< Ezekiel 1 >
1 And it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day of the month I being in the midst of them of the captivity, by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
Afe a ɛtɔ so aduasa no, bosome a ɛtɔ so ɛnan no ɛda a ɛtɔ so enum, ɛberɛ a na me ka atukɔfoɔ ho wɔ Asubɔnten Kebar ho no, ɔsoro bueɛ na mehunuu Onyankopɔn wɔ anisoadehunu mu.
2 On the fifth of the month, that was the fifth year of the captivity of King Jehoiachin,
Ɔbosome no ɛda a ɛtɔ so enum no, na ɔhene Yehoiakin adi atukorɔ mu mfeɛ enum.
3 in very deed came the word of Yahweh unto Ezekiel son of Buzi the priest in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar, —yea the hand of Yahweh, came on him there.
Awurade asɛm baa Busi babarima Hesekiel a ɔyɛ ɔsɔfoɔ nkyɛn wɔ Asubɔnten Kebar ho wɔ Babilonia asase so. Ɛhɔ na Onyankopɔn nsa baa ne so.
4 So then I beheld and lo! a tempestuous wind coming out of the North, a great cloud and a fire catching hold of itself, and it had a brightness round about, —and out of the midst thereof, as burnished copper to look upon out of the midst of the fire;
Mehwɛeɛ na mehunuu sɛ ahum kɛseɛ bi firi atifi fam reba, omununkum kɛseɛ bi a ɛrete ayerɛmo na hann bi a ano yɛ den atwa ho ahyia. Ogya no mfimfini te sɛ dadeɛ a asɔ kɔɔ.
5 and out of the midst thereof, a likeness of four living ones, and this was their appearance, the likeness of a man, had they;
Na ogya no mu na na wɔhunu biribi te sɛ ateasefoɔ ɛnan. Na wɔn su te sɛ onipa,
6 and four faces each, and four wings each, had they;
wɔn mu biara anim yɛ ɛnan na wɔwowɔ ntaban ɛnan ɛnan.
7 and their feet were straight feet, —and the sole of their feet was like the sole of the foot of a calf, but sparkling, as shining bronze to look upon;
Wɔn nan yɛ kyirebenn, wɔn anammɔn te sɛ nantwie ba deɛ, na ɛhyerɛn te sɛ kɔbere mfrafraeɛ a wɔahoa ho.
8 and the hands of a man! were under their wings, on their four sides, —and their faces and their wings belonged to the four of them:
Wɔwowɔ nnipa nsa wɔ ntaban a ɛwowɔ afa afa ɛnan no ase. Wɔn mu biara wɔ nnipa nsa ɛnan a baako wɔ ntaban biara ase,
9 joined to each other, were their wings, —they turned not when they went, each one straight before him, did they go;
na wɔn ntaban keka sisi anim. Wɔn nyinaa kɔ wɔn anim tee a wɔnnanedane wɔn ho.
10 and the likeness of their faces was the face of a man, with the face of a lion to the right of the four of them, and the face of an ox on the left, of the four of them, —the face of an eagle, also had they four;
Na sei na wɔn anim teteɛ: Wɔn mu biara wɔ onipa anim, wɔwɔ gyata anim wɔ nifa so, wɔwɔ nantwie anim wɔ benkum so; na wɔn mu biara nso wɔ ɔkɔdeɛ anim.
11 and their wings were spread above, — two of each joined one another, and two covered their bodies;
Saa na na wɔn anim teteɛ. Wɔatrɛtrɛ wɔn ntaban mu kɔ ɔsoro; na wɔn mu biara wɔ ntaban mmienu mmienu, a emu biara si ɔfoforɔ deɛ anim wɔ benkum ne nifa, na ntaban mmienu nso katakata wɔn ho.
12 and each one straight before him, did they go, —whithersoever the spirit was minded to go, they went, they turned not when they went.
Obiara kɔ nʼanim tee. Baabiara a honhom no bɛkɔ no, ɛhɔ na wɔbɛkɔ a wɔnnane wɔn ho.
13 As for the likeness of the living ones, their appearance was like live coals of fire burning up like the appearance of torches, the same went to and fro between the living ones, —and the fire had brightness and out of the fire, went forth a lightning.
Ateasefoɔ no suban te sɛ ogyasramma a ɛrederɛ anaa ogyatɛn. Ogya di akɔneaba wɔ ateasefoɔ no mu; ɛhyerɛn na emu na anyinam firi dwidwa.
14 And the living ones ran and returned, —like the appearance of a flash of lightning.
Na ateasefoɔ no di akɔneaba mmirika so te sɛ anyinam a ɛredwidwa.
15 And I looked at the living ones, —and lo! one wheel upon the earth beside the living ones for each of his four faces,
Ɛberɛ a merehwɛ ateasefoɔ no, mehunuu sɛ ntwahonan si fam wɔ ateasefoɔ a wɔn mu biara anim yɛ ɛnan no nkyɛn mu.
16 The appearance of the wheels and of their structure was like a Tarshish-stone to look upon, and they four had one likeness, —and their appearance and their structure were just as would be a wheel in the midst of a wheel.
Sei na na ntwahonan no bɔberɛ teɛ: ɛtwa yerɛ yerɛ te sɛ sikabereɛboɔ, na ɛnan no nyinaa sesɛ. Wɔayɛ emu biara te sɛ ntwahonan a ɛbea ntwahonan foforɔ mu.
17 Upon their four sides, when they went, so did they go, —they turned not when they went.
Sɛ ntwahonan no nam a, wɔkɔ faako a ateasefoɔ no ani kyerɛ; ntwahonan no, ɛnnanedane ɛberɛ a ateasefoɔ no nam.
18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were terrible, -and their rings full of eyes round about, had they four.
Wɔn nhankra no korɔn, na ɛyɛ nwanwa, na aniwa tuatua nhankra ɛnan no nyinaa ho.
19 And when the living ones went, the wheels went beside them, —and when the living ones were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up:
Sɛ ateasefoɔ no nante a, ntwahonan a ɛbatabata wɔn ho no nso kɔ saa ara; sɛ ateasefoɔ no ma wɔn ho so firi fam a, ntwahonan no nso ma wɔn ho so.
20 whithersoever the spirit was minded to go, they went—thither was the spirit minded to go, —and the wheels would be lifted up along with them, for the spirit of the living one was in the wheels:
Baabiara a honhom no bɛkɔ no, ateasefoɔ no nso bɛkɔ, na ntwahonan no bɛka wɔn ho ama wɔn ho so, ɛfiri sɛ ateasefoɔ no honhom wɔ ntwahonan no mu.
21 when they went, these went, and when they stood, these stood, —and when they were lifted up from off the earth, the wheels were lifted up along with them, for the spirit of the living one was in the wheels.
Sɛ ateasefoɔ no tu tene a, ntwahonan no nso kɔ saa ara; sɛ ateasefoɔ no gyina a, wɔn nso gyina; sɛ ateasefoɔ no pagya wɔn ho a, ntwahonan no ne wɔn pagya wɔn ho, ɛfiri sɛ ateasefoɔ no honhom wɔ ntwahonan no mu.
22 And there was a likeness over the heads of the living one—an expanse, like terrible crystal to look upon, -stretched forth over their heads above.
Na ntrɛmu bi wɔ ateasefoɔ no atifi a ɛpa yerɛyerɛ te sɛ nsukyeneeɛ, na ɛyɛ nwanwa.
23 And under the expanse, their wings were straight, one towards another, —each one had two covering on this side, and each one had two covering on that side, their bodies.
Na wɔatrɛtrɛ wɔn ntaban no mu asisi anim wɔ ntrɛmu no ase, na ateasefoɔ no mu biara wɔ ntaban mmienu a ɛkata ne ho.
24 And I heard the sound of their wings, as the sound of many waters, as the sound of the Almighty, when they went, the sound of a storm as the sound of a host, —when they stood, they let down their wings,
Ateasefoɔ no tu teneeɛ no, metee wɔn ntaban no nnyegyeɛ, a ɛte sɛ nsuo a ɛreworo so, te sɛ Otumfoɔ no nne, anaa akodɔm hooyɛ. Sɛ wɔgyina a, wɔgyaagyaa wɔn ntaban mu.
25 And there was a voice above the expanse that was over their head, —when they stood, they let down their wings.
Na ɛnne bi firi ntrɛmu a ɛkata wɔn so no atifi baeɛ, ɛberɛ a wɔagyaagyaa wɔn ntaban mu na wɔgyinagyina hɔ no.
26 And above the expanse that was over their heads, as the appearance of a sapphire stone, was the likeness of a throne, —and upon the likeness of a throne, was a likeness as the appearance of a man upon it above.
Na biribi a ɛte sɛ aboɔdemmoɔ ahennwa wɔ ntrɛmu a ɛkata ateasefoɔ no atifi so, na biribi a ɛte sɛ onipa te ahennwa so wɔ soro hɔ.
27 And I saw as burnished copper to look upon, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins and upwards and from the appearance of his loins and downwards, saw I as the appearance of fire, and he had brightness round about:
Mehunuu sɛ, ɛfiri deɛ ayɛ sɛ nʼasene mu rekɔ ne soro no, na ɔte sɛ dadeɛ a adɔ kɔɔ sɛ ogya a ano asɔ, na ɛfiri hɔ reba ne fam no, na ɔte sɛ egyadɛreɛ; na hann a ɛhyerɛn atwa ne ho ahyia.
28 as the appearance of the bow which is in a cloud on a day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about, that was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Yahweh, and when I saw, I fell upon my face, and heard a voice of one speaking.
Sɛdeɛ nyankontɔn to wɔ omununkum mu osutɔ ɛda no, saa ara na hann a atwa ne ho ahyia no teɛ. Yei yɛ Awurade animuonyam ahoyie no sɛso. Na mehunuuɛ no, me de mʼanim butuu fam, na metee obi a ɔrekasa nne.
