия, Ехиил и Озия.
22 And, of the sons of Passhur, Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethanel, Jozabad, and Elasar.
От Пасхоровите потомци, Елиоинай, Маасия, Исмаил, Натанаил, Иозавад и Еласа.
23 And, of the Levites, Jozabad and Shimei, and Kelaiah, the same, is Kelita, Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.
А от певците: Иозавад, Семей, Калаия, (който е Келита), Петаия, Юда и Елиезер.
24 And, of the singers, Eliashib. And, of the doorkeepers, Shallum and Telem and Uri.
От певците, Елиасив; и от вратарите: Селум, Телем и Урий,
25 And, of Israel, of the sons of Parosh, Ramiah and Izziah and Malchijah and Mijamin and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah.
А от Израиля, от Фаросовите потомци: Рамия, Езия, Малхия, Миамин, Елеазар, Мелхия и Ванаия,
26 And, of the sons of Elam, Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Elijah.
От Еламовите потомци: Матания, Захария, Ехиил, Авдий, Еримот и Илия.
27 And, of the sons of Zattu, Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah and Jeremoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
От Затуевите потомци: Елиоинай, Елиасив, Матания, Еримот, Завад и Азиза.
28 And, of the sons of Bebai, Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
От Виваевите потомци: Иоанан, Анания, Завай и Атлай.
29 And, of the sons of Bani, Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Jashub, and Sheal, Jeremoth.
От Ваниевите потомци: Месулам, Малух, Адаия, Ясув, Сеал и Рамот.
30 And, of the sons of Pahath-moab, Adna and Chelal, —Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezalel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
От Фаат-моавовите потомци; Адна, Хелал, Ванаия, Маасия, Матания, Веселеил, Вануй и Манасия.
31 And, [of] the sons of Harim, Eliezer, Isshijah, Malchijah, Shemaiah, Shimeon;
От Харимовите потомци: Елиезер, Есия, Мелхия, Семаия и Симеон.
32 Benjamin, Malluch, Shemariah.
Вениамин, Малух и Самария.
33 Of the sons of Hashum, Mattenai, Mattattah, Zabad, Eliphelet, —Jeremai, Manasseh, Shimei.
От Асумовите потомци: Матенай, Матата, Завад, Елифалет, Еремай, Манасия и Семей.
34 Of the sons of Bani, Maadai, Amram, and Uel;
От Вениевите потомци: Мадай, Амрам и Уил.
35 Benaiah, Bedeiah, Cheluhu;
Ванаия, Ведеия, Хелуй,
36 Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib;
Вания, Меримот, Елиасив,
37 Mettaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasu;
Матания, Матенай, Яасо,
38 and Bani, and Binnui, Shimei;
Ваний, Вануй, Семей,
39 and Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah;
Селемия, Натан, Адаия,
40 Machnadebai, Shashai, Sharai;
Махнадевай, Сасай, Сарай,
41 Azarel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah;
Азареил, Селемия, Самария,
42 Shallum, Amariah, Joseph.

43 Of the sons of Nebo, Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, —Iddo, and Joel, Benaiah.
От Невоевите потомци: Еиил, Мататия, Завад, Зевина, Ядав, Иоил и Ванаия.
44 All these, had taken foreign women, —and had begotten of them children.
Всички тия бяха взели чужденки за жени; и някои от жените бяха им родили чада.
