Ezekiel 6
1 Then came the word of Yahweh. unto me saying,
Neno la Bwana likanijia kusema,
2 Son of man, Set thy face against the mountains of Israel, — and prophesy unto them;
“Mwanadamu, elekeza uso wako kukabili milima ya Israeli, utabiri dhidi yake
3 and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of My Lord Yahweh, — Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh- To the mountains and to the hills to the hollows and to the valleys, - Behold me! I, am bringing upon you a sword, And I will destroy your high places;
na useme: ‘Ee milima ya Israeli, sikia neno la Bwana Mwenyezi. Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi aliambiayo milima na vilima, magenge na mabonde: Ninakaribia kuleta upanga dhidi yenu, nami nitapaharibu mahali penu pote pa juu pa kuabudia miungu.
4 And your altars shall be laid waste, And your sun-pillars shall be broken in pieces, — And I will cause your slain to fall before your manufactured gods;
Madhabahu yenu yatabomolewa na madhabahu yenu ya kufukizia uvumba yatavunjavunjwa, nami nitawachinja watu wenu mbele ya sanamu zenu.
5 And I will lay the carcases of the sons of Israel before their manufactured gods, — And will scatter your bones round about your altars.
Nitazilaza maiti za Waisraeli mbele ya sanamu zao, nami nitatawanya mifupa yenu kuzunguka madhabahu yenu.
6 In all your dwelling-places, The cities, shall be laid waste, and, The high places, shall be made desolate, To the end your altars may be laid waste and become desolate. And your manufactured gods be broken in pieces and cease, And your sun-pillars be cut down, And your handiworks be abolished.
Popote mnapoishi, miji hiyo itafanywa ukiwa na mahali pa juu pa kuabudia miungu patabomolewa, ili madhabahu yenu ifanywe ukiwa na kuharibiwa, sanamu zenu zitavunjavunjwa na kuharibiwa, madhabahu yenu ya kufukizia uvumba yatabomolewa na kila mlichokifanya kitakatiliwa mbali.
7 And the slain shall fall in your midst, So shall ye know that I am Yahweh.
Watu wenu watachinjwa katikati yenu, nanyi mtatambua Mimi ndimi Bwana.
8 Yet will I leave a remnant: In that ye shall have such as are escaped of the sword throughout the nations, when ye are scattered throughout the lands.
“‘Lakini nitawabakiza hai baadhi yenu, kwa kuwa baadhi yenu watanusurika kuuawa watakapokuwa wametawanyika katika nchi na mataifa.
9 Then shall they who have escaped of you remember me, among the nations whither they have been carried captive, In that I have broken their adulterous heart, which hath turned aside from me, And their eyes which have adulterously gone after their manufactured gods, So shall they become loathsome in their own sight, for the wicked things which they have done in all their abominations.
Ndipo katika mataifa ambamo watakuwa wamechukuliwa mateka, wale ambao watanusurika watanikumbuka, jinsi ambavyo nimehuzunishwa na mioyo yao ya uzinzi, ambayo imegeukia mbali nami na macho yao ambayo yametamani sanamu zao. Watajichukia wenyewe kwa ajili ya uovu walioutenda na kwa ajili ya desturi zao za kuchukiza.
10 Then shall they know that, I, Yahweh, —not in vain, had threatened to bring upon them this calamity.
Nao watajua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana, sikuwaonya bure kuwa nitaleta maafa hayo yote juu yao.
11 Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Smite with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot and say, Alas! regarding all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel, —in that by sword, by famine, and by pestilence, shall they fall:
“‘Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Piga makofi, kanyaga chini kwa mguu na upige kelele, “Ole!” kwa sababu ya maovu yote na machukizo yote yanayofanywa na nyumba ya Israeli, kwa kuwa wataanguka kwa upanga, njaa na tauni.
12 He that is far off by pestilence, shall die and He that is near by the sword, shall fall, and He that is left and is besieged by the famine, shall die; Thus will I make an end of mine indignation against them.
Yeye aliye mbali sana atakufa kwa tauni, naye aliye karibu atauawa kwa upanga, naye yule atakayenusurika na kubaki atakufa kwa njaa. Hivyo ndivyo nitakavyotimiza ghadhabu yangu dhidi yao.
13 So shall ye know that I, am Yahweh, In that their slain are in the midst of their manufactured gods, on every side of their altars, — Upon every high hill In all the tops of the mountains and Under every green tree and Under every tangled oak, The place where they offered a satisfying odour to all their manufactured gods.
Nao watajua kwamba Mimi ndimi Bwana, wakati maiti za watu wao zitakapokuwa zimelala katikati ya sanamu zao kuzunguka madhabahu yao, juu ya kila kilima kilichoinuka na juu ya vilele vyote vya milima, chini ya kila mti uliotanda na kila mwaloni wenye majani, yaani, sehemu walizofukizia uvumba kwa sanamu zao zote.
14 Thus will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land a greater waste and devastation than the desert toward Diblah throughout all their dwelling-places, - And they shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
Nami nitanyoosha mkono wangu dhidi yao na kuifanya nchi yao ukiwa, kuanzia jangwani hadi Dibla, kila mahali wanapoishi. Ndipo watakapojua ya kwamba Mimi ndimi Bwana.’”
