Ezekiel 8
1 And it came to pass, in the sixth year in the sixth month, on the fifth of the month, I being seated in my house, and the elders of Judah being seated before me, then fell upon me there the hand of My Lord Yahweh.
Succedeu pois, no sexto anno, no mez sexto, no quinto dia do mez, estando eu assentado na minha casa, e os anciãos de Judah assentados diante de mim, que ali a mão do Senhor Jehovah caiu sobre mim.
2 So I looked, and lo! a likeness as the appearance of a man, from the appearance of his loins and downward fire, and from his loins and upwards as an appearance of shining, as the look of amber,
E olhei, e eis uma similhança como aspecto de fogo; desde o aspecto dos seus lombos, e d'ahi para baixo, era fogo; e dos seus lombos e d'ahi para cima como aspecto de um resplandor como de côr de ambar;
3 Then put he forth the similitude of a hand, and took me by the forelock of my head, —and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heavens and brought me to Jerusalem in the visions of God into the opening of the inner gate that looketh toward the north, where was the seat of the Statue of Jealousy. that provoketh to jealousy;
E estendeu a fórma d'uma mão, e me tomou pelos cabellos da minha cabeça; e o Espirito me levantou entre a terra e o céu, e me trouxe a Jerusalem em visões de Deus, até á entrada da porta do pateo de dentro, que olha para o norte, onde estava o assento da imagem dos ciumes, que provoca a ciumes
4 and lo! there, the glory of the God of Israel, like the appearance which I had seen in the valley.
E eis que a gloria do Deus d'Israel estava ali, conforme o aspecto que eu tinha visto no valle.
5 Then said he unto me, Son of man Lift up. I pray thee thine eyes, the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and lo! on the north by the gate of the altar, this Statue of Jealousy, in the entrance.
E disse-me: Filho do homem, levanta agora os teus olhos para o caminho do norte. E levantei os meus olhos para o caminho do norte, e eis que da banda do norte, á porta do altar, estava esta imagem de ciumes na entrada.
6 Then said he unto me, Son of man Canst thou see what they are doing, —the great abominations which the house of Israel are committing here, that I should go faraway from my sanctuary? Howbeit yet again, shalt thou see great abominations.
E disse-me: Filho do homem, vês tu o que elles estão fazendo? as grandes abominações que a casa d'Israel faz aqui, para que me alongue do meu sanctuario? porém ainda tornarás a vêr maiores abominações.
7 So he brought me into the opening of the court, —and I looked, and lo! a single hole in the wall.
E levou-me á porta do atrio: então olhei, e eis que havia um buraco na parede.
8 Then said he unto me Son of man Break I pray thee through the wall. So I broke through the wall, and lo! a single opening.
E disse-me: Filho do homem, cava agora n'aquella parede. E cavei na parede, e eis que havia uma porta.
9 Then said he unto me, — Go in, and see the wicked abominations. which they are committing here.
Então me disse: Entra, e vê as malignas abominações que elles fazem aqui.
10 So I went in. and looked, and lo! every similitude of creeping thing, and detestable beast, and all the manufactured gods of the house of Israel, - portrayed upon the wall round about on every side;
E entrei, e olhei, e eis que toda a forma de reptis, e bestas abominaveis, e de todos os idolos da casa d'Israel, estavam pintados na parede em todo o redor.
11 and seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan, who stood in their midst were standing before them, even every man with his censer in his hand, —and the fragrance of the cloud of incense ascending.
E setenta homens dos anciãos da casa de Israel, com Jaazanias, filho de Saphan, que estava no meio d'elles, estavam em pé diante d'elles, e cada um tinha na mão o seu incensario; e subia uma espessa nuvem de incenso.
12 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen Son of man what the elders of the house of Israel, are doing in the dark, every man in his image-chambers? for they are saying— Yahweh doth not see us! Yahweh hath forsaken the land!
Então me disse: Viste, porventura, filho do homem, o que os anciãos da casa de Israel fazem nas trevas, cada um nas suas camaras pintadas de imagens? porque dizem: O Senhor não nos vê; já desamparou o Senhor a terra.
13 Then said he unto me, — Yet again, shalt thou see great abominations, which they are committing.
E disse-me: Ainda tornarás a ver maiores abominações, que estes fazem.
14 So he brought me into the opening of the gate of the house of Yahweh, which was toward the north, —and Lo! there, women sitting, weeping for Tammuz.
E levou-me á entrada da porta da casa do Senhor, que está da banda do norte, e eis ali estavam mulheres assentadas chorando a Tammuz.
15 Then said he unto me Hast thou seen O son of man? Yet again, shalt thou see greater abominations than these.
E disse-me: Viste porventura isto, filho do homem? ainda tornarás a ver abominações maiores do que estas.
16 So he brought me into the inner court of the house of Yahweh, and lo! at the opening of the temple of Yahweh, between the porch and the altar, about twenty-five men, —their backs towards the temple of Yahweh and their faces eastward, and they were bowing down eastward unto the Sun.
E levou-me para o atrio interior da casa do Senhor, e eis que estavam á entrada do templo do Senhor, entre o portico e o altar, quasi vinte e cinco homens, voltadas as costas para o templo do Senhor, e virados os rostos para o oriente; e elles adoravam o sol virados para o oriente.
17 Then said he unto me Hast thou seen O son of man? Is it too small a thing for the house of Judah, to be committing the abominations which they have committed here, —that they have filled the land with violence and have again provoked me to anger and there they are! putting the branch to my nose.
Então me disse: Viste isto, filho do homem? ha porventura coisa mais leviana para a casa de Judah, do que fazer taes abominações, que fazem aqui? havendo enchido a terra de violencia, tornam a irritar-me; porque eis que elles chegam o ramo ao nariz.
18 Therefore even I, will act with indignation, Mine eye shall not shield. Neither will I pity, — Though they have cried in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Pelo que tambem eu usarei com elles de furor; o meu olho não poupará, nem me apiedarei: e, ainda que me gritem aos ouvidos com grande voz, comtudo não os ouvirei.
