< Ezekiel 4 >

1 Thou therefore O son of man Take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, —and portray thereon a city, even Jerusalem.
“Ugbu a, gị nwa nke mmadụ, were otu ọkpụrụkpụ aja, tọgbọ ya nʼihu gị. Sepụtakwa obodo Jerusalem nʼelu ya.
2 Then shalt thou lay siege against it And build up against it a siege-wall And cast up against it, a mound, — And set against it camps, And place against it battering-rams, round about.
Seekwa ihe nnọchigide nʼagha megide ya, wuokwa ụlọ ndị agha gburugburu ya, wukọta ụlọ ikwu dị iche iche megide ya na ihe e ji akụdasị mgbidi ya niile.
3 Thou, therefore take thee a pan of iron, and set it for a wall of iron, between thee and the city, —then shalt thou direct thy face against it and it shall come into siege and thou shalt lay siege to it, a sign, shall it be to the house of Israel.
Werekwa efere igwe debe nʼetiti gị na obodo ahụ dịka mgbidi e ji igwe wuo. Chee obodo ahụ ihu gị, ka ị chegide ya nke ọma nʼihi na ndị iro gbara ya gburugburu. Nke a ga-abụ ihe ama nye ndị Izrel.
4 Thou, therefore lie thou on thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it, — during the number of the days which thou shalt lie thereon, shalt thou bear their punishment.
“Ugbu a, dinara ala nʼakụkụ aka ekpe gị, aga m enye gị ntaramahụhụ mmehie ndị Izrel, ị ga-ata ahụhụ mmehie ha ụbọchị niile nke ị ga-edina nʼakụkụ gị.
5 I therefore have appointed thee the years of their punishment, by the number of days a hundred and ninety days, —so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
Nʼihi na ana m enye gị narị ụbọchị atọ na iri ụbọchị itoolu, ọnụọgụgụ nke a na ọnụọgụgụ nke afọ ntaramahụhụ ha ga-abụ otu, ọ bụ oge ha. Otu a ka ị ga-esi buru mmehie Izrel.
6 And when thou hast ended these, then shalt thou lie, on thy right side. a second time, and shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah, — forty days, one day for each year, have I appointed thee.
“Mgbe i mesịrị nke a, ị ga-edina ala nke ugboro abụọ, ma ọ ga-abụ nʼakụkụ aka nri gị, ị ga-eburu ntaramahụhụ mmehie ndị Juda. Ọ bụ iri abalị anọ, otu ụbọchị ga-anọchi anya otu afọ.
7 Thus then unto the siege of Jerusalem, shalt thou direct thy face, with thine arm made bare, —so shalt thou prophesy against it.
Chee ihu gị nʼebe nnọchibido Jerusalem, gbara aka nkịtị buo amụma megide ya.
8 And lo! I have laid upon thee-bands, —and thou shalt not turn thee from thy one side to thine other, until thou have ended the days of thy siege.
Aga m eke gị eriri ahụ gị niile, ka ị ghara inwe ike tụgharịa site nʼotu akụkụ gaa nʼakụkụ nke ọzọ tutu ụbọchị nnọchigide gị ahụ niile ezuo.
9 Thou, therefore, take thee wheat and barley and peas and lentils and millet and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make them ready for thee as bread, —during the number of days which thou art lying on thy side. a hundred and ninety days, shalt thou eat it;
“Ma gị were ọka wiiti na ọka balị, werekwa akịdị na lentil, na ọka milet na spelti. Tinyekọta ha nʼotu ite were ha meere onwe gị achịcha. Nʼụbọchị ole ahụ niile nke ị ga-edina nʼakụkụ gị, narị ụbọchị atọ na iri ụbọchị itoolu, ọ bụ ya ka ị ga-eri.
10 and thy food which thou shalt eat shall be by weight twenty shekels a day, — from time to time, shalt thou eat it;
A ga-atụ ihe oriri gị atụ, nri nke ị ga-eri otu mgbe ga-abụ narị gram abụọ na iri gram atọ; naanị otu mgbe ka ị ga-eri nri nʼụbọchị.
11 and water by measure, shalt thou drink the sixth part of a hin, -from time to time shalt thou drink;
A ga-ekupụtakwa mmiri ị ga-aṅụ, ị ga-aṅụ mmiri naanị otu ugboro nʼụbọchị, otu udu mmiri e kere ụzọ isii.
12 and as a barley cake, shalt thou eat it, —and the same with dung proceeding from man, shalt thou bake, before their eyes.
Ị ga-eri ya dịka ogbe achịcha ọka balị, ị ga-eghe ya nʼelu nsị mmadụ kpọrọ nkụ mgbe ndị mmadụ nọ na-ele gị anya.”
13 Then said Yahweh, In like manner, shall the sons of Israel eat their bread defiled, —among the nations whither I will drive them.
Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Otu a ka ndị Izrel ga-esi rie nri rụrụ arụ, nʼetiti mba dị iche iche ebe m ga-achụga ha.”
14 Then said, I, Ah! My Lord. Yahweh, lo! my person, hath not been defiled: neither of what hath died of itself nor of what hath been torn in pieces: have I eaten, from my youthful days even unto now, neither hath come into my mouth the flesh of a foul thing.
Mgbe ahụ, asịrị m, “E e, Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị lee, emerụbeghị m onwe m site na nwantakịrị m ruo ugbu a, eribeghị ihe ọbụla nwụrụ nʼonwe ya, maọbụ nke anụ ọhịa dọgburu, anụ na-adịghị ọcha abatụbeghị m nʼọnụ.”
15 So then he said unto me, See I have granted thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, —and thou shalt prepare thy bread thereupon.
Ọ sịrị, “Ọ dị mma, aga m enye gị nsị ehi nʼọnọdụ nke mmadụ, nʼelu ya ka ị ga-akwado achịcha gị.”
16 And he said unto me, Son of man Behold me! breaking the staff of bread in Jerusalem, So shall they eat bread by weight and with anxious care, And water by measure, and in astonishment, shall they drink:
Mgbe ahụ, ọ gwara m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, lee, aga m eme ka nri kọ na Jerusalem; ha ga-eji nchegbu rie nri a tụpụtara atụpụta, jirikwa egwu ṅụọ mmiri e kupụtara ekupụta.
17 that they may lack bread and water and be astonished one with another, and pine away in their punishment.
Aga m eme ka ihe oriri na mmiri ọṅụṅụ kọọ ha. Ha ga na-elerịta onwe ha anya nʼoke egwu, ha ga-anwụkwa nʼihi mmehie ha.”
